@winniebee: blahhhh.... Drink one for me I'm at work until 7:30!

@winniebee: K's been the same way! Barely 10 hours (8-6) but somtimes falls asleep after 8 and sometimes is up before 6.

@snowjewelz: Literacy Night! Got home just in time to put G to bed!

All K wanted to do today was sleep and eat with a small amount of playing in between the eating. Seriously, she ate so much today, but barely would drink. She also keeps messing with her left ear. I can't decide if that means the antibiotic isn't working for her or if she has teeth issues or both. Boo.

@MamaG: aww poor girl, G is still sleepy too?! Took 3ish maps today!

Is there a growth spurt around one year?? Logan has been waking to nurse more at night the past few days. Or maybe my supply is just finally tanking and we need to up his solids?
pomelo / 5660 posts
@Adira: D chunked up when she moved to WCM but it didn't affect her sleep. Maybe he needs more solids?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: Yeah, he hasn't been eating much dinner lately, so maybe that is the problem.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: who knows! G is waking at night too the last few days I think teeth, but last night would only nurse back to sleep?!?
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Adira: E has been up more too, around 1 each night to nurse and back up at 4/5 again. I've noticed since I went down to pumping 1/day he's been nursing more at night as I don't think I'm as full...
We let him eat as much as he wants at dinner though, usually till he starts to throw it on the floor.

@Adira: Ryan has always been a single side nurser but the past few weeks has switched to double sided feeding. I think it's because he's only nursing 4x a day and my supply has adjusted. I also let him eat however many solids he wants. Breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snacks (sometimes 2), dinner. A typical day would be a scrambled egg and 1 sausage, link, some fruit; snack of applesauce pouch or a banana; pasta and chicken, veggie; snack of yogurt/crackers/deli turkey; dinner of whatever we are having. So he eats a fair amount.

@snowjewelz: @winniebee: H has been sleeping only about 9.5-10 hrs at night too. What the heck?? I think daylight savings time really threw him off, plus he's had a cold these last few days. Rough sleep! Not that his sleep has ever been good. Haha.
@MamaG: poor girl!! I I hope she is feeling better today
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@winniebee: man, he eats a lot!! I feel like H still isn't eating a ton of solids. I always give him a fair amount, and he does eat some, but he still spits out a fair amount, wipes food off his tray to the floor for the dog, etc. So I don't think he is actually eating a lot. Sigh.

@FaithFertility: glad you could still get home to put her to bed!
@theotherstark: yeah, us too. DST and cold, and sleep hasn't been the same! She still STTN most nights, and if there is a wake-up, it's brief and she just rolls around till she falls asleep again. But the 6am wake-ups! I've tried putting her to bed earlier, later.. She still wakes up around the same time!
About good, I'm sure it's okay! Eventually when he weans and solid food becomes his main nutrition, he will eat more!
She's been sipping on some cows milk here and there; I think we're gonna get some almond milk next to see how she likes it. I still am really confused as to what I'm gonna do once she turns 1. I am pretty sure I can eliminate all bottles since she never loved the bottle that much... But maybe keep her bed time bottle with warmed WCM for a while...? Or give it to her warm in a sippy... I don't knoooow.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@theotherstark: He's always been a very enthusiastic eater! Some days he throws a lot on the floor, other days eats everything. I don't think he's drinking more than 16oz of milk a day though.

K eats a ton. She just had breakfast 7 mini ego waffles, blueberries and water. She's not big on milk. She'll be hungry again in about 90 minutes. Of course I've got the extra chunky baby that won't stop moving until she is put in her crib.

J's always been a big eater but I've been trying to offer him tons of solids (3 big meals and at least 2 snacks with a straw cup of milk) now that I'm only nursing him 3 times a day. DH is taking the kids away for a night for thanksgiving (I'm working ) and I'm all worried that he's not going to feed him enough. What is wrong with me??
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Yeah, Logan is teething too, so I wonder if that's part of it.
@josina: Yeah, I've started pumping less and my output is really down, so I thought maybe that was it, except he spent the day at daycare yesterday and had his normal amount in bottles, so I would've thought he would've been good! Though maybe I'm not as full in the evening either when he nurses to sleep? I need to try to get him to eat more dinner I guess. Having to nurse him right after I go to bed SUCKS!
@winniebee: Logan's been eating a decent amount of solids at daycare, but because they are only putting him down for one nap, he's exhausted by the time we get home and doesn't seem interested in eating solids... he just wants to nurse and go to bed. But then he's hungry again in a couple hours! Ugh.
@MrsF: I think it's our jobs as moms to worry incessantly. It's normal! And J will be fine!!

@adira: i've noticed that E seems to wake early morning (3-4a) when she is teething. if i nurse her, she'll go back down. that's really the only indicator though, and i usually don't figure it out until the tooth cuts and she is back to sleeping well
also, E has been chowing down for afternoon snack (somewhere between 330-4ish depending on nap), and i've noticed somedays will then eat smaller dinner and wake up to nurse. but girl loves her some pirate's booty. i think she'd eat a whole bag if i'd let her.
pear / 1961 posts
@mrsf: that's tough! i'm sure he'll be fine, but i totally understand the worries.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: Aww, it's normal! No one can do a better job than us, haha! But it's just one night! And boo that you have to work
@KayKay: I'm pretty sure I'm complicating things, haha!

Hi ladies
I wanted to say thank you for the lovely card, wind chimes and donation to the PKD Foundation in Ava's honor. I posted on FB about M having a stomach bug. Luckily he's stopped throwing up, but this kid has slept just about all day! Hope he sleeps better tonight & is feeling better tomorrow for our trip.
Think M is teething again too. He keeps gnawing on fingers in the back of his mouth. Fun times!

So we loaded up Logan with a bunch of solids for dinner last night, but he still woke up. We decided to give him some Tylenol and NOT nurse him. He ended up whining on and off for an hour, but eventually fell back asleep. So I guess that's good...

@sandy: your family is beautiful, and I lobe watching your adventures!!!
