@winniebee: That's a good idea. I've been trying to keep track of them, but they generally happen on my walks with the dog, and sometimes it feels like I'm just constantly having BH contractions throughout the walk. But it's hard to know if it's just several long ones, lots of little ones, etc. Oh, and I already have a contraction timer app on my phone, so that when the real ones start, I am ready to start timing
How is everything with the new place?? Hopefully you're able to take it easy.

@theotherstark: it's totally normal to get them the whole time you are exercising! It's going to get more and more uncomfortable! Sometimes on my walk it just feels like one big long cramp! It's going. We haven't hung pictures but are more or less settled with the exception of the baby's room. My son starts school a few times a wk next week so I'm going to get organized then

@winniebee: @theotherstark: when I work out I definitely get BH. When I get them, I slow down or drink a bunch of water.

@winniebee: @BandDmommy: Okay, good - I was like, is it normal for me to basically just have one long BH while I'm walking the dog?! Ha. Glad it's not totally out of the ordinary. When I get home, I always drink some water, sit down, and put my feet up, so I don't think I'm over-doing it or anything.
@winniebee: Oh nice, hopefully that will give you more time to get stuff ready! I feel like we still have so much to purchase/do.

Ordered our glider tonight. Placed orders with Target and Amazon as well this week. Now to receive everything, hem drapes and just get organized.

It's 4:20 and I literally woke up at 4am STARVING... Tried to ignore it, ended up shoving crackers and cheese in my mouth and now I feel better. I really hope this won't be a regular thing! Good thing tomorrow is Sat!

@MamaG: nice what did you end up getting?

@winniebee: ugh. :(. I'm letting DH sleep. He has to go to work, so figured I'd take one for the team.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: that's nice of you. DHs alarm went off at 530 anyhow since he has to work as well. And even though T did not nap yesterday he was up at 630. Might be a 2 coffee day...

@winniebee: ugh... B has been taking 3 hour naps so it (kinda) makes up for the 6 am wake up call... Now if only I didn't wake up 3 times a night to pee

@FaithFertility: @BandDmommy: @winniebee: at least it's a rainy Sat here so there really isn't much going on for me... Hope you ladies have a nice day dispite the lack of sleep!

So I think I might be experiencing sciatic nerve pain, though I'm not entirely sure, since I've never experienced it before. It's this shooting pain/soreness that I feel basically above my left butt cheek. I have no pain on my right side. Anyone else experience this? Is this sciatic nerve pain?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: yeah pretty sure that's it. I had it from 19-22 weeks but then it went away out of the blue!

@winniebee: We ended up getting a Best chair from BBB. We had a gift card from my co-workers that covered about 1/2 the cost of the chair. Yah!

@BandDmommy: Yay! So happy for you!
Ugh so my daily routine now is wake up around 3-4am to pee, and then trying to fall back asleep for at least an hour
I have a body pillow, a pregnancy pillow & a wedge thing but I can't seem to find a comfortable position!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Sounds like my daily routine! I always wake up around 4:30 to pee when my alarm is going to go off at 5:30. So annoying!! And I have no advice on how to sleep comfortably - I struggle with this too.

I'm really struggling to stay comfortable as well. My heartburn is AWFUL at night as well. Double whammies...

@BandDmommy: Yay! Happy for you!!

I commented to my OB at my last appointment about my issues sleeping. For me it's particularly my hips, they get sore and I really just want to sleep on my back. She had suggested taking Tylenol before bed. And possibly adding a Benadryl to the mix.
Fortunately the past couple of days have been better and I really hate to be medicating this late in the game.

Sleep. Oh sleep. I've been taking half a unisom about 30 mins before bed the past month or so. It does help me fall asleep and get back to sleep after pee breaks. But then there are nights like last night when my husband gets paged 3x overnight and I wake at 5 to pee and can't fall asleep. Thank god it's almost nap time for my son!

I can usually get comfy pretty easily at night... but I am constantly waking up... either to pee (3-5x/night), get a drink of water (same), or lately really bad heartburn or acid reflux. I am constantly waking up choking on stomach acid, awful. My dr. told me I could take Pepto but I've been trying to tough it out.

Had my baby shower on Saturday with a 'woodland' theme. Was very cute and got so much stuff, my car was packed full on the way home. A lot of baby clothes, some adorable shoes, a little North face jacket. I was able to purchase our stroller/car seat with a gift card/coupon combo from Target (so only costing me $50) and exchanged a couple duplicates to get the crib mattress, so all the big things are taken care of.
Now to just get everything put together and the room done! We're still waiting on renovations so we can clear out the baby room again!

@josina: awww exciting!!!!!

@winniebee: same issue here. DHs job makes sleep so rough. He worked all weekend and has been working late and waking me when he gets home.
@josina: yay!!!

@BandDmommy: Congrats on passing your test!!
@Adira: Hope the pain goes away quickly for you! I had sciatic nerve issues with my first where my whole left leg would get weak and achy after sitting down for longer than 10 minutes. It is not fun!
@MamaG: I have the same problem with my hips, followed by my leg(s) falling asleep, which makes it much harder to get back to sleep. The only thing that has saved me is the memory foam mattress pad we have.
@josina: Exciting! I would love to be nearly done getting everything together!

I realized yesterday that this week I am in the single digits for how many weeks we have left until this baby is kicked out (I will be induced around 39 weeks). Ack! As much as being pregnant is becoming less and less comfortable, I wouldn't mind him staying in a bit longer at this point
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: That sounds like the pain I was having (not entirely sure if it was sciatic or sacro-iliac joint) which seems to have gone away as quickly as it appeared. I hope yours does too!
