@MrsF: I'm sorry : ( I hate them too. I brought Ryan last Friday even though I really didn't want to

@mrsf: seriously - they are awful. i swear one of my kids get sick everytime before we head out of town, and then it's the debate of should we go to the doc/should we go on the trip at all/etc. Every. damn. time.

Ugggh, I am so sorry for all the sick kids! I hope everyone is on the mend soon.
@josina: so sorry for your loss Hope you all have a nice celebration of his life.

@MrsF: how was J this morning? K slept a solid 12 hours overnight. No fever this morning and acting so much better so far.
Two sick days right before a week of vacation sucks for me though. We aren't going anywhere but my mom is coming to town for Ks birthday.
And this antibiotic and the aftermath in her diaper is killing me. Like burn a candle to make my house smell better. Ugh.

GERMS NOT WELCOMED HERE!!
Is it like this every winter?! Or this year is esp bad?!

@BandDmommy: I simply can't believe it! And DS3 is on his way too

@snowjewelz: Every winter is rough, but the first is the worst.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: yup winters suck but they do get better and easier. The good news about all the daycare germs is they have pretty good immunity when they start school in Kinder.

@BandDmommy: I think you had shared a link to the towering ball maze toy you have, can you share it again? I'm too lazy to go back through pages of posts to find it. Thanks!
pear / 1961 posts
@banddmommy: i know! growing up way too fast...
@snowjewelz: the worst winter is whenever they are putting everything in their mouths, IMO. before/after that, it's a bit easier to avoid germs with lots of hand washing, outside time, etc. but there is nothing you can do when EVERYTHING goes into their mouths -- at best, your daycare might wash things the second a kid is done mouthing it, but you can only do so much.

@KayKay: Oh yeah totally... There's only 6 kids in her class but I'm sure someone prob always has something!

So my mom says tonight to G "When are you going to get some hair to cover up your ears?" I laughed and she says they stick out and she can say that because she is her grandma?!?!?!?
What.......lol
She has DH ears and I think they are adorable!

@MamaG: I'm 24 hours late on this reply, but J was much better yesterday too and no fever today either! I hope K is still doing better today. The sick days suck but I'm glad you have vacation time and family visits coming up.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Oh no! Did you all get some sleep eventually? What do you think was going on?
And G is so beautiful - with or without hair! (M had about the same amount of hair as G has on her first birthday - and you've seen the crazy blonde hair that she has now!)

@FaithFertility: ROUGH night. Ryan was randomly up for an hour the other night. I wanted to die! Everyone comments about Ryan's lack of hair...and lack or neck....I just laugh. He's adorable to me!

@MrsF: Thank you! I was bald too.....lol
I think she is fighting something or teeth she was super happy girl today but sleepy as can be ! Took 3 naps and went to bed at 6:50!!!!

I dropped another feed today which made the first time that I have ever put Jack down to sleep (his morning nap) without feeding him! We don't nurse to sleep but it definitely helps him calm down so I was nervous. I sang to him in the rocking chair and held him for a few minutes before putting him in his crib. He rolled over and fell asleep immediately. Silly me for worrying!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: that's great!! I think the morning nap nursing will go soon for us too. He goes down fine without it! Are you doing sippies of milk I forget?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: wow! Probably fighting something.
pear / 1961 posts
@mrsf: nice! i only nursed E 3x yesterday (wakeup, before nap, before bed), but she ended up waking up at 3a hollering. not sure if it was hunger or what, but i fed her so she'd go back to sleep. i'll give it a couple more tries to see if the wake-up was just a fluke -- hopefully!
i have >150oz of frozen milk and have realized that she is pretty meh about bm from a sippy. water or WCM she will chug, but bm she will only take a couple sips before losing interest. i'm going to send it to daycare with her, i guess? maybe she'll take it better when i'm not there. or if not, just ditch it.

@KayKay: You could look into donating it, depending on how old it is?
pomelo / 5660 posts
So, D is officially 1. We had her birthday on Saturday, it was a lot of fun. Today is her 1 year dr. appointment, not looking forward to the shots. Hopefully she does well with them.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: Yeah go J! They are getting so big!!!
@KayKay: I'm hoping G chugs WCM too as her formula can is getting low and I plan on just switching then!
@BandDmommy: Crazy! Our first 1yr old
Well we had a weekend, super sleepy/fussy girl then hours of her fine?!?
She is home today with DH in case she needs one more day to hang out, temp back to 98

@adira: i looked into it when we moved, since i wasn't planning on bringing any with me. it's actually a bit of a pain + it's not particularly fresh + i don't abstain from coffee/alcohol or technically follow their cleanliness guidelines. i also think it's kinda crappy that the most common one (RMCH) takes your donated milk and then charges people for it. i know they say it's to cover their costs, but still.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: Ahhh! I can't believe she's 1 already!!! These babies are growing up too fast!
@KayKay: Oh man, bummer.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: yeah - I have a pretty good stash so I've been thawing some for a straw cup each day and topping off with WCM if he drinks all of that. I just offer with snacks or meals.
@KayKay: I hope the wakeup was just a fluke! I have a big stash too and can't donate because of my migraine meds and now it seems a little silly that I pumped so much. Can you offer it or mix it with WCM so she gets some of the benefits through the germy season?
@BandDmommy: I can't believe she's ONE! Her party looked like a blast. I hope the appointment goes ok.
@FaithFertility: hopefully she has a good day today!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes last week with the funeral, etc. Gpa was ready to go, so I'm sure he's happier and no longer in pain.
@BandDmommy: Aww, can't believe we are going to have 1 year olds already!! Love her birthday pics.
@FaithFertility: Hopefully G is feeling better today.
Yesterday was the first time I actually gave E a bottle to skip a session, I def. don't feel as full during the day since I dropped to one pump/day.
I have waayy too much milk stored also, def. shouldn't have worked so hard to pump so much! I think my original mindset was that I was going to quit breastfeeding sooner and use it, but now I'm struggling with how to wean at 1 year! Yikes.
Lots of cuddle time yesterday since DH and I spent the day on the couch watching movies, I just let E take his naps on/next to me.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: D's bday looked so pretty/fun! And I can't believe you guys did family shoot too! I can't believe we're starting to pass the 1 year mark!
@josina: Well E will have lots of bm to drink still! That's great! I am the opposite, I should have worked harder to pump!
K takes like 3-5 steps now! But she will ONLY do it when I'm there telling her to come to mama lol. And with the last step she just leaps into me so that doesn't help, haha.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: Awww those were out naps yesterday in our bed or on me or in car...lol
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan napped 40 mins this morning, 1.5 this afternoon and slept 9.25 hours last night. I need a drink and it's only 2:30.
