@winniebee: aww, sorry its been so tough!
After a crappy weekend for sleep Ethan was up till 11 last night but then slept till 4. Of course we were co-sleeping and it seems like this is the only thing that works and dh hates it when I do. Im wondering if its just being on a flat surface vs the RnP? I should probably try his crib now but not sure I'm ready to have him not right next to the bed. I guess I need some consistency before I'm ready to try that.

@AngelicOne: I wonder why he was so upset! But I think I rather have that if it means LO sleeps great!

@winniebee: I'm so sorry you aren't able to get in sooner to see the GI doc! Poor R. And poor you.

Thanks for all the support lately! Everything always seems like such a huge deal under the cloud of no sleep. I called back our pediatrician and asked her to tell GI to see us right away. So she said she would ask them to see us within a week. Hopefully they do....

@winniebee: I can't agree more! Sleep deprivation really does a number to your emotions. My motto is that this too shall pass!
@josina: we co sleep too and I tried putting her next to me in the pnp but gave up bc either way I don't sleep well. I think we might just skip the pnp and go straight to crib later too.

@josina: We cosleep too. It's the only way I can get Micah to sleep! Hoping it won't be too terribly hard when we start putting him in his crib.

@winniebee: I am sorry Hopefully your Pedi can pull a few things for you and R can get in sooner!
I cant imagine no sleep w/ a NB and toddler! You are doing great!!!
Keep us posted, and in the mean time I hope he is getting better on his own!!!!

@winniebee: I'm so glad the pedi said she would call! You've been doing such an amazing job with two kids and no sleep. Even little things can seem overwhelming with no sleep, and these are big things! I hope that you guys get some relief soon

Are y'all cleaning your baby's gums? I haven't been doing this but am wondering if I should be!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@whenoceansrise: haha, nope! Never did with Xander either.
OMG, I have the WORST sore throat. I'm praying Logan doesn't get whatever I have because I have nooooooo idea how he'll be able to nurse when it hurts to swallow like this!

@snowjewelz: @Adira: you ladies just made me feel better! Haha! I had just read something about it and notice Micah has a lot of milk residue in his mouth and thought maybe I should be cleaning that? I'm not sure it'd be so easy though!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@whenoceansrise: we're not either. But I did read in a magazine they actually sell gum wipes, so there must be some people out there who do...probably, dentists?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Ugh, Logan and I kept waking up every hour. I'm dying. He at least nursed okay, so he must not have my sore throat yet.

@whenoceansrise: I actually got out the little rubber finger brush we got in our healthcare kit a few weeks ago... Not happening. The brush is pretty big for his little mouth to begin with and then to get his mouth open too...
So long story short, no.
Finally at ten weeks I got more than four hours of sleep at once! Two nights with a five hour stretch, really hoping this sticks!

@Adira: I hope you feel better and that he does some good napping today!
@josina: very nice!

Getting little sleep + going to work + having to leave my baby is so going to make a long day. On a good note though, chickfila is giving away free coffee for this entire month. I got my iced vanilla coffee this morning

@whenoceansrise: cleaning gums??? I missed that boat......lol
Hope you have a good day!!!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: ugh we had bad sleep too!
Just when I thought she was doing at least that initial 4 hr stretch consistently! She did not sleep more than 3 hrs each time and another 30 mom in those 3 hrs was me trying to put her back to sleep!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: enjoy that coffee! I haven't had coffee really so far but you bet I'm going to start at work. I can't imagine being back at work.. It will get easier! How is Micah with grandma?
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: being back at work is so hard! The days are so long and I miss my baby! I wish that financially we could swing me staying at home... Maybe in the future! Micah seems to be doing fine with my grandma. I'm sure he misses his mama though! It's good to not have to pay for childcare and to know that family is watching him so he is getting lots of attention... But of course nobody can do it better than me
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Oh and I manged to dream and dreamt that I went back to work without any pumping stuff and freaked out (even tho I live 20 min away). Then I dreamt that I was pumping while getting a facial/massage?!

@whenoceansrise: I know! I feel like right now I read her cues the best bc I'm with her all day. I'm the breadwinner at home but DH and I have both been praying for me to be able to stay at home one day.. It would be a miracle! Survey says pastors in the northeast gets paid the least lol!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: most pastor's wives are stay at home moms in my area. Move here! we've been praying too and it'd be a miracle for us too if it happens. Good thing we believe God still does miracles!

@snowjewelz: @whenoceansrise: I will add you ladies to my SAHM prayer!!!!! Yes, God does miracles , I'm holding mine now

<--- mom here with no desire to SAH. My family is better when I work and my girls are cared for elsewhere. My calling is not to be at home. I applaud you ladies that want to do it, or are doing it. But I know that I'm a better mom when I can go to the office for the day.

@MamaG: I think whatever makes the family work and happy!!!!
I just had this conversation with my mom about me not taking G out to mall...etc...
She is a very on the go person, I am a ok hanging at home for now.....she can't undestand.....lol
As long as us as mom's do what we have to and or what makes us happy it is what is best for our family!!!!!
pomelo / 5660 posts
I actually had 0 desire to SAHM. But my son struggled at daycare. I enjoy being a SAHM now but it's definitely not for everyone.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: yes!! It's my desire to serve with my husband full time so I pray it will happen when it's the right time and I believe God will bless us! I think its the area with live in; here way more pastors wives work bc of the high standard of living probably!

@FaithFertility: and she is quite a precious cute little miracle

@MamaG: yes whatever works for you and your family is the best! I think a big part for me is that my job/career never really mattered much and I don't really find satisfaction there at all. It's literally just means to an end.

@BandDmommy: you are gonna have so much fun at home with hopefully 3 kids soon! You are now allow to abandon us when #3 is confirmed!
