@KayKay: House hunting, how fun! Hope it goes well!
We are having brunch at a restaurant Sunday with my FAM, then back to parents house so they can play with Ethan.
@winniebee: Yay for family pics! I wants some so bad but don't think we'll get them done till fall.
Talking about poop how often do you guys have blowouts? Ethan does practically every other day if not more, he can be sitting up in his bouncer and it will STILL come out the top of the diaper! We r in 3s and they fit well!
We had wake ups every 2 hrs but he went back to sleep on his own twice once I turned on his mobile and gave him his paci-plushie. I need to get back to doing that vs nursing each time, past two nights weren't so good.

@josina: e doesn't poop very often (maybe 2x a week?), so not many leaks. we do need to move up to size 3 diapers, though, i'm just trying to use the rest of the 2s up during the day. this age was the worst for poopsplosions with K though -- mostly because she started sitting and it would always find the path of least resistance (up her back...). i ended up putting a flip cover over her disposable diaper often to help contain. what kind of diapers are you using? i used pampers with k but have come to realize that the back of those sucks because it doesn't have the elastic! it gaps a lot. this time around we are mostly using earth's best or 7th gen, and they seem to do better.

K finally went back to pooping once a day so I'm happy... But it almost does mean more blowouts! She blows out the most when she's sitting up... On Tue DH said she exploded all over herself, the playmat, and then just got it on everything she touched/kicked... lol!

@KayKay: I'm from MN Best of link with house hunting and the move!!!!!
@josina: We seem to be blow out free for some time...lol probably just jinxed myself....lol
I hope E goes back to doing good in crib! I've also tried to introduce her WubbaNub to her more but she seems not to into it

My sister was over all day yesterday and G LOVED her!!! She tried bottle and came out of the room cracking up...said G was smacking it away arching back and talking/yelling as if to say "He lady I'm over this...lol
I have to say both mom and MIL are great but my sister who actually is a Nanny will DEFINITELY BE doing most of the babysitting!!! Which I know she can't wait to do!

@josina: We have a poop leak like once every other day. One this morning up the back. He's in size 2 and is only 13 1/2 lbs so he doesn't need to move up yet....

I don't think Logan poops every day, but lately he's been doing his pooping at daycare, which is nice! And Logan's still wearing size 2 diapers.
@winniebee: Jealous you're going to get family pictures! We have a wedding this weekend, so I'm really hoping we can get a nice family picture of everyone dressed up. Although Xander's fighting his suit, so it might not happen.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: so great that she is a nanny! you can def put her to good use!
@Adira: Hahaha nice job Logan! What dress are you wearing? Did you ever get a nursing friendly dress? I currently only have one dress that's a button down shirt dress.. I'm debating buying a ton of new clothes, or seeing if I'm gonna possibly wean at all...
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@KayKay: We use luvs during the day and pampers overnight (luvs don't make it). We have tried a bunch of brands though and he still manages blow outs.
@Adira: Daycare gets R's dirty diapers too!
@FaithFertility: Aww glad G did good with your sis!

@Adira: Take those pics! I am so mad we didn't get a good family photo at Es baptism or at Easter when we were all dressed up!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: I got this dress:
http://www.queenbee.com.au/Product-floressa-margueritte-breastfeeding-dress-4171.aspx
Doesn't look as good on me as it does the model, of course, but it's nursing friendly!
@josina: I'm going to take some pics (hopefully), but I'm worried Xander will refuse to wear his suit. Every time I show it to him, he starts crying and saying "no thank you!!"
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: haha, true! He almost always says "no thank you" to say "no."
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Ive been just eye-ing wrap/button down dresses b/c specific nursing dresses are all so expensive and not that many choices! I feel like I have nothing to wear this summer and it almost makes me want to wean lol!

@winniebee: what an awesome idea! My husband feels the same, but I've never thought of asking for a family photo shoot as a present. I just may need to consider that when my birthday comes around.
@KayKay: as for this weekend, Saturday dh has a baseball game. I really want to go out for brunch on Sunday. It'll just be the 3 of us though since my inlaws are on vacation in Alaska.

@snowjewelz: I just have one that works that's a button down too. I'd love to have a second one, but I'm not sure it's quite worth investing in.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Yeah, I was going to just get a wrap dress for this wedding, but I couldn't find one I liked, so I splurged on this one from Australia. Luckily it's in Australian dollars, so it was actually $75 including shipping!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Ohhh! Yeah I was like why are these dresses so expensive?!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: TOTALLY agree!! I think I'm going to try to get as much use out of this dress as I can now that I have it. I haven't worn it yet, but after the wedding, I figure it's nice enough that I can wear it to work since it ends at my knees as has thick straps. I'll just dress it down with a work blazer.

@KayKay: Sorry for the bad night I hope your house hunting trip goes well! So exciting!
@winniebee: I'm with you! Sleeping through the night would be absolutely divine...
@josina: We probably have blowouts maybe twice a week? He's started pooping less (he was still going several times a day until recently) so it's more volume when he does.
@FaithFertility: That's great that G does so well with your sister!
@Adira: Nice dress! I hope you can get some family pictures. I'm always so glad when we manage to do that.

J has been SO distracted nursing the past few days. He stops when his big sister is around (which is almost always), if there is a noise, or even just to smile at me. When I try to put him back on he just starts crying. He refused to nurse for more than a few minutes all morning but was fussy and then ate for 40 minutes solid just now before I put him down for his nap. I'm not sure what I can do differently. I have to care for him and M most days so I can't really nurse him in a dark room. We have to get out and about or we'll all go crazy!

@KayKay: Good luck house hunting!
We just booked M's first trip! We're going to MN next month for DH's cousin's wedding & to visit his family. This should be fun....(hopefully!)
persimmon / 1050 posts
@MrsF: M usually poops once, sometimes twice a day. I hate the blowouts when we're out & about. It's hard enough changing him at home sometimes. lol
pear / 1961 posts
@mrsf: ditto on the distraction over here. there either cannot be ANYTHING else going on (e.g., lights off, dead silent) or she better be REALLY hungry. otherwise, there is just a lot of back-arching and head-twisting to see what she is missing. it's really frustrating! i try to nurse her in her bedroom with the lights off and white noise still on when she wakes up for the morning & after naps, but that's just not possible for every feed, esp with a 3 year old running around like a mad woman.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: Ugh, I'm sorry! Logan's been super distracted too. If he can even HEAR Xander, he can't focus on eating unless he's super sleepy. I don't have any advice though because he's at daycare during the day, so I don't generally have to deal with both at the same time by myself.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@KayKay: K does the arching/head twisting now if I'm rocking her to sleep and she's like SUPER tired yet! I'm like trust me there is NOTHING to see!!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: I read somewhere that if you have dresses that zip up in the back you can wear them backwards to make them nursing friendly!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I just ordered two dresees from Old Navy since they have 30% off and both are on sale... One button down and one wrap... Will see how it goes!

Ummm.....what is up with my kid???
Went to do our bedtime routine
She was splashing like a nut in tub
Laughing and cracking up during diaper change/jammies
And talking to me wouldn't eat during last nurse before bed?
Sooo.....I layed her in pnp and shut the door!
We shall see.....
Who gave her a dose of crazy tonight???
eggplant / 11861 posts
@whenoceansrise: that is a good idea
@snowjewelz: Let us know, I'm in desperate need of clothes
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: lol!!!! She will probably get mad and then you can just nurse her
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I had to go pick Ty up from school today since he wasn't acting like himself, sort of weepy, coughing, said he missed me. He seemed ok this afternoon but I'm sure he's coming down with something. R sounded hoarse today as well (plus the eye!) and even though he had 2 decent naps he went bonkers at 630 and was fast asleep by 7. Earliest ever! I'm a little nervous...
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: I hope things went ok. Did she fall asleep?
@winniebee: I hope your boys are both feeling better. Fingers crossed for good sleep!

HA. Ryan was up at 10, 1 , 3 up for day at 520. Naughty!

@winniebee: @FaithFertility: I don't think our kids like to sleep lol! K juuuuust gets 10 hours... She has never ever slept for 12 hrs total!
