I'm glad to everyone (family wise) now knows it's a boy so they'll stop asking everyday if we know yet. Now on to the 'do you have a name' questions. lol

Second time moms anyone not felt movement yet? I'm 15w tomorrow and thought I felt a few flutters but can't be sure! Last time I had an anterior placenta and felt movement at 20w. This time it's posterior. I'm not worried or anything just excited to feel this bean!

@winniebee: Oooh, I was going to ask this question and forgot, so glad you asked! I'm 16 weeks yesterday and I THOUGHT maybe I felt something, but I'm not sure. I have an anterior placenta again though, so I'm not expecting to feel anything for another few weeks!

@winniebee: It was during week 16 that I really started to be certain about the movement. This week (17), it's more pronounced but not something my DH can feel yet. You're almost there

@winniebee: @Adira: @MamaG: last time I felt consistent fluttering at week 16...every night after my bath/shower I would put lotion on my belly and she would be fluttering all around. I'm 17 weeks + 3 days and no consistent movement sometimes I feel a random ache in my lower pelvic area but nothing consistent

@winniebee: I've felt flutters off and on but yesterday DH was talking to my belly and he was able to feel a distinct movement.

I've been wondering about movement. Il be 17 weeks on Monday and I haven't felt anything. My placenta is at the back so I was hoping to start feeling things this week but nope

@MAMAG My next appt. is moved up to July 11th and I will find out the gender then.

I have definitely been feeling movement since about 16-1/2 weeks. This baby is a wiggly one! Love it!
I am super small even with the baby bump so maybe that makes it easier for me to feel baby moving? A friend of mine is one week behind me (which is super cool) and hasn't felt anything yet on her 2nd.

@magnolia: We won't be doing a registry either this time around. But there are a few things that we do need/want that we will be shopping for as they go on sale.

Does anyone have any input on a dual camera monitor? We currently have a summer infant monitor that works fine, but I'm not sure we could get a second camera for it as it's 3 years old.

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@josina: yeah that's pretty early for #1! I'm small as well so hoping that translates into early movement this time

@MamaG: we have a Foscam, and we really like it! They're so afforable, and we haven't had any problems with connectivity. Though, we do have a very small house -- I've heard that some people have signal issues sometimes. Might be worth checking into, though. You can have two cameras (or more!), and see the feeds on your computer/smartphone/tablet.

Registries are not really a thing in England. Neither are baby showers really so it will be up to me and hubby to buy everything. People tend to come with a gift but it's usually a little outfit. My sisters have given me so many clothes that I won't need anything so I'm going to tell people no presents because otherwise I will end up with too many clothes! Luckily, my mum said she will buy my pram (stroller) so that's one less thing.

I have been MIA , enjoying some sun, fun and sand with DH

    We had a great time!

I am worried though and I know it is ridic, but I'll be 16weeks tomorrow and over the past few days have felt really good, I know I should be feeling better and it did happen slowly but as much as the nausea and stuff stinked it reminded me all was ok, today I barley feel anything, still get tired quickly.....

Anyone feel this way with their first? I can't wait until 7/9 when we get to hear the hb again. .....5 weeks is too long!!!!!!!!

  24. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@FaithFertility: I worried about this a lot last time until I could feel the baby move consistently. I may have freaked out at 16 wks and requested another ultrasound :). I think as a general rule it's normal to start feeling totally normal after 12 weeks so you are fine

@winniebee: Thanks, it is such a roller coaster of emotions, but heard a good message at church tonight that will help my worries

@winniebee: I am now 17 weeks and still no sure signs of movement. I keep waiting. I felt my first at 16 weeks.

@magnolia: not too soon. Best to do your research, ask other moms, and stroll through the store. This can take some time. And no I wi not being doing a registry as this is my second child.

Hi all! I've been MIA for a while too... Work has been super busy, I had a crazy work function that got me home at 12:30am on Thurs, and I needed the next 2 nights to catch up on sleep

How's everyone doing/feeling? I can't believe I'm 18+3 already! The bump is definitely getting bigger, and I am dyyyyinnnng to find out the gender... Everyone keeps asking and it's annoying to say we don't know yet over & over!

I caved & ordered a bunch of maternity clothes of asos.com last week, they came super fast and I ordered 6 things and are keeoping 3! Everything was under $20 so I'm really happy about that!

  29. FaithFertility

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@snowjewelz: Thanks for the website: might need to check it out!

    Yay, to 18w!
I am 16w1day and feeling pretty good! I can't wait to find out gender, seriously can't wait!!!!! We go to Dr for checkup next wednesday I'll be 17w3days I doubt they will tell me then, but can't wait to hear HB again

Are you feeling any movemment yet?

  30. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@FaithFertility: Just ask! The tech last time was more than willing to look, baby just wasn't cooperating!

Def check it out asos! They have free shipping & returns so I just ordered a bunch of stuff to try on

I don't think I've felt anything yet... I try to pay attention but most of the time I'm just really not sure what it is!

  31. FaithFertility

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@snowjewelz: I will def ask!!!!!!!!! A lot of family/friends have gone to the same OBGYN practice as me and many say they hold until 20weeks, but can't hurt to ask!!!!!

I try too to lay still and see if I feel anything, although I know 16weeks is still early....lol

Had a midwife appointment today that was well and truly disappointing. All she did was test blood pressure and urine. She wouldn't listen to the Heartbeat which was sad as I told her that I have been really anxious about the baby being ok. I feel like my bump has shrunk this week. Last week it was huge and everyone Kept commenting on it but it's gone really small I feel like. She said there was nothing to worry about but that easier said than done. I guess I have to wait a few weeks for my next scan. I'm also having the weird symptom of majorly itchy boobs. They are driving me crazy.

My grandmother passed away this weekend which was incredibly sad but also a blessing as it has been horrendous for her this last week. She was in horrible amounts of pain which was so distressing to see so I'm glad she is now at peace and with my grandfather. I have to help organise the funeral now so I'm trying to get my head around all those details. Anyway, enough depressing stuff.

@snowjewelz: I'm so glad I saw your post about asos. I ordered some stuff too but it was all massive for me. I need to send it all back and I had completely forgotten! Glad you reminded me!

  33. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Mrs.Lilac: I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother I do agree that sometimes it is more of a relief to know that they are not suffering anymore. I hope all the little details will go smoothly and that the service will be a wonderful memorial of her.

Buy yourself some new clothes to cheer up! It doesn't take much work to listen to the HB, I am sorry she didn't comply About the bump tho, I do notice that it gets bigger/small randomly at this stage, I think it depends sometimes on how much I eat and bloating. On Sunday someone told me I don't even look pregnant and I was like, are you kidding?!

I am suuuper early but have already started a registry. We have a local Tomy outlet store (sells lamaze and the first years) and since I had the day off with my mom and sis we just registered b/c I could. AND then since it was so much fun I hopped onto Target and Amazon too, lol. Amazon is great though so I can save recommended items as I read the hellobee blog. I can always go back and take things off later, and I'm sure I won't share it until the baby shower invites go out anyways, but it's fun to look and save now!

@littlek: @whenoceansrise: last time, baby had a choroid plexus cyst that caused me a lot of anxiety, and it went away on it's own (most often does) by 32 weeks. I'm not sure how much can change, along those lines, in two weeks, but I just don't want to have any more unnecessary stress.
