After a week of great sleep we are regressing. I don't much like the tease. K has broke out of her swaddle the past two nights.

@MamaG: We are regressing as well, I am thinking because of growth spurt....we were getting 4-5 hrs the first stretch....and 3 after....past 2 nights 3-2.5 stretches....last night was 3 at longest with alot of choking on milk...guess my supply is getting the message
G hates the swaddle and would break out all the time...looks like you have a Huidini on your hands!

@BandDmommy: Oh wow! Congrats! *fingers crossed for sticky baby*
M has gotten to where he screams bloody murder right before bedtime and DH can't console him, so I have to (even then it takes a bit for him to calm down).

I know people mean well and want to "help" but it really was tough for me! Btw, the pumping comment was from a dad

Sleep is so bad. I think it's because he just can't get comfortable after eating. Poor little dude. Hopefully gi doc has some suggestions.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: I really hope he can get on a more effective medication! So you don't have to ride it out
My arm is gonna fall off from holding/rocking K for most naps!

I don't want to jinx it, but Micah hasn't spit up the last several days!
pomelo / 5298 posts
K learned the projectile spitup game today. sigh! She's always been a spitter, but it's not been much and I've just considered it normal. But today - twice in one bottle she soaked me. I hope it's a fluke and not some new trend.
We did change her bottles recently and she was doing better with them, until today.

@whenoceansrise: that's awesome!! Jealous!!? Ryan's spit up has calmed down a small amount but he is just so uncomfortable after most feeds. Maybe the dairy is finally working for you guys?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MamaG: Sucks. We are still going strong in the spit up dept.

@winniebee: Man I am so sorry, I feel bad complaining about 3 hr.....
I hope the gi Dr helps you two

@snowjewelz: Even harder when it is your family offering the unwanted advice/help
..lol
nectarine / 2053 posts
@winniebee: I'm trying not to get too excited about it because I'm sure it'll start back up! I actually started eating dairy again because I wasn't noticing a difference!
@MamaG: so sorry! The projectile spit up is the worst!

G has green slime in her poop today? Hmm..can't think of anything that I haven't ate before?
These babes always keep us guessing!

@MamaG: sounds like no fun Are you using swaddle blankets or something else?
@FaithFertility: I hope things get easier after this growth spurt!
@winniebee: I really hope the GI doc can help. Do you have an appointment?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: @FaithFertility: @winniebee: Sorry to hear about the sleep issues you ladies are dealing with. Hopefully things improve soon.
@winniebee: When do you see the GI doc? I hope it's soon!
@MamaG: Yikes! Projectile spitup sounds awful.
Nothing new going on with us. Logan is still congested, but I usually only have to break out the NoseFrida once or twice a night. His sleep is still pretty decent. We have both his two month well visit and his audiology appointment this week.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: K is now congested too! We usually get 4 hours (+/-) for the first stretch; I think she can sleep another 4 but she is always up by 2 or 3 hrs later either phlemy or stuffy nose. We had to the nose frida just now and it of course fully woke her up so now we are busing back to sleep and hopefully she can sleep for at least 2-3 more hours...

@MrsF: I got the referral just now so am making an appt today. I'm also going to see another LC for a second opinion on latch and positioning. Throwing everything I've got into this!

Rough night sleep-wise last nigh . Baby J must've been annoyed that we put him to bed and stayed up to watch the game so he decided to punish us all night. At least knowing the Pats won made it a little easier to take!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: That's too bad the NoseFrida fully wakes her! With Logan, he cries while I'm doing it, but as soon as I'm done and his nose clear, he passes out!
@MrsF: Ugh! Sorry to hear about your rough night! It was an awesome game to watch though!

K is sleeping well, just not as well as last week. She's finally in better spirits and was very chatty with her dad this morning. We had a good Monday morning. Cmon February, let's do this, it's going to be a great month. I'm even considering parents night out!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: yay for the good outlook! I'm kinda nervous about this month - her 2 month shots, then we are going to start going out, then I head back to work, need to finalize childcare situation... Ahh!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: I think it's cuz she was already cranky for a while.. At first I jusy thought she needed to burp or sleep up right for a while but she kept squirming around!
The other bad thing is I almost always have to pick her up to sleep on me in the early morning and she does another 3 hr stretch that way. I don't know what the cause for her discomfort is tho.
pomelo / 5660 posts
@winniebee: that's great news!
Darcy is doing her normal sleep and brennan slept great as well. We all still have a cold though. :(. We had some friends over yesterday and B had so much fun. Our friends have a 3 year old and three month old. So darcy had her first date. They both slept through it though.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: yay for a good Monday! I hope this month is a healthy one for you guys!
I'm looking forward to February because, as far as I'm concerned, the older the baby is the easier things get. I go back to work two weeks from today, though, so I'm nervous about that!
On the bright side - 46 days 'til spring!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
The pediatric gi specialist is schedule non emergency visits for the end of February. Another month of sleep hell at a minimum. I feel like a total failure and can't stop crying today.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I'm sorry for those that are having trouble in the sleep dept too. Hopefully February is a good month for everyone.
nectarine / 2053 posts
@winniebee: so sorry! I do scheduling for orthopedic surgery so we are booked our pretty far but there are ways we can get a patient worked in sooner. Maybe try leaving a message for the nurse explaining your situation? Nurses can always pull some strings to get you seen sooner!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@winniebee: I'm sorry you are feeling it today emotionally. You are not a failure. Even though R isn't sleeping well, he is growing (yah!). And you are still breast feeding, something not to be scoffed at! If you need to have a pity party today, take it. You've deserved it with all you have been through. But if you need a "go get 'em tiger" - pat yourself on the back today, you've done amazing things for R (and T!).
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: oh no! Can you just be a pest and keep asking for earlier? I know his situation is not an emergency but the sleepless situation is! I would just be that squeaky wheel until they can get you in sooner!
And you are doing a GREAT job hanging in there mama

M was absolutely miserable before bed last night. He spit up twice & screamed for about an hour (DH slept through it all ) til I finally managed to calm him down by walking while bouncing him some. After that, he slept great the rest of the night. He has his 2 month appt tomorrow (rescheduled from last week due to an ins issue).
