@Adira: I know one person in particular. The dad had a high stress, high powered job but he loved to paint. He painted a mural in his daughter to be's nursery of the disney princesses...only to have to repaint b/c surprise...it was a boy!

Luckily I had some idea that any guess on the sex at that point was just a guess. We didn't even tell anyone!

@genarator: Oh my gosh, haha! That's so sweet that he did that, but what a pain!!! Guess people should just wait until the anatomy scan to be sure before doing something like that!

@Adira: That was AFTER the anatomy scan. They totally botched it. Happened to four people I know. Crazy!

We are still trying to decide if we'll tell people after we find out the sex (hopefully!!) at the anatomy scan. Would it be totally weird if we found out and didn't tell people?

@theotherstark: We were so freaked out by our first experience that we didn't even tell anyone after the anatomy scan, but I knew that I would have another u/s a month later and we could tell people then. You can do whatever you want to do!

We didn't find out the sex with our first child and I honestly loved the surprise. We decided to find out this time to prepare an actual nursery this go around. So if anyone is on fence about being team green...I highly recommend it!

My mom decided to start buying a few outfits while we were in SC visiting, so I have a small stock pile of gender neutral things that she just had to buy.

@generator: Congratulations! Sisters are so much fun!
I took the Harmony test on Monday and they said I should receive the results in about two weeks. They asked if I wanted to find out the gender over the phone or wait for my next appointment (4 weeks). I opted for the phone but realized that means I'll probably be the one to tell DH. I'll have to come with something cute that can be done in a day!

@winniebee: That's a good idea. I've been struggling with getting the news before DH (and probably while I'm at work). It just feels like something we should learn together. I think it would be really painful to have the voicemail for a part of the day and not listen to it.

!!Even if the tech made a mistake (and she seemed very confident) it's fine with us. With the losses we have had I just want a healthy baby. And everyone keeps telling me it's looking that way!!

@MamaG: That's exactly what I did so we could find out together! I was worried about my strength to not listen early but I did it! It did help that they didn't call until 3:30pm and my husband gets home at 5:40pm, so I only had to wait a couple of hours!

@whenoceansrise: I pretty much just eat all day long! Today I've already had a bagel, brownies (as my mid-morning snack), a tuna wrap, more brownies, and some watermelon! And it's only 2:30 here.

@whenoceansrise: yahi pretty much eat all day. It's been this way since my bfp and I was like this with my son too! Starving all day. I am shocked that I have only gained 2 lbs.

@whenoceansrise: I have essentially adopted a hobbit eating schedule - breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, second lunch, etc. Ha.
So, yes. Although it's sad, because I'm constantly hungry but nothing ever really sounds that great.

Hmm, I have lost my apatite since first trimester. Come dinner, I am just not fussed about eating and could skip it and just go to bed but I force myself to eat. It got me worried as everyone keeps asking me if I'm starving or need some food all the time! Oh well, I guess we are all different! I need to buck up my ideas and start eating more healthily though. I am in love with fries and wedges right now...
I can't wait to find out gender for sure. After thinking id be team green, now I just want to know if their guess at my scan was correct or not.
Excited to go shopping this weekend with my sister who is visiting. I'm going to buy my first outfit I think! Yay

12+1 weeks today, and I was able to eat eggs for the first time in 7 weeks! I made them egg-in-a-hole style, and they were sooooo good. I'm hoping this means I'm turning a corner with my very inconvenient aversions.
