@FaithFertility: Awww, blame those pregnancy hormones! Thank you! It was a big hit. Our pastor even asked us our permission for him to play it sunday for the fathers day service!

OMG, one of the women at work just asked me when I'm due!!!! I'm never wearing this shirt again!!!

@FaithFertility: You will feel better! I'll take indigestion over nausea!

@Adira: There are def some clothes that make me look much bigger/smaller... I don't even care anymore lol

  9. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@snowjewelz: I only care because I haven't told my team at work yet!!! Now I'm worried she'll be talking about me and my team will find out from someone else!

  10. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Adira: You are pretty much almost there right?! Maybe you should pull her aside or email and say it's not public knowledge yet?

  11. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@snowjewelz: I did tell her. When she asked me, I immediately whispered and said that I hadn't told anyone at work yet. Her response was to eyeball my stomach and say "Well, you'd better get on that."

Guess I'm telling my coworkers a week earlier than I planned!

  12. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Adira: Oh no! lol. Yeah, this telling people time-line was nothing like I thought, since my policy was that I won't lie if people ask and people had been asking as early as like 6 wks! I think you'll be fine!!

  13. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@snowjewelz: I've been lucky up until now in that no one has asked me (though I've gotten some eyeballs at the stomach) until now! Oh well!

I won't know until August if this baby is a boy or girl. Why does that feel forever away!?

  15. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@whenoceansrise: Same here! I want to know NOW!

  16. whenoceansrise

@Adira: I can't buy clothes, decorate a nursery, or pick out a name yet. ahhh

  17. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@whenoceansrise: Well, you could buy gender neutral stuff, haha. And pick two names! That's what we did - we had a girl and boy name picked out last time around until we found out.

  18. whenoceansrise

    nectarine / 2053 posts

@Adira: I am finding it rather difficult to find cute gender neutral stuff. Plus, my mom has already bought everything she could find in gender neutral. I am having a rough time finding names that I love so I'm not researching anymore until I know if it's a boy or a girl. Figure if we have it narrowed down to that, maybe it'll be less frustrating.

@whenoceansrise: I definitely agree it's hard to find cute gender neutral stuff! Especially if you don't really want yellow or green stuff. My favorite gender neutral items (and I had VERY few) were white and grey. Something like this, but they are few and far between!

@Adira: That is so cute! I haven't even found anything like that!

@whenoceansrise: This particular outfit is from Kohl's: http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1736181/carters-giraffe-convertible-sleeper-gown-set-baby.jsp And they have other gender neutral stuff, but this is similar to one of my favorite outfit I got for Xander (which had elephants because that was my theme for him).

@whenoceansrise: Of course, now I might buy these things so if you do too, our babies will be matching.

@Adira: awww, how cute! I love soft colors on babies.

  26. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@littlek: Me too!!! I just wish there were more truly neutral outfits (because no matter how much you tell me yellow and green are neutral, I'm just not buying it)!

@whenoceansrise: I won't find out until end of July/ early August, either

  28. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Adira: oh well you are in the second tri, no harm in telling people now. my hairdresser asked me when I was due last week. So, yeah.

  29. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@winniebee: I'm 13 weeks - when does the second trimester technically start? BabyCenter is telling me 14 weeks...?

    ETA: @cheert16: you're 13w3d.

  30. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Adira: pretty sure it's 13 weeks and a few days. if you divide 40 weeks into thirds....

  31. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@winniebee: That's true! I just don't want to tell work people before our family, which we're telling this weekend!

  32. whenoceansrise

    nectarine / 2053 posts

    @Adira: I don't mind matching babies!
@winniebee: I'm estimated that we'll probably find out on August 7th because I'll be 20 weeks that week and my doctor does the scans on thursdays soooo.. let the countdown begin.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to do some sort of gender reveal though. I'm not big on gender reveal parties, so we won't do that. Maybe another cute video!

@whenoceansrise: I'm not big on gender reveal parties either. The video idea sounds cute.

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@whenoceansrise: I don't know if mine does them at 18 or 20 weeks (will find out tomorrow). Buttt I move on August 1 and basically am going to demand the u/s before I leave town (since we are moving cross country, etc) and so I'm guessing they will do mine 7/31 when I will be 19.5 weeks. Or maybe the week before on 7/24 if they do them at 18 weeks. (the practice here also does them on Thursdays).

  35. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

If I do social media announcement, I think I might as well wait till I find out the gender, since I still don't even know if I want to do it and don't know how I want to do it!

  36. whenoceansrise

    nectarine / 2053 posts

@littlek: They are just awkward to me!
@winniebee: Hoping they will do it at 18 weeks for you!
@snowjewelz: Do you know about when you will find out the gender?

  37. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@whenoceansrise: Well, I have an appt next Wed so I do plan to ask the tech if she can see. The my next appt is just after 19 wks so I'll ask then too. That's as far as my appts go so I don't know if they'll tell me to schedule another one just to confirm gender at/after 20 wks?!

I can't believe we went from going crazy from TTC to now waiting to find out the gender of our babies What a journey! And I wish I lived close to you; I'd have to ask your DH to make us a video. So talented!

    nectarine / 2053 posts

@snowjewelz: That'd be so cool if you lived closer to me! It makes me feel in good company being on this journey with so many incredible ladies. Maybe one day we'll visit NY, who knows!

OMG, this shirt seriously sucks. I just picked up Xander from daycare and one of his teachers asked if I was pregnant!!! This time I answered with "I have no news to share at this time." But they'll know next week when I come clean!

I am so thankful no one asked before I was ready to share the news. Although, I was a little surprised when C's teacher asked if what C had told them was true. This is the problem with having a very verbal child and telling them the truth early Fortunately that was after my 10 week appt where I was comfortable sharing the news beyond family.
