So Ryan slept 8-3 last night then til 6 and then til 7. But I went to bed at 9 so after the 3 am wakeup I felt like it should be morning and couldn't sleep! I'm not complaining but if he could juuuuust get to 5 I would be able to get up and start my day!

@winniebee: That's a great stretch! He's getting so close to allowing you to function like a normal person! I have no idea how you take care of him AND a toddler on such ridiculous sleep. You're my hero.

@Adira: ughhh that stinks I am sorry!!!!@winniebee: He is soooo close to giving you awesome sleep!!!!
G however had an awful night I heard her flapping/eatin her hands about every 1-2 hrs a few times she fell back asleep Thank god but we nursed 3x last night, that is the most we have done in a long time...nursing in car now before our music class

@MrsF: She does as a hunger cue or just sometimes, but I think this growth spurt is making her nuts....lol

So sorry to everyone who is sick and/or has a sick little one. That must be so tough!!
We were up every 1-1hr 45 mins last night He did sleep 3 hrs for the first stretch, but he went down at 8:50 and I didn't get to bed until after 10. Ugh I can't take all of this crappy sleep.

Anyone else feel like they are covered in spit up 24/7? It's so frustrating and gross! Sometimes I just want to cry when I get both of us all cleaned up and he spits up again I've read that 4 months is the peak, so hopefully we're almost there!
I know it could be worse because at least he's a "happy spitter" whereas M had bad reflux and was also on nutramigen, which smells like rotten hamburger. That was really terrible.

@MrsF: I should have taken stock out in aiden and anais. Their burpy cloths are aprinkled all over our house. Ryan is a spitter as you know and it hasn't gotten any better! He doesn't seem to be in pain any longer thankfully.

@theotherstark: seriously?!? How long has this been happening? Is he swaddled? Maybe it's time to ditch it since sleep is so bad!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@theotherstark: ohhh man hopefully that is not an every night occurrence???
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@theotherstark: right there with you, up every 1-1/2 to 2 hours last night and ended up co- sleeping because he wouldn't sleep otherwise. At least its a weekend! Hopefully that is a one- night thing for us and not a full scale regression.
@Adira: hope you feel better soon!
We are off to a St. pats day parade today and then E is going to GMA's for a bit so DH and I can go out. Yay for nice weather!

M managed to give us his best nights sleep ever! Went to bed about 7:30pm, ate about 1am, changed him at 1:30am, ate at 3:20am & woke for the day at 6:45am. He's usually up around 4ish trying to poop so he grunts & makes a lot of noise.
Sorry for everyone that's feeling bad & the bad sleeping babes.

Thanks all!
And we've been chewing on our fist too, although we're still swaddled at night so she can't get to them then.

I know a lot of you just went through the 12 week spurt, but this is no joke........

@AngelicOne: Glad you feel your getting some good sleep in, it's nice when they surprise you

Ryan has entered cat nap stage. I hate this one. Every nap is now 30-45 mins. And Ty has officially given up his nap. There are zero breaks around here!

@winniebee: Man.....I'm impressed you are even functioning.....go Mama!!!

I think being sick might be affecting my supply... Logan has been fussing at the book every single feed today.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@winniebee: we'd be lucky to get to 45 minutes. Today each one was barely 30 minutes.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: my supply totally tanked when I was in the thick of this sickness. My letdown took forever and Ryan was pissed. I started taking more milk plus and it got better. I also pumped after a few feeds a day and offered top off bottles
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Miss Ariel: the short nap sucks. But at least your baby sleeps through the night!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Ugh, that sucks. Has your supply recovered now? I'm hoping mine goes back up soon...
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: yeah the past few days it was better. There were a good 4 days last week when I was stressing. I have been sick for 13 days now
nectarine / 2210 posts
@winniebee: very true! And if short naps are what is needed to keep things that way then I'll take it.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I think I'm going to have to call the pediatrician again tomorrow and see if they can look at Logan. He's been on his inhaler for 5 days now and doesn't seem to be getting any better. If anything, I think he might be a little worse.

This afternoon and evening have been filled with crap naps. I'm not sure what's going on with K's sleep today, but I'm hoping it doesn't roll into tonight (as she's stirring and fussing!).
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: I'm so sorry! Day 5/6 was the worst for us and from there he started to improve. My doc said that was common. I'm sorry
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: poor guy
@winniebee: @MamaG: we didn't have any naps over 30 minutes yesterday either. We were out and about a lot. It's hard to sleep when your big sister is yelling next to you in the back seat
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: That's actually really helpful to hear! Maybe Logan is on the verge of starting to get better. Fingers crossed!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: Poor babe, hope he gets better soon!!!!@MamaG: @MrsF: Naps were a shit show yesterday other than our first after music class...she did however do better last night 5+5 so that was better
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Well, took Logan to the pediatrician today. The doctor didn't seem too concerned. He's definitely pretty wheezy, but not having a real hard time breathing and his oxygen levels are fine. He said I should start to see him improve any day now, so... fingers crossed!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@Adira: that sounds like good news! Hope he starts to feel better soon.

I think it's probable we have hit the four month sleep regression. Her sleep has gone to shit. Seems like it's time to move to the crib and start some sleep training. I'm over being screamed at all the time. And C is over not getting any attention.
This is rough. I don't know how those of you with poor sleepers are surviving because I'm ready to run to work tomorrow
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: that's good. I bet you will see an improvement tomorrow.
@MamaG: I drink coffee and go to bed at 9 :). And the office sounds fabulous some days! Hope it's short lived. I'm worried about what a few weeks from now has in store for us....
