@theotherstark: M still wakes about 3 times a night, so crappy sleep club here too still. He's also scooting backwards when he's on his belly. This kid wants to be moving all the time now.
@FaithFertility: That's normal for M! lol Jealous of those of you with good sleepers.
Not sure if it was a hidden burp or DH misread M's hungry cue, but he fed him & poor baby (& mommy) ended up wearing it. He threw up the whole bottle. Felt so bad for him.

@AngelicOne: man I'm sorry if it is any better she was up at 4 too
I don't get how G can do great then not there is no norm anymore.....it's like she slept good last night sooo tonight I'm getting up every 3 hrs!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: it's just unpredictable 4m sleep!
I was reading in weissbluth that it's normal for breastfed babies to wake up x2 a night until 9 mos. Zzzzzzzz
I have to take Ryan to the doc today. His big brother spit in his eye while he was laying in the ground. 24 hours later green goopy eye, tearing, red, swollen. I was supposed to attend a continuing legal ed class today too. Always something!

@FaithFertility: Exact same schedule here the st couple nights... And last week was so good I thought we were making progress!
@winniebee: No fun! Eek. Hope its an easy fix. Sounds crazy but a drop of bm might help, its naturally antibacterial. It helped clear up Ethan's leaky eye.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: I've heard that too, my pedi is big on him/her and always makes me feel good about our sleep when I see him....lol
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Xander did that (wake up twice a night) essentially, but his wake-ups were at reasonable times: 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. And it was around 9 months that we dropped the 9:00 p.m. one!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: oh wonderful lol
@FaithFertility: I feel you...
@Adira: Your boys are good to you! At least Xander picked "good" times to wake up lol!
K was waking 2x w/ a few STTN but lately went back to reliably waking up 3x. Dropped the merlin b/c the house was too hot last night... She was totally fine, but was so squirmy and fussy after her 6:30am wake up and eventually I had to put her back into the suit for her to conk out.

@snowjewelz: Does she eat when she wakes?
Last night G was chugging each time??? I tried to shush her in my arms buy she just sucked my shoulder and rooted sooo hard
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Yeah, I always just pick her up and hold/rock first and if she continues to fuss then I feed... So on top of the 3x I think there is at least 1 additional "wake up" but as soon as I pick her up she's out again.
@FaithFertility: Haha mommy! What are you doing giving me your shoulder?! Growth spurt...?!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: That is what I am hoping......I just do not want her to get used to the feeds but I mean when she is going nuts and then chugging how can I not??
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I think if she's seriously chugging the milk then it's okay? Or maybe try cluster feeding her in the evening before bed? I def think if they're using us as a paci then it can def become a habit very soon... I really only want to get back down to nursing/being paci twice over night!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: I agree, she actually will pull herself off when done eating... lol but I am sure the sucking in its self is soothing.......
I agree 1-2x I can handle some nights I secretly enjoy the cuddles

@winniebee: we had goopy eye here 2 weeks ago, and then it came back a week after i stopped the drops. did another go-round and hoping it's not a clogged tear duct. k had them in both eyes and ended up needing surgery (and even a stent in one, beyond the typical probing!). it is seriously always something.
and yeah, we did some minimal sleep training with k to get her to go down easier at night, but i never forced anything with the MOTN wake-ups. she dropped her 2 MOTN feeds (usually 1a and 4a) around 9 months. apparently she read weissbluth something tells me this one hasn't read the book. maybe i'll start reading it to her -- ha!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: Gah hope yours clears up! I'm fine with 2 wakings. They are usually at 2 and 4:45. One would be great! I want to do sleep training to eliminate the 45 minutes post bed time crying and to be able to put him down for naps without rocking though!

Eye infection for poor little Ryan Use eye cream for 10 days. He doesn't seem upset by it fortunately.

We've got a cold. Sleep was hard last night. I struggled with pushing the crib where I knew her congestion would only get worse. I hope she gets some sleep at daycare today and we have a better night.

There's another Logan in Logan's class at daycare!! Ooops! Guess his name is too popular.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@BandDmommy: 6 months! It really is flying...
@winniebee: that's crazy! Did your doc think the eye infection was from the spit?
@MamaG: I hope everyone is feeling better soon!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: Aww boo to the eye infection..glad R seems uneffected!
@MamaG: Hope she got some sleep too! Stinky cold!!!
@Adira: In my 5 years of teaching I've only had 1 Logan
nectarine / 2210 posts
@Adira: I can't think of any Logans I know personally. Although when I hear the name I think of Logan from the baby-sitters club books that dated Maryanne! Ha!
pear / 1961 posts
@missariel: ha! Yes! Say hello to your friends - babysitters club...
The only other Logan I know is a 30+ year old girl
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: yeah only because it happened the day before and...spit is filled with bacteria. Tyler literally hocked a lougee in his eye. It was disgusting.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: It totally makes sense. It just had never occurred to me. Kids = gross.
On that note - J hadn't pooped in 4 days and decided to go in Target today. Gotta love changing a mega blowout in a public bathroom while trying to keep an infant from licking a changing table and a toddler from touching the toilet. If I had a do-over I'd have gone out to the car.

Pretty terrible sleep night for us last night, and I don't think I can blame it on teething. What else to blame...
What's everyone up to this weekend? We're taking a house-hunting trip. It will be our first time with both girls on an airplane. I'm not looking forward to lugging all of the stuff, especially 2 car seats! Luckily DH's parents are meeting us there so they can watch the girls while we are out and about.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: Not good news re: sleep. HEY where are you moving to? Wall me or message me on FB! I want to know details!
It's my husband's bday Saturday so we are headed to his mom's. Staying over and having brunch there then over to my parents for the rest of the day. My husband asked me what I wanted for mother's day....besides a full night's sleep? I asked for nice family pictures. My husband HATES being in family pictures so big win
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: Oh my At the time you prob just needed to get to the nearest place you can! But I agree that I'd choose car over nasty bathrooms too!
@KayKay: Haha I know, I have nothing to blame either! Leap 5 is not due to begin for a while, she's not teething (in the sense that it's not erupting yet)... I feel like she's just waking out of habit now which means time to sleep train
So exciting! I'm guessing you guys are moving far then if it involves planes!
@winniebee: Haha sweet! Good strategy there!

@winniebee: sleep was my first thought on a mother's day gift
Sounds like a fun weekend. Enjoy.

@KayKay: Happy Travels, hopefully both girls are super cooperative and the trip is a breeze. Hope you are landing somewhere that will makes you happy
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: ewwwww! R still poops 3 or so times a day and they are BIG. I can't imagine what's going to happen when he is down to 1!
pear / 1961 posts
@winnibee: fb messaged you. probably went to Others folder since i can't figure out how to friend you (i think we both have it set to not allow randoms to friend...)
@snowjewelz: @mamag: DH is just finishing up his fellowship training, so we were in CO for a year and now moving to MN. becoming a doctor = lots of moving. but we're excited for the move and think it will be a good fit....hopefully a forever fit, although stats say otherwise.
