@MrsF: @winniebee: @KayKay: @FaithFertility: thanks ladies! it definitely wasn't fun, but it could have been way worse!
we started our bedtime routine at 7:00- we did bath, massage, jammies, breast, and book. put him in his crib awake at 7:30. he stood straight up in his crib and we did the sleep sense program where you put your chair next to the crib and stay in the room until he falls asleep. dh took first shift and we took turns (20 minutes each time) we'd sit there and keep laying him down after he'd stand up and rub his back and tell him we love him and it's night night time. he fell asleep sittig up in his crib at 9:15 so dh just layed him down. he didn't wake up again until 12:45 which is longer than he usually sleeps. i waited 10 minutes before going in and repeated the 20 minute process. he fell back asleep at 1:30. he woke up a few more times during the night but never cried longer than 5 minutes and fell back asleep on his own without me having to go in. up for the day around 6:00am.

@whenoceansrise: How are you feeling about it this morning? Do you feel like it was better than what you were doing before? It sounds like he got longer stretches of sleep which equals a win in my book
nectarine / 2053 posts
@MamaG: it was hard during the process of him crying and reaching for me, but i kept telling myself that in the long run this will help him. and yes, he got a lot more sleep than he usually does and so did i! i'm feeling pretty good and rested this morning

@whenoceansrise: Good for you. It's a foundation to build upon. In theory it's supposed to get easier over time. I hope tonight shows additional improvement for you.

Ughhhh we NEED professional photos I unfortunately have always had bad experiences so I just don't know....but I feel like we need some before she is a toddler

@FaithFertility: We are going to a local Target Portrait Studio to save money! I heard very good things about it, and it's much, much cheaper than a professional. I have a few friends that do photography, but I always feel bad asking b/c I feel like they won't let me pay a normal price haha!

@snowjewelz: Yeah I need to figure something out! I take a zillion photos daily so I feel like I have a bunch...lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Maybe just pop into one of those to get a birthday/holiday family picture! Or dress up and ask someone to take a few for you at home! We totally DIY our own photoshoots all the time lol.

@FaithFertility: We do Picture People for the girls. Both DH and I hate having our photo taken. They are in our local mall, we get decent enough studio photos and they are fairly reasonable. They often have Groupons. Also, I know a couple of daycare families that use JCP Photo Studios and the photos look good too.
Our secret to keeping the cost low'ish is we buy the CD and print elsewhere.

@winniebee: definitely progress! thank you
@MamaG: i hope so too! we'll have to start the routine later tonight because we won't be home until later so i'm hoping that doesn't mess things up!
@FaithFertility: i'd take some photos for you if i were closer! i bet you could ask around and some friends could recommend someone for you!
@josina: thank you! they are going to be christmas gifts for the grandparents haha!
@snowjewelz: the girl that does all of our photos is a friend of mine and never makes me pay full price. i always feel bad so i make her agree to let us take her and her husband out for dinner!

@FaithFertility: We found our photographer through FB friend recommendations. She is awesome! She is extremely popular and books up months in advance. Same with our cake person. But my area has a large population and things sell out early.

@BandDmommy: I bet! The few I've used are pricey and I just wasnt happy! I am not picky by no means but the quilty was just standard! Not to mention he wedding photographer that lost 75% of our photos

@whenoceansrise: Beautiful pics! Love the colors of the leaves.
@MamaG: We use Picture People for M's pics too. It's inside our local Buy Buy Baby, which is like 5 minutes away, so it's convenient.

@FaithFertility: I think I'm just going to DIY E's photos, unless I score a good black friday deal (like last year with his newborn pics). I told DH at least when I take them I can do them when he's in a good mood, I love our photographers, but if E isn't having it, there's nothing they can do!

@whenoceansrise: Sounds like progress on the sleep front - and such beautiful photos!
We've never done professional pics - I'm thinking maybe in the spring? One of the moms in M's preschool class is a photographer who does a lot of local families - we'll see!

@FaithFertility: Your wedding photographer lost your photos!!?? That's horrible!

So we have everyone going on the pinkeye treatment but I noticed that J felt warm when I got him up from his morning nap and his temp was 103.2 Poor kid. Molly was almost NEVER sick until she started preschool and of course Jack is right along for that ride. I feel so bad for him in our germy house!

@MrsF: Yes!!!! She overrided them on her flash drive or whatever and thought she saved them to her computer but didn't honest mistake, but she lied for months saying the photos were sent and the CD was on its way!!
that was the part that made me livid!!!!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: omg I would have been furious about both parts, but certainly the lying. Horrible.

@FaithFertility: how awful! Did she at least give you a refund? Not that it can make up for it!

@MamaG: ugh these kids!

G is my stage 5 clinger these days, girl won't leave me alone....lol
Her favorite new thing is to pull up on my legs and walk in and out and between them...adorable but when I am cooking or cleaning..... lol
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: ugh yes same here. I have permanent marks on my jeans where R pinches and clings while I'm cooking. He is super clingy and a little fussy lately too. A few days left in this wonder week so I wonder if that's it? His cold is almost gone. We are working on some teeth but I hate that excuse.
Speaking of teeth has any of the other babies teethed out of order? R has two bottom and an upper incisor. And another upper incisor coming through. Baby Dracula!!!!

@MrsF: I'm so sorry!!! T was really sick in daycare as a baby but he doesn't seem to get as much as other kids now. I think that's why!
@MamaG: you guys can't catch a break.
