@BandDmommy: Aww!! Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your little lady stays in there cooking for a while!!
@winniebee: Ha. My office is right next door to our floor's "candy drawer." So hard to resist! Stupid Halloween!!

@magnolia: You look great!! I love that shirt too.
Has anyone else gotten the dTap vaccine? I just got it today at my OB's office.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: I got mine at my last OB appointment. I wasn't sure if I would need it since I had it with M, but they said they do it with each pregnancy because you can pass on some antibodies to the baby.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: I feel like I didn't get it last time with Xander until after he was born! Though maybe I'm just remembering it wrong. Either way, hopefully I do pass on antibodies to help protect this baby!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: I actually didn't get mine until after M was born, now that you mention it! She came early so they ended up giving it to me on the postpartum unit, so I guess she didn't get those antibodies either.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: @MrsF: I got mine during pregnancy last time and will get it at my 32w visit this time too.

Apprently someone is hungry today! 9:21 a.m. and I've already had oatmeal w peanutbutter, 2eggs scrambled , and a toaster struddle....... now drinking a carnation breakfast shake

@Adira: got mine last visit- that shot hurt my arm so bad! Got my flu shot yesterday at my appointment!
@FaithFertility: All of that sounds delish! I am at work (only for 3 hours today) and HUNGRY!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@cheert16: The shakes are my weakness I get the sugar free ones, but still ohhhh so good I could drink one with every meal. .....lol
nectarine / 2631 posts
@FaithFertility: I haven't had one since I was a teenager.... I am making a grocery list right now (being productive at work right?) and will be adding that to my list!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: I had to resist the toaster strudels at the store this weekend!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: hahhaha I would have too, but DH has such a nacknfor them
honeydew / 7283 posts
@cheert16: the pertussis vaccine really hurt me too! The flu shot was no big deal in comparison.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@cheert16: @MrsF: Wow, really?? The dTap didn't hurt me at all, but the flu shot made my arm sooooooo ridiculously sore!!!
The worst though is the rhogam shot - that BURNS going in!
nectarine / 2631 posts
@Adira: weird! Rhogam did burn going in- but my tdap hurt way more!!!
persimmon / 1168 posts
@Adira: I got my rhogam at 28 weeks. Do you remember if you had to get another after the baby is born? Or do they determine the baby's blood type right after birth?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@magnolia: I did have to get another after Xander was born, but I'm not sure if it was due to his blood type (RH-positive) or just as a precaution for future pregnancies since I'm RH-negative. I would just bank of having to get it again though.
nectarine / 2631 posts
@magnolia: I didn't have to get another one after my LO was born because he had a (-) blood type!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Ugh girls, I'm officially heavier than my pregnancy high with Xander.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@magnolia: Looking good mama! I def feel achy too; I had a few shooting pains here & there too. Home stretch!
@Adira: My OB told me to get it along w/ the flu shot (separate days). I still need to actually go get it! I am determined to do it this week as ppl are sick all over the place!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@Adira: is limiting the carbs like your midwife suggested not helping? I don't eat fabulous but I exercise for about 1.5 hour a day and it's really helping me not gain a ton of weight.
pomelo / 5660 posts
@winniebee: I've been eating brownie sundaes, but my bday is tomorrow, so I feel somewhat justified.
I have maternity pics tomorrow!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: I've failed at limiting carbs, haha. Probably if I did that, it would definitely help!! And OMG - who has time to exercise 1.5 hours a day???? This is why I wish I had a treadmill - could totally workout while watching my show at night, instead of just sitting on the couch like a lazy slacker!
And yay for maternity pics!! You'll post some for us to see, right?? Or at least on IG?
pomelo / 5660 posts
@Adira: we have elliptical at home. it will be a necessity when D is born. You can't take kids to the gym until 6 months.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: Definitely having something at home would make it easier. I need to get something like that. Currently the only real exercise I've been getting is just our daily walks around the cul-de-sac with Xander after dinner, but I can't say that it's all that strenuous. I really just need to eat better, but it's soooooo hard! And there's Halloween candy now!
pomelo / 5298 posts
It felt like a weekend without much progress, but DH did re-assemble the crib yesterday and I threw a sheet on the mattress and really miss having a crib sheet with the raised up mattress. Alas, I'm not spending the money on it.
We also sold our old rocker and it's officially one less thing sitting in my way.
I framed all the art for K's room, but am not ready to hang it yet. I'm not sure where exactly the crib will be until we get our new glider.
five.more.weeks!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@Adira: it's definitely tempting if it's nearby. I try not to buy candy because I have no self control.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: Oh my gosh, I can't believe you only have 5 more weeks!!!!
I just realized I need another diaper pail for the baby's room. Gahh, more stuff I need to buy.
