@MamaG: I am! So freeing to not constantly added ounces in my head and stressing about making enough!

@josina: Poor buddy
@MamaG: Big sister seems ok with it. It makes him a better audience for her She's usually pretty neutral about his presence though. Yesterday she asked me if I could "just put him out somewhere".

Uhh so I'm home with K today and I was poking around her mouth to see if I can get a pic of her tooth and I realized the 2nd tooth is out too Just a lil corner!

Had our first little "family dinner" tonight that actually included J! We always all eat together, but not J. He bounces in the jumparoo for about 4 minutes until he starts freaking out and I take him upstairs to eat and go to bed. Tonight I made sweet potato wedges to go with our dinner though so let him munch on a few of those (just sliced sweet potato roasted - no salt on his) and he was happy as a clam! It's a pain to have to get him clean before bedtime - I had forgotten how messy BLW is. Worth it to see him so happy though. He's also enjoyed the 2 ingredient pancakes from the HB blog lately. I've been making them for M for 2 years and they're still a hit

@MrsF: awww so sweet! What are these 2 ingredient pancakes?
I know egg and banana!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Yup! I usually add a little tiny bit of baking powder and some cinnamon as well. I make a batch and freeze them in little batches of 5 or 6.

@MrsF: ok we do these too!
Wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on somethings else!
Love the idea to freeze them!

@MrsF: that is great to eat as a family! Blw gives this ocd mom anxiety lol! But seeing them eat and feed themselves is priceless!

@snowjewelz: Yay teeth!!
@MrsF: So sweet having a family dinner! And babies are messy eaters...
Logan was apparently pretty miserable yesterday. Coughing all day. Fever of 100.2. Eczema flaring up. Diarrhea. Just a mess. He slept most of the evening though and no fever this morning, so hoping he's on the mend!

@Adira: Aww, poor guy. Hope he feels better today!
We had a much better night last night, Ethan's still a little fussy but the Tylenol seems to help. Shots today won't though!
We usually feed Ethan with us at dinner time (baby food) but last night we let him have some waffles with us (sans-syrup) and he was doing pretty good at practicing his pincher-grip, but I think a lot more ended up his lap then in his mouth. Fun to watch him figure it out though!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@josina: Ugh, shots. Logan is supposed to get his on Friday too. That's so cool about the food! I should give Logan some puffs or something to practice on.

@josina: @Adira: the 6 month shots were the worst one yet for us. She didn't really want to eat the morning after, and it took almost 2 days for the fever to go away. Hopefully you guys will have better luck than us!

@Miss Ariel: ughhh I fear this
She was so upset after her 4 month ones I couldn't even nurse her to calm her down
Now on top of her stranger danger radar I'm affraid it will be awful!
Sorry!!!!!

@Miss Ariel: Ugh, thanks for the heads up. At least he's getting them on a Friday so we have the whole weekend to recover.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Miss Ariel: Awww, hope we don't have to deal with that.. Ethan's been good each time and no fevers yet.

@Miss Ariel: @FaithFertility: @Adira: @josina: we had 6 months shots yesterday and so far he's been normal! no fever and his sleep was normal last night!

@Adira: thankfully ours was on a Friday as well.
@josina: I think that's why it was such a surprise for us because it's the first time she's spiked a fever.

G just grunted while going tot he bathroom...lol sorry tmi but it was too funny
@snowjewelz: I know you said K does this...

@FaithFertility: lol.. I caught E on camera once when I was trying to get him to giggle... his face was so funny, and his grunt.

@josina: Good luck with the shots!
@Adira: I hope today is a better day. Poor baby!
@MrsF: Fun! We have been feeding Ryan at dinner time with us as well I let him explore finger foods first and then finish with purees. It's such a mess though!!!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan had his 6m well visit today and shots. He's 14 lb 12 oz and 26.25 inches. I was surprised to hear that his weight is only 5th percent given that he's 1.5 lbs heavier than his brother was at this at this age...and given that he is pretty solid. I'm not worried since he's gained 9.5 lbs since birth but still it would be nice to not have a low percentile kid for once! Shots were ok - cried a lot didn't want to nurse He ran a fever for 3 days after the 4m so I hope that's not the case again!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: oh yeah Ryan makes a major poop face now! All those solids have firmed things up down there lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Hahahaha yeah! It's so funny!
K had no issues with 6 mo shots! didn't even act abnormal
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: that's crazy! I wonder if boy vs girl is diff bc K is 16.4 and she is 50%
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: yeah boy v. girl percentages are different. a few of the girls on here are a pound or more smaller than ryan and still 5th percent.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Boys and girls have different scales for their percentages.
pear / 1961 posts
@snowjewelz: @winniebee: i was going to say the same thing about boys vs. girls. E was almost the exact same weight as R at her 6 month appt, and she was...30th percentile or so? i can't remember, but it wasn't as low as 5!
