I think this baby must be in a growth spurt as I'm back to being hungry around the clock. 16 weeks today.

@winniebee: I ate a ton for lunch and I'm still starving.. I've been hitting the gym a lot though.

@littlek: yah I've been working out fequently and on those days I am a bottomless pit.

@winniebee: being a SAHM is going to turn me into a gym rat. :). There are 2 pools there so I take B swimming after I work out.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@littlek: haha yeah I thought I would work out in gym more but it's so much quicker to do a run in the jogging stroller so I do that mostly. For now - running is starting to get more difficult so I might want to do more elliptical soon.

@winniebee: B is not a fan of the stroller. I'm working on it but he would rather walk.

@winniebee: I've been on modified bed rest. Just told to take it easy, im not im preterm labor yet, just that my odds of it happening are high. Im just scared that every little twinge I feel means somethings wrong. Im trying to destress about it. I want to be excited about my baby, but im afraid too.thanks for your understanding!

@luv2beamom: That sounds super stressful!! Hopefully you can de-stress, and the modified bed rest helps. And congratulations on your little boy!
@winniebee: I feel like I am constantly hungry! But then I eat maybe half of my meal and am super full. And then am ravenous again an hour later. Ha. My husband just rolls his eyes at this point.

@theotherstark: I was thinking the same thing as I was just catching up this morning. All of last weeks announcements were boys!

@MamaG: I wonder what the final breakdown will be! We're starting to get into the thick of anatomy/gender scans, so it will be fun to hear over the next few weeks

Just finished my appt. all is well and heartbeat sounded great still. We are tentatively scheduling c-section for November 17. Dr also addressed the duplicate testing error due to her offices miscommunication. She's offering the correct thing, which is to cover the Harmony test cost, should there be any to me.
****next appt is set for 8/4

So I've potentially felt what could be kicks, but despite having been through this before, I'm still not sure! It could be kicks or it could be just gas bubbles! Gahhh! I can't wait for them to be more obvious!!!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@MamaG: Glad everything was well and that you heard the heartbeat. I seriously never get tired of hearing it! And that's great news that they're covering the test - I would have been incredibly pissed on your behalf if they hadn't offered
@Adira: I hope they start getting more obvious for you soon! Mine are still really sporadic - I generally only feel them for a little while once or twice a day. On Saturday, though, I felt them almost all day! I didn't feel anything on Sunday, so I think he/she tuckered him/herself out with all that activity on Saturday Haha. Felt them again this morning, so all is well. I just want them to get more frequent/consistent, and I can't wait for them to be strong enough that my husband can feel!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@theotherstark: It probably doesn't help that I have an anterior placenta - maybe that's what's making this so hard to figure out!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@Adira: Yeah, I have read that most women with anterior placentas don't feel movement until later, so I bet that's why

It's a for us!
Appt went very well today and I got a few butt/genital pictures. This tech said that my last tech may not have wanted to guess for me, but usually girls are the ones with crossed legs and more likely to hide apparently!
I think I felt my first kick this past weekend, that "gas bubble" feeling but only for a second. Today they said I have an anterior placenta too, so if I feel anything it would be higher up.
I am just so relieved to finally know!
*** anatomy 7/16, next ob appt 8/1 ***

@snowjewelz: Congratulations on your baby girl!!!! So exciting!!!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Hopefully we'll all feel more certain kicks soon! I don't expect to really know, or feel them more often until later since I am a 1st time mom AND with the A.P! I def remember that the gas bubble feel was unlike anything else that I usually feel so although it was fleeting I was pretty certain that was it!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: Congrats on the girl! The crossed leg thing is exactly what happened to us with our first girl and was the basis for the doctor to make that guess I was just looking through the list this morning and thinking you had to find out soon
pomelo / 5298 posts
@Adira: My doctor likes to point out any movement on the doppler which helped me to be more certain about what I was feeling. If you are still unsure at your next appointment, I would ask them to draw your attention to it with the doppler.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: Oooh, good idea! I'll have to remember that for my appointment next week!
