With so many people finding out the sex now (including my brother whose wife is due a month ahead of me...) I'm suddenly dying to know the sex of our baby!

I am redoing my test on Mon so should know by the end of the month what I'm having....or just wait a week later for my gender U/S. lol

We had the Sequential screening today, had a blood draw, the results will come back in 3 - 5... business days I am sure. So maybe a week from today we should know. The U/S was great though, the tech said it was a great start, that the baby looked very healthy and all the measurements were right where they should be. It was so fun to see the little baby be so squirmy, when she had poked around for awhile getting all the measurements the baby turned its back to us. Hehe! Sounds about right.

So we are one of those weird team green couples, we did it with LO and are planning on doing it with this one as well. But I got a feeling during the ultrasound that I didn't get with #1, I really think its a boy! With #1 I didn't have a hunch one way or the other. With this pregnancy I thought for sure we were going to have another girl because so far my pregnancy has been pretty much identical to my first... until the U/S today and now I just have this hunch that its a boy! I guess we will see! We will of course be thrilled either way.

@Brawly: I love being team green! I get the appeal of finding out the sex, too, but it was so much fun to be surprised at delivery.

@allison: Wasn't it! I have to admit part of me wants to find out this time... but I just cant give up having my husband announce the sex to me. It was so sweet and exciting! I am a planner, I plan EVERYTHING and I just feel like this is a really great way to let go a little. Have a little less control, its awesome really. But hey, I don't have to tell you. So exciting!

All these gender reveals are def getting me so anxious! I REALLY hope they can see it next week and be pretty sure. I shall continue to tell it to be good and show itself to the world, lol

My first appt is next Friday, when we will (hopefully...) hear baby's heartbeat for the first time! So excited. Anyway, we're planning to call my in-laws after the appt to announce the pregnancy to them. I'm thinking to do it in a nonchalant way, like, "Have you guys started planning your Christmas trip to Denver? Because you know, with the baby due then, we won't be able to travel".

What do you think? Lame? Funny?

@winniebee: We're not there yet! Moving in a couple months. But that's cool!

ETA: You should come up after we have the babies, and go out for sushi with me. I've been drooling over Sushi Den IG tags all day.

@allison: haha that is cute! That's basically how we told my auntie - she was pestering us about going out to CA for Thanksgiving and we told her that we couldn't because we had already started cooking a little turkey of our own

@Brawly: great pic!! Will be interesting to see if your hunch is right!! I actually had a little hunch that we might have a little boy in there, too. We will see!!

    @Brawly: yay for a great u/s!!!

@littlek: I'm just so excited for you!!! She is going to be the best dressed little girl!

@winniebee: i want to know whether it's boy/girl soooo bad! I'm just looking at the bins of clothes and wondering if we're getting rid of all of it or if we're going to reuse everything. I just want to know!

@sandy: do you have a feeling one way or the other? Have strong girl vibes for this one!

@magnolia: I have none! DH says boy. What about you?

  27. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

@winniebee: no strong feeling but if I had to guess I am going to say boy bc things have just been so different this pregnancy. The one thing that makes me doubt it's a boy is LO says she's getting a baby sister.

@snowjewelz: well it's interesting you say that because my SO convinced me it was a girl, although I always thought I would have a boy first because all the women in my family have boys first. (I know this is total chance/not based on the mom, but it seems like a trend...) And I was right!!

Is anyone having cramping? I'm 15w5d and having very mild menstrual-like cramping the past two days. I'm sure it's nothing, but it's a little nerve-wracking

@MrsF: I'm just shy of 13 weeks and still occasionally have mild cramps. Maybe once a week?

@winniebee: might be ligaments stretching my book says between 12-20 weeks your uterus almost triples!

@MrsF: @winniebee: I've had a few strange, slightly painful twinges here and there. It always makes me nervous. But I, too, am sure it's nothing.
