@kodybear: Thanks for keeping up the list! I've got my anatomy scan scheduled for 4/1.

@xInfinity: great news! So glad it went well.

I'm 18w 2d and tried to go off of Diclegis yesterday to see what happened, figuring I'm so far along the morning sickness had to have let up by now...bad idea. I spent the day vomiting and super nauseated and basically useless at work, once I finally dragged myself in at 10:30--as bad as the worst day of morning sickness I had before starting drugs for it. So back onto Diclegis I went last night and I won't try that again until I show *no* signs of nausea on it. I just hope I'm not one of those unlucky souls who has morning sickness until after delivery!

I'm so looking forward to our anatomy scan and getting another peak at baby girl!

Congrats to everyone on their good scans and finding out gender!

We had our anatomy scan this morning and everything looks good. The tech asked us right away if we were going to be Team Green so it was nice we didn't have to worry about that. Measuring a week ahead again !

So I just had my anatomy scan.. it went well for the most part. baby is still a boy! mostly everything looked well except two things. usually the cord is attached at the center of the placenta, but mine is near the edge. i think i read it happens in about 7% of pregnancies and is usually fine, but it may cause some growth issues as we get further along so if they do confirm this (i have another u/s in 3 weeks) i'd probably have to get monthly scans. they also saw what could be an echogenic bowel, which is a marker for downs. my doctor said my first/second trimester screening came back with a 1/18,000 chance of downs and she told me she wasn't worried about either of these issues... but i am still alittle freaked out! blah. i will get both checked in 3 weeks but it def put a damper on the anatomy scan!!

@kodybear: Aw, I'm sorry. Hopefully 3 weeks from now they can give you more answers.

@BakerBee: thanks! yeah the dr told me not to worry and not to google it, and told me the chance of an issue for both are very low... but once i know about it of course i'm going to worry!

@xInfinity: @T.H.O.U.: glad to hear both of your scans went well!

@kodybear: sorry to hear that you're freaked out! try to stay off dr. google if you can.

we had our elective gender scan today and it's a boy! I was so surprised and we are so excited! my in-laws are going to be in town this weekend (they live 8 hours away), so we get to tell them in person. now we can try to decide on a name and start working on the nursery!!

@kodybear: I'm sorry. I'm sure that it will end up being nothing and that baby will be healthy. 3 weeks is a long time to stay calm though. Hang in there!

    @erind425: Congratulations!!

@mrs. 64: thanks! i'm feeling better today. dh isn't worried (altho it does take a lot for him to be worried about something). i'm hoping that marker ends up being a fluke so that theres only 1 issue to worry about. i have read (on dr google of course) that the cord issue isn't a problem in 90-95% of cases, so i'm hoping i'm one of those lucky ones!

@kodybear: Gah, I'm so sorry I'm really really hoping it's just a fluke, and that it doesn't mean anything!! My SIL was told her daughter was going to have half a heart (or something awful like that). Everything ended up perfectly fine! It sure makes for a stressful pregnancy though

@Mrs.Someone: I can give you like a million reasons why boys are better, but the #1 reason is that you don't have to deal with a teenage girl! Plus the clothes for boys are just as cute - and it's easier to buy neutral because you aren't distracted by / forced into the pink explosion.

@Mrs.Someone: congrats! I think boys and girls are equally wonderful!

@BakerBee: LOL! I don't know man, I'm pretty terrified of raising a boy if he's anything like DH & his two brothers were as a kid and teen. They put teens on movies to shame....

@kodybear: sending good juju vibes your way! (((hugs)))

@swurlygurl: thanks! i appreciate you (and everyone elses) support! i don't know how much we'll tell people IRL if there are issues, so its good to know i can just let it all out here i just keep telling this baby to keep growing healthy!

@BakerBee: Hah, very good point about the teenaged girl thing! I do know that boys really love their mommys, so thats a good thing too.

@locavore_mama: Very true. My husband had two sisters and his mom says she always had to remind him that he didn't know his strength. I always think to myself -- why the heck was he trying out his strength levels on his sisters anyways???

Related to what @kodybear just posted... can the baby hear us now? I thought it was pretty loud in the womb, but I've read they come out knowing your voice?

  26. regberadaisy

@BakerBee: I forget what week it is that they start hearing. I think it's def after 20 weeks. But it's uncanny how M, I swear, "recognized" us when she first came out. She def immediately snuggled into me and rooted for the boobs upon skin to skin contact. LOL!

    How's everybody doing?

We had a great weekend which included a small gender reveal party on Sat, and on Sun DH was able to feel the baby kick for the first time! I noticed in the morning that I could feel it on the outside and spent the whole day trying to call him in at the right time. We finally got it in the evening. DH was so excited - it was awesome

We had our anatomy scan on Friday. Still team blue, everything was measuring on schedule or ahead.

OB prescribed me a med for the MS - promethazine? Anyone try it? Looks like it's used anywhere from a sedative to an allergy medicine to anti-nausea. Hoping it helps.
