@winniebee: I've been only wearing maternity leggings. Haven't even attempted to put on anything else! I can't wear nursing tanks with shelf bra out.. Waaay too much cleavage. I'd wear nursing bra, nursing tank that pulls down, I got 2 nursing tops from Kohls that has a mock tank attached to a long sleeve that can be pulled down.

@FaithFertility: I've been walking around the block since we came home, although I live in Southern California so weather has not been an issue for us! I alternate between using a carrier and our stroller with the carseat in there. He's 8 weeks old, though, so at this point I better get my butt back in gear! Also, I think you'd said you wanted help with the Moby? Here are two YouTubes to the (only!) way I know how to wrap. He's currently in the Moby napping as I type!
also
minute is how to get it on before you put the baby in).

@josina: Ryan likes the swing well enough. I put him in it when he is mostly asleep and he will nap in it.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@josina: We have a swing, but the two times I put Logan in it, he just fussed more! So we haven't really been using it.
@winniebee: I'm wearing a nursing tank and a nursing hoodie from Motherhood. The hoodie is soooooo comfortable and perfect for winter. I have it in two different colors (http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=99672Z20362&MasterCategory_Id=MC29).
Someone tell my kid to go to sleep already. He's been awake for 2+ hours now and is starting to get on my nerves!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Logan, go to sleep! DD didn't really take her last nap either. And now not sleeping after feeding either!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@josina: total guilty mom moment here, but lately J will only sleep in the swing or being held He slept in the r'n'p at first but now he's not having it. We're staying at my parents' for the weekend and I can't believe we're going to have to bring the swing! Oh well.
Plan is to break him of it by 8 weeks. I think now she's still in that newborn "do whatever you can to get some sleep" zone.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: That's exactly what Logan just did! He didn't go down for a nap, so I decided to just feed him a little earlier than normal, figuring he would nurse to sleep, and he's just stayed awake! Go to sleep babies!!!

@winniebee: My go to tops are tank tops that I just pull down. I have a few nursing tops but they are baggy....
I wear my maternity jeans that I got when I was first Prego.... they fit the best! When I am lounging at home I wear pj pants a lot and cotton shorts.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: Awww thank you! I finally figured it out, thanks, we tried but she just tried to root and nurse my chest the whole time....lol we will try again after a BIG good feeding!
Yeah I am in FL so I really have no excuse either, maybe we will try a walk this weekend!

@Adira: G just went down, for a nap after me holding her after nursing... lets see...
Logan and K go to bed babes
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: we have a snug a puppy swing, and G likes it, I mean she is not crazy about it, but will nap in it from time to time, I try to switch between putting her down in there and a small bassinet in the living room during the day.
My mom told me I was dependent on the swing, and only if it was swinging...lol back when they had to crank them...so I am making sure I don't give her that habbit
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: at least he sleeps in something lol! I'm doing the same thing, just surviving till 6 weeks!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Okay, it has been two hours since I tried nursing him to sleep and he's still awake! I'm trying nursing AGAIN and praying it works this time!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@winniebee: I've been wearing the same - maternity tanks from target with zipped hoodies or cardigans. I only have 1 pair of jeans that fit other than my maternity jeans which I am constantly pulling up. I start back to work next week though so need to go shopping! I hate having to buy jeans for this in between stage so I'll be shopping cheap!

@Adira: We are up again too.... just chilling on DH chest...........geeeesh

@Freckles: nope, no baby scale.
We don't have much of a schedule yet, but need to get one! E will nurse more often in the evening, but lately seems to be wide awake late evening too. We go to bed anywhere between 9 and 11. I usually nurse and rock him to sleep.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: yeah dd only slept for like 30 min in my arms plus the 20 min I spent rocking her. Now I'm nursing again too
I'm seriously considering topping her off with 1-2oz at next feeding!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: These babies are messing with us! Go to sleep!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Adira: hopefully he sleeps good tonight! E has been out for awhile, I might need to wake him up or he'll be wide awake till 11 with my luck.
Also, E fussed the first few times in the swing too and it seems to have finally clicked with him!
@MrsF: we are about to that point I think! At night I can only get long stretches if E is sleeping in bed with us.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Nursing didn't work. He's mow been up for 4.5 hours. Hubs has taken over so I can go to bed, though if Logan is still up in an hour, I said I would try nursing again.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: our first was a total swing addict and would only nap there or the car from like a month to 4 months! We bought a second swing for my in laws!!!!
Ryan was also just awake over 2 hours. Nursing then fake sleeping then acting starved then fake nursing then sleeping then nursing then fake sleeping. I actually at one point squeezed my boob to make sure there was something left! Maybe he will actually sleep tonight? HA! Trying just swaddling his body tonight as he sleeps great without swaddle during the day....
My older has had a nasty cold. My husband and I are getting it and I took a nap while my kids napped at the same time (elusive double nap!) Ryan sounds a little congested but is snot sucked him and nothing came out. Hope he is ok

Oh and I want to go for walks but it's 14 degrees here. Not happening unless it's over 40 which it hasn't been!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: I was wondering that too, but he doesn't seem wicked hungry... or maybe I'm just not seeing his hunger cues? I have no idea. The first two hours, he seemed totally content. I only nursed him because I figured he was due soon and I was hoping to get a long nap out of him. But he didn't sleep. He was super fussy this last time I nursed him, but I don't know if that is because he's just tired or because he's emptied the boobs and was still hungry. I just don't know!

We did our first walk yesterday and she screamed for the first part of it, then eventually calmed down. Of course as soon as we got close to a group of kids playing she started screaming again.

@winniebee: Boo on the colds, I certainly feel your pain. It's been like that in our house too. C is better (finished her antibiotics today and only has a mild cough lingering), K seems mostly better (very little cough), but I'm still suffering.
Is it spring yet?
honeydew / 7444 posts
@winniebee: I'm only wearing leggings and loose tops. When I go out, it's usually maternity jeans and a loose tank top plus cardigan. Ugh, I actually need to buy more cardigans because he spits up over everything I wear!
Oh, and A also has a cold but nothing seems to come out when I nose Frida him...the only result I get is anger!

It's been in the 70's here, so I took M on a walk Monday in his Moby wrap. Went pretty well. My dad & step mom are here until Saturday, so it's been nice having help again so I can actually clean my house some.
I got our hospital bills the other day. Mine was $1200 something & M's was $426.

G is wide awake in p&p after a 30min nurse
She is content in there, but I feel bad having her lay there,, but maybe she will kick and grunt herself to sleep......LOL
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Hubs got him to sleep!!! And this is first wakeup, so I just got over four hours of sleep!!!
@Freckles: Boo about the cold!
@FaithFertility: If she's content, I'd say just leave jerk there! What did you end up doing?
nectarine / 2631 posts
@Freckles: Emily has a cold too! I have been trying to suck her nose as well and she just gets super mad!! I feel so bad for her though- you can hear how stuffy her nose is!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Ugh she would have given be almost 4 hrs except she got all phlegmy from not getting burped MOTN so I had to get up and let her sleep on my chest...
On another note, never been happier to be stuck home! It's below zero with windchills today!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: well she was falling, asleep but then we well that huge noise the usually means "blow out" came......lol
So we got up...lol but DH rocked her to sleep
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Ugh, it's currently -6 here and we have to go out later today for our LC appointment! Brrrr!
@FaithFertility: haha, I'm all too familiar with that blowout sound!! And I swear it always happens right as they are falling asleep!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@AngelicOne: so jealous of the warm weather! I can't wait until we can get outside and let the toddler burn off some energy. It's SO cold here.
@MamaG: not quite spring yet, but I keep reminding myself that the days are getting longer already I'm just aiming for spring!

For those of us who are having rough days / nights and potentially growth-spurting, I found this posted elsewhere on the boards:
http://nurshable.com/2012/05/27/six-week-growth-spurt/
Made me feel a little better knowing that all this crazy is normal
(I apologize if someone has already posted this here. I'm too tired to double-check).

@Adira: that's awesome! I have a LC appointment this morning too! Ugh, I finally got a 3 hour stretch of sleep and 3.5 hours between feeds (11-2:30)...in the bassinet! But he just woke up 30 minutes ago spitting up/vomiting everywhere and now I'm pacing around our room with him in the ergo. Fun times, fun times.

@cheert16: hope she feels better soon! Have a feeling it isn't a cold but from all spit up. He sounds like a gremlin!
