@magnolia: The look on your face?!

@BandDmommy: I hope you get better rest!

@FaithFertility: I am sure you AND your baby girl are fine! I feel like all bets are off and everything kinda goes nuts at the end... lol!

Man, I turned 30 today and I can't believe I will be a mom soon Kinda sucks to be 35 weeks pregnant on your birthday... I almost don't want to do anything, but DH insists to go out to dinner and now that I think about it, I should go out and have dinner while I still can!

@snowjewelz: Ahhhh, happy birthday!!!! I went out to breakfast when I was pregnant on my birthday. But when I turned 30, Xander had the norovirus (which he then gave to me), so there was a lot less celebrating. So go out if you feel good!

@FaithFertility: That's crazy how far ahead you're measuring! Was that just based on fundal height? Hopefully baby girl is just a bit big

@Adira: Seriously, your life is not your own once LOs are here! I feel much better now that my cold is gone so I will suck it up and go out and I WILL enjoy it! It is so much easier to just say be lazy and stay in but who knows when the next time is that I'll be able to have a nice dinner, just the 2 of us!

@snowjewelz: It's so true! Maybe you can get a virgin cocktail when you go out too! Which now makes me want to go out... someone want to come babysit Xander??

Had an ultrasound today of baby boy he's doing great - didn't check growth but meausred fluids and watched him breath and measured cord flow etc. Managing to gain 2 lbs a week despite baby being small!

    33+4

@BandDmommy: Oh yay!! That will be fun!! My mom is actually coming over to babysit on Saturday and we're going to the movies, but it's not a date night because my brother is coming with us!

Does anyone think their LO has dropped?

  14. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@BandDmommy: Oh definitely... I just measure that by how often she's crushing my bladder!

  15. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@snowjewelz: mine likes to sit to one side of my stomach. My stomach looks so funny because it's like she's sticking her butt out. Sassy already.

  16. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@BandDmommy: I don't think mine has. He's always been low though, sitting on my bladder, so I'm not sure I'll really notice... I didn't really notice anything when I was pregnant with Xander except that the last week of my pregnancy, I felt this constant pressure. Not sure if that's due to him "dropping" or something to do with getting ready for labor.

  17. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@BandDmommy: Yes! Sometimes my whole bump is totally uneven/lopsided, and I have no idea what she is sticking where! It's so weird to watch!

  18. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@Adira: I can't tell if I've dropped or not either. I don't feel pressure on my cervix so I don't think she's dropped.

  19. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@BandDmommy: Yeah, I don't feel pressure on my cervix either, although last time I didn't either - I had back labor and all the pressure I felt was located in my back/butt, haha. I'm kind of expecting more of the same...

  20. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@winniebee: You look so awesome! And I'm glad you had a good appointment and baby boy looks good

@BandDmommy: I was just thinking today that he might have dropped. I can't really tell, though, since I see my belly every day? It always looks the same to me Ha. Not feeling too much pressure or anything, though, so maybe he hasn't.

And my little dude totally likes to push off with his feet on one side, which forces his little butt/back to bulge out and make my belly all lopsided. So I have a little nubbin constantly on my right side, and a big butt bulge on my left. Ha.

  21. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

Count me in for the lopsided belly! This baby likes to hang out on my right side and his butt is constantly pushing out in that direction, making my belly look ridiculous!

    @snowjewelz: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

    @winniebee: Yay! You look awesome!

I can't tell if baby has dropped yet- I don't think he has because I'm still having problems with the difficulty breathing.

@theotherstark: Yes just fundal height !I've always been a week ahead, but 2 1/2 ......wow... lol

  24. AngelicOne

@FaithFertility: My OB keeps telling me I'm measuring ahead with fundal height too (but not by how much) until yesterday, then she decided that it isn't too far off. lol

I did my GBS test yesterday & she did a cervical check. I don't think I like those. It's made me way too crampy feeling and all I want to do is be lazy.

  25. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

My baby has always felt really low so I don't know if I've dropped. Hard to tell!

  26. MamaG

    pomelo / 5298 posts

I've tested positive for GBS this go round. Hopefully it will be a non-issue since I fully intend not to go into labor before my C-section. My OB keeps reminding me that I'm not in control and this baby may have other plans. But fortunately, I'm not making any progress (yet!). Still only 1cm dilated and head is still relatively high.

My heartburn has been awful during the middle of the night and she's recommended Pepcid, which should be all I need to get me through the next 12 days.

  27. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@MamaG: I tested pos last time and it was honestly no big deal. Getting so close!

  28. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MamaG: Sorry to hear about the GPS, but hopefully it's a non-issue for you. And I totally hear you about heartburn at night. I've been waking up to it and having to go pop a Tums in order to fall back asleep. So annoying.

  29. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@FaithFertility: Hmm. Well I have heard the fundal height can be off a little bit, so it's possible it's just that, too. At least you'll maybe get another ultrasound?

@AngelicOne: I have my GBS swab next week. They didn't say if they're doing a cervical check, although I imagine if they're already down in that area, they probably will?? Don't know how that works. Sorry it made you crampy, though

@winniebee: I'm the same way; he's always been lower so it's hard to tell. I just took a picture, though, and he looks the same to me, so I am thinking he probably didn't "drop."

@MamaG: Sounds like it shouldn't be an issue with the c-section, but even if things happened and you went into labor naturally, I think all they do is hook you up to antibiotics. Doesn't sound like it's usually a big deal. I can't believe you're getting so close!!

  30. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@MamaG: @Adira: Yuck, I'm so sorry about the heartburn That really stinks. I feel so lucky that (*knock on wood!!*) I haven't had any heartburn. It sounds horrible!

This past weekend, my husband put together the dresser for the baby. Here's what we are calling our little "baby area," which is just part of our living room. Ha. It's a tight squeeze in a one-bedroom!

@whenoceansrise: @Adira: Aww, thank you! I actually pulled the prints from the calendar last year They're all cities that my husband and I have been to since we've gotten married, so I love looking at them every day! Fun memories.

  37. Adira

@cheert16: To stop eating carbs after 2:00, I'd have to cut out the Halloween candy I've been eating at 3:30 and 8:30... not happening!

@theotherstark: So cute! Is that blue thing a changing pad? I like it!!

Had a checkup today! Waited an hour and a half for my OB.... I was starving since I hadn't eaten before I went! My Ob was annoyed that the midwife told me last time to lose weight! He was kinda pissed acutally! (Uhoh!! I did lose 8 lbs though!!) I have an appointment tomorrow with anesthesiology to make sure if I get an epi this time it will work (unlike last time when they had to do it a few times.... that sucked!) Also DH and I are having a date night tomorrow night (B is going to have a sleepover with my parents) so that is exciting! Cant believe its getting so close!!! AHHHHH~

  39. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@cheert16: Ummm.... AMAZING weight loss while pregnant! CRAZY! How'd you do it?? And so glad your OB was on your side and that previous doctor was the crazy one! Have fun on your date night tomorrow!! What are you doing?

  40. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@cheert16: Yep, it's a changing pad! Since we don't have a ton of storage space, I opted for this one that can just be wiped clean rather than having to buy multiple covers for the more traditional changing pad. We'll see how it works out

I can't believe you lost 8 lbs! Wow. I'm glad your doctor was mad that your mw told you to lose weight, though! I still can't believe that.
