@winniebee: THere are a couple of stores I'd like to hit up at our outdoor outlet mall nearby and DH suggested we go ahead today since it's not raining. I was like, ummm nope! It's less than 30 degrees and all four of us are coughing. It's not that important to go shopping. Meanwhile all of us are dying to get OUT!

E hadn't pooped for a week until today. It's common after a month to reduce frequency, but I don't remember K having any stretches this long. HUGE poopsplosion -- I find it hard to blame the diaper for not being able to contain it! I was trying to deal with both kids on my own and just ditched the onesie instead of trying to do damage control & stain removal. But how happy was I to know the trick about pulling it down off of her instead of up over her head?!

@theotherstark: wow that's long!!! Mine is outgrowing some NB stuff lengthwise and THAT seems long to me

@magnolia: I haven't heard from her in awhile and have been thinking of her too.

Last night was so much better. Still only 2 hour stretches but quicker wake ups and had to do some early morning co sleeping but we slept 915-830 (my husband was home to get up with our toddler). I need to start baby wearing at home! This baby was awake for 3 hours this morning and I worked hard to get him down. For 2! Then he slept 2 hrs, ate and then slept 2.5 more....up for 40 mins and passed out again! I don't understand babies.

@magnolia: I was following her other thread about the surgery progress, etc and I follow her on IG... Lemme see if there had been updates!

@MrsF: well it says for 7lbs and up; we have check up tomorrow, she should be close to 7 lbs. it just seems like her legs would have to spread pretty wide to sit which she is not used to and I already made the base narrow already. Plus she kinda sloshes around and prob doesn't feel snuggled. My shoulder straps always feel like they are gonna fall off too since I have narrow shoulders.

@MamaG: I just wonder if they follow up bc technically diabetes is not an ob thing? if you are not pregnant I don't know what they would do beyond telling you to diet.. Would they force you to follow up with another dr? Ugh I am so not looking fed to it! At least you have been having all the sweets you want
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: they really have no schedule still! K had two good naps this morning, then kinda skipped the last one, so now I'm feeding her a little early and hoping she would just pass out after...

@magnolia: awww 4 weeks already! I went to the store today for about an hour and missed her too...it was nice and she was with DH but I rushed... fastest grocery trip ever

@KayKay: that's a long time! I didn't know that onsie trick with my DD. Glad I know better this time.

@snowjewelz: j is almost 12 lbs so I'm sure it's easier with him. I don't separate his legs over the seat at this age. I just let him curl his legs up under himself, if that makes sense.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: @magnolia: I feel the opposite haha. I miss my long leisure strolls at Target! DH lets me out once a week and I always stay till the last possible moment lol!

@snowjewelz: I expect my OB to at least call to be sure that I have the results. But, yes, I sort of expect her to refer me to someone else for ongoing diabetic management.
Honestly, I truly believe I need to manage my diet and weight and I will be okay. My mom also has diabetes but makes no effort to manage it. I know her Dr tells her that if she just lost a little weight she'd be okay.

@MamaG: I agree! I think it's good to try to eat heathier but nicer to not have to report to anyone! If I fail I might ignore it lol

@snowjewelz: He's been in daycare! They were just closed a little early on Wednesday and all on Thursday, but he went the other days. He's back to five days a week though tomorrow. At this age, EASY is a little unpredictable because THEY are unpredictable. I couldn't get Logan to stay awake at all during one of the supposed Activity time stretches! But it gets easier as they get older. And hopefully K will actually nap without being held soon!!
@KayKay: I remember those long non-poop stretches with Xander and then a blowout!! He used to go a week+ without pooping and then when he did, LOOK OUT!!! Not looking forward to that with Logan...

You guys getting me all nervous for those blowouts Kara still poops multiple times a day for now...

@snowjewelz: I am working my way to that I am getting a pedicure with my BF next week and I will make sure I enjoy it!!!
But I am sure you enjoy those breaks since K likes to be held all day
It will be easier to leave once we get to giving her a bottle!
We got back to DR tomorrow to check her weight, MAN I PRAY she gained weight! I think she did! I also have sooomany ?? for him, I need to make a list

@MamaG: that sucks! I'm starting to get afraid to retake mine since I've been eating carbs like crazy. I keep meaning to check my sugars on mine own to see what they're like, but haven't actually managed yet.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: ahh heavenly! I must do that soon.. I have been using my free time to return/exchange stuff for Kara and to stock up on household stuff!
We weight on our scale but of course it's not down to the oz.. We have appt tomorrow and we are so nervous too! Hope all our LOs gained well!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: Maybe that's s good idea to see what I might need to expect.. But then downing that drink on an empty stomach is pretty different than just eating too...

@FaithFertility: @snowjewelz: Good luck at your appointments today!!

OMG, this night has been brutal. Logan has only done 2 hour stretches and he keeps waking up in between grunting and whining. I feel like I haven't gotten any sleep. It's like he knows Dada has to go back to work today and wants to make sure I'm exhausted for my first day alone with him.

@Adira: oh no, I'm so sorry.
Well D freaked me out. She slept for 7 hours. I kept making sure she was breathing. She's now been asleep for almost 3 hours.

@Adira: sounds like my normal night hah! Hope you got some rest!
@BandDmommy: that's great! T started doing long stethces like that around 8w

Who all is on a dairy free diet and what are you eating? How perfect are you being? We got green watery poo around here as of yesterday and my instincts are telling me Ryan has gut issues like his brother. And he's just so burpy and spit uppy maybe it will help. I'm really bummed. Going to try to get into the ped today.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: I'm trying to be pretty perfect with the diet. I'm eating a lot of eggs and a lot of turkey sandwiches on a safe bread that I found. Salads with chicken breast. Gotten some recipes off MSPI mama. Way too many Oreos
I accidentally ate a million pieces of a coffee cake that turned out to have soy in it (tofu in coffee cake!) and didn't have any reaction, but I'm still eliminating soy for now as well.
Did you do an elimination diet with your first or was he FF?

K had a good night sleep and didn't cough. I hope she's already getting through her cold or the RnP is just the right incline to ease her congestion.
On the other hand C is sleeping horribly. She was in bed at 8:30 but no actually asleep until 10:00. And then up again between 4:00 and 5:30. Needless to say, I had to wake her at 7:00 for school. I don't think we were wearing her out at home, hopefully she's exhausted tonight after returning to school today.
And as I'm typing K just started coughing in the RnP. Yes, we aren't up for the day yet.

@Adira: this was exactly my night! Also today is my first day alone as well. We got this!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: thanks! Wall me if you have any good tips. My fave bread (pigs fly) is safe thankfully! I tried one with my first but wasn't perfect by any means and since I was EP I didn't make it too long - started him on nutramigen at 5 months and he did great on it. I would prefer to BF since it seems to be going well. I guess it will help with the weight loss too.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: ahh no!
@BandDmommy: wow!! I'm hoping the 7 hrs is at night?! Maybe she got tired from the games, lol!
@MamaG: hey family can spend as much time as they want in bed! I just got up not too long ago.. After K's first morning feeding we both napped. I hope its the tail end of the cold!
@whenoceansrise: good luck! You will do great! The only annoying thing about being alone is you don't have that helping hand! Hope Micah will be good to his mama!

Does anyone else have a difficult to burp baby? K is awful. She falls asleep and grunts and moves like she is uncomfortable but just won't burp! Her gas issues seem to be improving, but these sleepy burps are challenging.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: DH is much better at burping than me. And yea sometimes she is passed out and won't burp! Honestly I skip burps for MOTN unless I have to change diaper!
