@Adira: I'm feeling ready too! Glad you're feeling on top of things.

@snowjewelz: I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable and in pain Ugh. Just remember it's just baby girl getting nice and big and strong!

@josina: We got the crib set up last night too! Eeek. It's all starting to seem very real I haven't had a cervical check yet, and none of my OBs/midwives have mentioned it at all. I guess I probably won't have one for another week or two? I don't really care not knowing - probably better that way!

@whenoceansrise: I can't believe people are getting snow so early! It's been cold here and supposed to be getting even colder, so I'm kind of hoping we get a little snow soon

@winniebee: I know - it's exciting! I kind of like not knowing, but with the idea that it could be "any day"

Just called my dr's office because I wanted to know - my GBS test was negative! Not a huge deal, I know, but still

I got a cervix check but it didn't really tell me anything. I was a 1 when I was measured last Monday. I was a loose 1 when my water broke Thursday night. I was expecting to go into labor soon mostly because I was so off and I could literally see my stomach falling thursday.

D update: had first pediatrician appt. She is 25% weight, 50% height and 75% head. She's gained weight which is awesome(most lose after birth). But not shocking since she's a boobaholic.

@BandDmommy: That's exactly what a few moms said... That you are getting increasing uncomfortable and you just reach a point where you really feel off and can't take it anymore and most likely you're ready then!

    @BandDmommy: Aww! How's BF going?

  8. BandDmommy

@snowjewelz: good! She's a natural. Actually pumping now because too much milk.

@winniebee: Thanks for copying that! I didn't realize Mrs. Lilac was being induced today!! Thinking of her!!

@BandDmommy: That's awesome about D's appointment!!! So impressed that she's gained weight already - that's awesome! How's nursing going? Is it painful for you?

@winniebee: Thanks so much for pasting that in! The thread is moving too quickly I was just thinking earlier that I should re-post.

I'm wondering if we should start a list for those babies already born? Or are we okay with just the EDD list?

@BandDmommy: So great that she's gaining already!!

  11. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@theotherstark: I was thinking we should do a list too! And we can have their names (if people don't mind sharing them). That way we can list their birthdays instead of just their EDD.

@Mrs.Lilac: Hope everything goes well today!

Speaking of names our boy will no longer be Levi, we did a 180 last month. We now have a short list: Kipton, Kinnick, and Ethan, but pretty sure he will be Ethan Michael, although we'll make the final decision when we get to see him!

@josina: Oooh, I like Ethan Michael too!!

@FaithFertility: I think the fact that I've gotten so much done earlier than last time around is making me impatient too. I'm just about totally ready, so I don't want to wait another 4 weeks!!

And here's my latest bump pick: 36 weeks tomorrow so this is 35w6d:

DH goes back to work tomorrow. Just me and my baby girl. Think we are going Christmas shopping. Like to get everything done for Xmas before B returns.

  24. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@BandDmommy: Oh wow, that seems soon. How long was he off for? I'm sorry! Do you find adapting to baby #2 easier than the first time around? How are you feeling emotionally? I was such a wreck for weeks after Xander was born...

  25. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@Adira: he has a month but work doesn't seem to understand that. That's main reasonB went with my parents. DH is hopefully taking his paternity leave in December when B is back. Taking care of D is easy but I did have emotional breakdown when B left. Feeling better now.

  29. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@BandDmommy: Well that's good that he'll be able to take time off later, especially when B is back! You'll need all hands on deck with two kids, especially in the beginning!!

  30. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@FaithFertility: oh yes. feels like knives stabbing my cervix when i walk. good times!

@BandDmommy: I'm glad nursing is going well! Sorry your husband has to go back to work so soon. We will be in a similar situation with my husband. He may take a week off but maybe not right when the baby is born because of work. B is in good hands with your parents. I can imagine that caring for a newborn seems so much easier this time around....esp. compared to a rowdy toddler!

    @Adira: You look great!

My back is now killing and my right knee is sore. The back I get. The knee? Ugh. I've been going to the guest room every night at some point to make myself a better sleep nest. It feels silly to be complaining about this stuff and....I don't know....a little insensitive to be talking about lighthearted things given what happened with baby Ava. I am thinking about Sandy and her family a lot. But I'm excited to meet the other December babies (some, SOON!) and know we are all hoping for safe deliveries and healthy babies.

@BandDmommy: Sounds like a great appointment for you and D!

@Adira: you look great! congrats on 36w tomorrow

@FaithFertility: Definitely. Baby is VERY low and I keep saying it feels like he's trying to claw his way out. Ouch.

  32. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@FaithFertility: @winniebee: I wonder if I'm confusing cervix stabbing with bladder stabbing... I definitely feel something whenever I get up and walk, but I always think it's just more pressure on my bladder!

@winniebee: I know what you mean. My back has started to hurt too, but it just seems so trivial with what Sandy and her family are going through.

  33. MrsF

    honeydew / 7283 posts

I had an ultrasound and NST today (38 weeks exactly). Both were good, weight estimated at 6lbs 7oz so less of a worry of pre-e showing a growth restriction, which they were a little concerned about two weeks ago.

I feel kind of not great tonight, which is making me nuts trying to figure out if it's very early labor, some bad pre-e sign or just the fact that I'm 38 weeks pregnant and cranky

  34. MrsF

    honeydew / 7283 posts

@Adira: for me, the cervix stabbing feels just like a cervical check or a pap smear but from the inside - very sharp feeling rather than pressure. Also it's sort of shocking because it comes out of nowhere when I'm not expecting it.

@winniebee: Totally agree - I'm so heartbroken for Sandy and Ava and it really puts things in perspective.

  35. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsF: Thanks! I think what I'm experiencing is mostly bladder stabbing then, haha. It makes me have to pee!!

Glad to hear your scan went well today! Bummer about not feeling well though. Maybe just end of the road normal crappiness?

  36. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Adira: Its so low like the entrance to my vagina. Like what @MrsF: described - a cervix exam but from the inside. Super sharp pain!

@MrsF: Glad things went well! So at this point just waiting for labor on your own?

  37. MrsF

    honeydew / 7283 posts

@winniebee: I have an OB appointment on Wednesday and we'll schedule an induction for early next week (she didn't want to let me go past 39). Unless, of course, something escalates with the pre-e or I go into labor on my own.
