@photojane: Hi! Yes, the shower was wonderful I was a little bummed that only about half the guest list showed up, so around 15 people. We had a lot of cancellations that morning and a lot of people who just didn't show up. We got a few things of the registry, some clothes, and a few cute things like picture frames. We now have a TON of shopping to do (DH was shocked when I told him how much it would cost us to buy the remainder of what we needed) but it was a very nice shower and I am grateful for what we did get

@Baby Boy Mom: That trip to Chile sounds fun. Did you get to eat a lot of good food?

@photojane: @shopaholic: My work shower was fun. The office chipped in and got us the Double Bob stroller. It was such a wonderful surprise!

@ladyfingers: I'm glad to hear that your shower was wonderful! I hear you on the shopping that still needs to be done. We plan to do it strategically and spread out the costs over time instead of all at once.

This weekend was filled with errands and trying to get as much done. We got a lot accomplished and I even managed to squeeze in a movie with my sister - Silver Linings Playbook. I'm trying to see as many movies as I can before the babies arrive

Hey girls! I have done so much baby stuff this week...
-Invites went out for my shower on Jan. 15 and some girlfriends threw me a small gift card shower, woo hoo!
-Crib is put together. There's a crib in my house!
-Took infant/child CPR (scary!) and had our hospital tour (exciting!).

Had a checkup on Thurs (29 weeks) and asked my doc about red raspberry leaf tea--he said not to start until 37 weeks and to only have a cup every few days b/c it can cause contractions. Has anyone else asked about this? Also, I asked about perineal massage and he said to go for it if we want to, but he doesn't really believe it's effective and 99% of first-time moms will tear. AAAAAH! (maybe he was exaggerating?) He did say they do their best to support the perineum and keep you from tearing as much as possible...has anyone's doc endorsed perineal massage?

@ladyfingers: My DH started nudging this weekend about really starting to buy some of the must-haves, rather than waiting to see whether anyone gifts the stuff (which is less likely, since we're not having a shower). I'm overwhelmed!

@WALLAROO: We did a little this weekend: put up curtains, and mostly really talked about what we're each comfortable with doing sooner rather than later. Yours sounds more productive than ours!

@tororojo: A crib?! Nice job!! Ours should be delivered early January.

We met a possible pediatrician today. She was very nice and competent, but I'm not entirely convinced she's right for me; she was very all-business, and I'm not sure I'm quite comfortable enough as a first time mom. I'm disappointed, because I wanted to love her and the practice, and while I still like the practice, I want to set up an appointment with another doctor, whether there or somewhere else, and see if I can find someone I'm more comfortable with.

I've been getting SO much more tired recently. Anyone else?!

@tororojo: That is some awesome progress! I bet a crib definitely makes it feel more real. We aren't planning to purchase their cribs until we move since they will be sleeping in the Rock N Play's for a few months then probably the Pack N Play.

@JessiBee: You just reminded me that I need to get started on my search for pediatricians. I'm kind of leaning towards our current family practice doctor who my DH and I both like. I am definitely getting more tired these days!

Baby naming is so hard! We had both babies names picked out a few months ago and then just last week (or was it the week before?) Babycenter put out their top 100 names for 2012 and Baby Girl's name was in the top 10 when last year it wasn't even close. DH and I did not want any of the babies names to be too popular so we have taken her name off the table. We are back to the drawing board. There is one name that we both like but I am worried that there might be some negative association with the name from the 70's. DH doesn't think that anyone our age or younger will make the association. Sorry to be so vague :P. Anyone still having trouble with names?

@WALLAROO: @ladyfingers: Glad you both had nice showers! Hopefully you can score some deals on whatever else you'll need or space out purchases over time.

@WALLAROO: I hear you on the movies. Been telling DH that and we went to a movie 2 weekends in a row! That's amazing because DH hates spending $ to go out to the movies instead of watching at home. We saw "The Hobbit" in 3D last weekend and he deemed that worth it since we can't get the same effects at home.

@tororojo: Great progress! I think it's Arden in my March Mommas group that said she already started taking RRL at 28 weeks? I'm going out to buy it today. I think starting slowly probably wouldn't start the contractions, but I'm going to try one tea bag a day and if I feel any strong contractions, I will stop immediately.

@JessiBee: I need to schedule the pediatrician meet & greets!

We assembled our crib and laid out the rug last week! I've started moving boxes and things back into the room now (after it was painted). My shower invitations went out a couple of days ago I'm told, so nervous and excited to see how many people can actually make it (it will be on a holiday weekend).
I'm going to check out a couple of montessori schools this week and put our names on the waiting lists. In our city, everyone has told me the waiting lists (especially for the good ones) are 2+ years, so getting on the lists while pregnant is the norm. Anyone else have this issue in their areas?

@ladyfingers: glad u enjoyed ur shower! Sucky about having to buy so much tho. Can you try to break your list down to what u need when so you don't have to get everything at once? How's it going with the GD? I saw ur recent post about it - don't beat yourself up about it even though I'm sure it's stressful...Your body is doing what it needs to to get your baby here.

@WALLAROO: that's awesome about the stroller! What a nice gift. And I'm crossing my fingers for a last minute baby turn!... Kinda stinks about baby girls name. And I wouldn't worry too much about associations - I feel like there's always something someone will say regardless of the name. We are having the hardest time deciding on ours. We really have no idea.

@tororojo: way to go on getting stuff done! I've never heard of the tea but will keep it in mind for the end if I need it! The whole tearing thing is scary but u feel like i would rather tear then have them cut me. I haven't brought any labor stuff up yet at the docs. Probably soon.

@JessiBee: I am exhausted all.the.time. Granted i usually stay up too late but now I barely function when I used to be fine... Good job on visiting pediatricians! Hope you find one you like. I keep telling myself I need to do that but it's still on the back burner.

We finally made some progress in the nursery. Still working on the long dresser. Needs new pulls and of course the top drawers are an odd size so we are making new holes with a drill bit and file - talk about tedious.

How's everyone with getting ready for Christmas? I have no desire to do any of it. We're putting our tree up tonight and I've only bought 2 small things! I'm gonna be out with all the crazy people on Saturday trying to get my list done. Oh well. At least next year will be amazing with our babies!

Here's what we have so far... Need to start decorating.

@shopaholic: nice on putting your crib up! It makes it feel so much more real doesn't it? We visited 4 daycares (not Montessori) and didnt find any issues with waiting lists. I was afraid that would happen but was relieved it wasn't the case here. One place was booked up to right before we would have started. Good luck on your search! I thought it was super hard.

@WALLAROO: We had a great time- mostly stayed around Santiago area/ the beach. The one thing that isn't great in Chile is the food though! The first time we went (coincidentally when I was pregnant with LO1) I was so disappointed, but this time I knew not to expect much. I actually mentioned to DH that "the bland food there was really good for my reflux"...ahh pregnancy!
Also, if it makes you feel better we have NO IDEA what we are naming Baby Brother. I've started looking through some lists but have been so distracted that I can't get it together. Maybe next week when I'm bored because everyone is out of town...

@tororojo: Ooo, good thinking about the tea! Our next appointment is next week and that's something I need to ask about too. I think there is a really large disparity of opinions on the matter, but I'll bug DH to look up some recent research on it.

@JessiBee: Yes! So tired all.the.time! If I could, I would lay on the couch all day...

@Phillybaby2013: LOVE the colors of your nursery!

Around here, the nesting has begun. Pantry is cleaned. Storage organized. Currently working on bookshelves/paperwork....I've even got DH helping me. I think he realizes that it's crunch time for us. LO1 is super clingy to me, but I'm told it's normal for third tri. so just trying to give him lots of snuggles while he's still an only child.

@Phillybaby2013: yeah we did split the list up but it was still a lot thanks for asking about the GD, it's been ok - some wacky readings but still pretty much within range. We had a biophysical profile today and baby is measuring 4 lbs 15 oz with a half pound error margin so she said he's probably more like 4.5 lbs so he's perfect for his gestation. Head and chest are measuring right at 33ish weeks.

The radiologist had some extra time so she did a 4d too! It was sooooo cool and unexpected. He's so damn cute! We had decided not to get one and I am right at the point where they're tough to get clearly, so it was really special that she did that. I'll post pictures later! He was sucking on his hand the whole time

@Phillybaby2013: Yes! Having the crib assembled really does make it feel more real and like she's coming soon! I love how your room is coming along. It looks so cheerful!

@ladyfingers: Aww! He's super cute! Those are lovely pictures! We've decided not to go get the 4D images at a private place so far either. My OB's office has one and so did the special u/s place I went to a few weeks ago. Baby is always sitting sooo low and/or hiding her face behind her arms, so the ones I always get are partial too. My OB said they'd try again at 32 weeks for some more 4D shots.

@WALLAROO: We're still looking at names...kind of. We're pretty settled on a first name, although sometimes debating whether it's too foreign. We've had some middle name ideas, but we haven't settled on anything for sure yet.

@shopaholic: We put our names in for daycare right after my first trimester, and we were told they weren't sure they'd fit her in right away! Here's hoping they find a way, because I am going to have to go back to work. We also really only looked at one place for daycare (which also does preschool), because it's the only Jewish daycare/preschool we considered an option here.

@Phillybaby2013: Cute start to the nursery! I'm thinking ours will start to feel more real when the crib shows up, too.

@Baby Boy Mom: I wish I could start on the nesting! But we're mid-kitchen-renovation, so our house is in total chaos (and they promised they'd be finished well before my due date), and as for everything else, I've been too wiped after work to do much at all in the evenings. I want to nest, I just can't make it happen!

@ladyfingers: So cool! I have no idea when/if I get another ultrasound, but I doubt it will be a 4-d one.

We have some snow/ice around here, and I managed to fall in a parking lot today...twice. Mainly I bruised my pride and my ego. I fell on my knees and hands, so I'm not worried about baby (and I've felt her usual squirming up a storm the rest of the day since), but it was really scary! So I'm reminding myself (and all of us) to wear sensible shoes, especially in questionable weather. (I was in flat boots, but not snow boots, ones that have zero traction and are clearly not meant for winter parking lots!) Be more careful (and less klutzy) than me!!

@ladyfingers: love those pictures!!! our 4d pictures came out really creepy because they couldn't get a decent shot...they take lots of imagination.

@JessiBee: I know what you mean. Today I was on a mad cleaning frenzy because our landlord was coming over to renew our lease. So instead of taking a break, I cleaned during LO's nap, and now I am pooped! I say kitchen reno. counts as nesting though!

@Baby Boy Mom: sounds like you had a nice trip! I would give anything to be on a beach right now....It's nice that DH is helping you nest! Especially with your LO needing your attention. I can imagine it must be hard preparing for baby #2.

@ladyfingers: so happy that baby D is measuring right on schedule! I'm sure that's reassuring for you.....love the 3D pics- what a nice surprise!!! It's so crazy, looking at the pics that that little person is growing inside of you. I watch the movie clips from mine all the time. Can't wait to compare them when he comes out.

@Phillybaby2013: @JessiBee: You guys are talking about Daycare for when you return to work right? I'm talking about a 2-3 year waiting list for Pre-School, which they start when they are about 2 1/2 years old! That's how crazy our city is.

@JessiBee: Oh no! Well, so glad you and baby are okay! At least at this point, you can feel movement! I was so paranoid earlier in pregnancy to slip and fall. It's been scary when we go up to the mountain home, I'm so thankful I got Sorel boots this year because the traction is definitely different than Uggs! Thankful you are okay!

@Phillybaby2013: Oh I totally missed the nursery pic -- I love the striped curtains with that color wall! Great start!

    @shopaholic: @JerricaBenton: @Baby Boy Mom: Thanks! I can't stop staring at them

@JessiBee: Yeah the 4d definitely wasn't planned -- it was a nice surprise! I have one more ultrasound in 4 weeks, all the extra monitoring because of the GD. And yes -- I have been EXHAUSTED no matter what lately Also hope you're feeling better after your fall!

@Phillybaby2013: Thanks! Yes, VERY reassuring. I thought DH was going to faint from relief lol. It is totally nuts to watch him and to know what's going on in there. I never get over the novelty of it! He was randomly flicking his tongue in and out lol. Weirdo

@ladyfingers: My DH is STILL shocked at how much everything will cost AFTER the shower! I'm glad you got some stuff you needed though! Your 4d is SO cute! He's adorable. I'm jealous, I really wanted to have one, but DH said it was 4D's or maternity shoot. I took the maternity shoot.

@JessiBee: I really need to get one setting up a pediatrician appt too!!!!! And yea, I've been exhausted, like the first trimester again! I'm glad you're ok after your fall! Sensible shoes are a total must these days

@shopaholic: WHOA - 2+ year waiting list?!? We don't have that problem here! That's crazy!

@ladyfingers: love the pictures! he is so precious already

@Phillybaby2013: digging what you've got going for the nursery so far. i love red and baby blue together.

i've been gone for the past few days on my babymoon, and it was awesome. the time alone with hubs was so needed and wonderful. i'm ready for another.

we had our growth scan today, and got to see sweet sadie all plumped up. she was moving and grooving, and so precious. she's already 4.5lbs, and they think she'll be about 8.5lbs if she goes to 40 weeks! this is actually great news since she was expected to be small (with the possibility of IUGR) due to my cord abnormality. big is good! we did receive some bad news though... she's breech! EEK. the midwife thinks her chances of turning at this stage in the game aren't good, but we're still hopeful. we most likely can't get a version because of her cord, so if she's not flipped by my next appointment (january 2nd) we'll schedule a c-section. BOOOO!

in better news, look how cute her profile is:

  21. ladyfingers

    pomelo / 5331 posts

@photojane: I'm so glad Sadie is growing well, boo on the breech! My chiropractor said there's a gentle method they use to turn the baby, if you can find a prenatal chiropractor (I can't remember the name of the technique for the life of me, if somebody can help me out), or try pelvic rocking (like cat/cow)? Of course if your midwife says it's OK Good luck!

@ladyfingers: my midwife gave me a website with tips for turning a breech baby, but most of the things on there were weird to me! haha. i did try one exercise from the website where i kind of hang upside down off of the couch. it was really awkward, and i just felt dizzy. i might keep trying it though - i really want my vaginal birth!

I can't stop shopping for this kid! I just spent $50 on a bunch of used books from Better World Books, and now I'm trying to restrain myself from spending $35 on a set of beautiful blocks:
    http://unclegoose.com/products/classic-abc-blocks/
and $52 on an adorable doll: http://www.blablakids.com/Online-Shopping/knit-dolls#.UNSIH2_tTkA (Luigi the Frog I MEAN COME ON).

I should at least space these out to like, one purchase per month or per paycheck or something.

Help! DH is starting to give me the side-eye. Is anybody else having this problem? It's bad enough we just spent so much on the "necessities"!

  25. photojane

@ladyfingers: YES. I can no longer shop without getting her at least a little something. I don't even shop for myself anymore... I'd much rather get her clothes. Luigi the Frog is KILLING me... so cute. I'm a little obsessed with Splash the Cat!

@photojane: I know! I am torn between Sardine and Luigi but Luigi's moustache just freakin' kills me. I know that there will be a while before he cares about any of this stuff but I love the idea of buying him things before he's even here that he will love when he gets older. Ugh, this is going to be the most spoiled kid in the world. I told DH that I know he doesn't need half the stuff we get him, but I want to because we can.

@photojane: Aww! What a BEAUTIFUL profile shot! Sorry to hear about the breech! I remember on "Tia & Tamera" how she did all sorts of crazy exercises and chiropractic sessions to get baby to turn. Good luck!

@ladyfingers: Ummm... yeah I have the same problem. I'm a shopaholic. But I do try to edit and go through all the stuff I buy once in awhile and try to return or tell myself I definitely don't need any more of xyz category. P.S. I'm a SUCKER for the BlaBla dolls! I don't think anyone I know IRL knows what they are except for my sister, who I was telling her all about them. So I think she is going to get us one for the shower. She loves Josephine the Elephant. I think I love the Luigi for the mustache more than Sardine! But ah! They are all so cute! If I were having a little boy, I would really want Balthazar the Bunny.

@JessiBee: Sorry for delay in response! Thanks for the compliment I am really happy with the rug, too funny we're thinking the same for colour schemes! I got my rug off Etsy, the shops name is Giuliana Design. The owner was wonderful to work with.

Oh man! You're on the ball with ped's I haven't even thought of that...oops! I hope you find one you're comfortable with.

Scary about the fall, glad to hear you're ok! I fell in the middle of the mall yesterday - tripped over my own foot, how embarrassing Didn't hurt myself at all but I'm sure I was quite the sight!

@Emilie: Glad to hear you enjoyed your shower, I like the idea of having a co-ed. Thank you for the compliment on the nursery, I need to decorate now! I love Ina May, definitely makes the upcoming labor seem more real, although I oddly feel a bit more relaxed and confident Hope you are feeling the same! *I think you can request no internal checks (maybe different from Canada to the States?) my doctor just told me this week she doesn't start internals until my due week.

@WALLAROO: Will cross my fingers for you that baby girl turns to head down! Good on ya for getting in as many movies as possible before the babies come. I'm trying for the same, and to squeeze in some pleasure reading as well! I am 100% with you on the names, one of our boys names came up on the top 100 as well and we decided (I) to ditch it. Back to the drawing board, naming is HARD!

@Baby Boy Mom: Yeesh! That is exactly what I don't want to happen with visitors...I just know by my personality etc, having things go like that would totally stress me out. I definitely understand people wanting to come over and meet the baby etc but not sure how to go about politely drawing lines at some point?! CHILE!! So awesome! It's on my bucket list, so nice that you were able to get away before your second comes along.

@ladyfingers: So glad you enjoyed your shower, sorry to hear you still has lots to buy! It's a bit overwhelming. Wonderful that babe is measuring bang on and such a nice surprise to get the 4D! Cute LO you have growing in there

@tororojo: Way to go on getting lots accomplished! My doula recommended starting the tea the last time I chatted with her (30 weeks) so I started with 1 cup a day. I haven't noticed any more braxton hicks than I normally do. I am sure this really varies from person to person. As for perineum massage, it seems there area a lot of varying stances on it. Some say it totally helps others not so much, we've taken the route of - it can't make things worse. I think we'll start at 36 weeks.

@shopaholic: Same thing here for us, some daycares are 3 year lists!! So insane! So far we have just registered for the daycare where our children will most likely be going to school. Which also happens to be our gym. Super convenient!! I hope you're able to secure a place you're happy with and the wait is much shorter than 2 years. Is there anyone you can get a referral from? I know a lot of people here that go to Montessori have secured spots by either sharing or having a referral.

@Phillybaby2013: Cute! Love the color of blue, look forward to seeing it all decorated.

@photojane: Yay for baby moons! Glad you enjoyed your time together. Glad to hear she's measuring well but sad about the breech I was told to check out spinningbabies .com if I became breech. Might be worth a looking into? Adorable profile pic!

We're getting ready to head to Florida to visit with my grandparents for a couple days then onto a vacation with DH's family. It will be interesting sharing a house for a week! I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas has a wonderful time filled with family, friends and lots of delicious food!

We decided to go for a 3D ultrasound since we only had one US at 20 weeks. Figured it would be cool to see babe in utero one last time. Neither of our Mom's got to experience an ultrasound so we brought them and my sister and brother in-law along, It was really awesome, the family thought it was super cool and special. Will be interesting to see if our LO comes out looking a lot like the images. I still don't have a gut feeling on whether it's a boy or girl! What do you ladies think?

EDIT: oh dear! sorry it's so big!

@Baby Boy Mom: I discovered what I do now when I can't nest at home: Today I spent large chunks of time at work cleaning my office! So, apparently I'm nesting there.

@shopaholic: Hahaha you're right: I was talking about daycare for when I go back to work, not preschool! I guess that is one of the joys of not living in a big, coastal city: it's not a problem here. That said, my daycare becomes preschool as the child gets older; it's all kind of one continuous program, but I am definitely glad to not have that multi-year waiting list thing to think about!

@photojane: I asked my doc about baby position (I'm 32 weeks today, so a little behind you, but not too much), and she said that it's still too early to tell without an ultrasound, and that they keep moving and somersaulting until 35-36 weeks normally anyway, so I shouldn't even think about worrying about it until then. I'm all for things I don't have to worry about, so I gift you my doc's permission to put off the worrying! If only permission made it so.

@ladyfingers: I have been trying not to shop! So far, we don't have one article of baby clothing in the house, but DH is actually getting anxious about it. I warned him that once we start, I'll probably go way overboard, but he's nervous that we have nothing so far, so it seems we'll be braving the pre-Christmas crowds this weekend!

@ladyfingers: @photojane: @shopaholic: I've never seen those dolls before! Buzz the Bee and McNuttie the Squirrel are fun. No, wait. Socks the Fox. Definitely.

@lolabee: And, I'm off to play on Etsy! Enjoy Florida, and please send some sunshine and warmth up north for the rest of us!!

I'm looking forward to a really long weekend (I usually work parts of weekends, but the next two, just Saturday morning and no Sundays; Mondays are my usual day off, but these next two weeks I get Tuesday, too!) of relaxing, putting my feet up, shopping, and being on HB. I hope I'm not the only one around these parts over the next few days!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! I spent the entire weekend with my in-laws and on Christmas day, it was just me and the hubby, and we CLEANED THE HOUSE for 12+ hours... hahaha, not my idea of a fun Christmas, but it was mainly taking care of all of the junk that was in the nursery closet. Now it's completely cleaned out, and ready for everything baby related, so it's great that this huge task is out of the way!

@photojane - sorry to hear that your baby is breech!! i really hope that she turns in the next week or so!!

@lolabee - I'm finally on the second half of the Ina May book, and I totally agree with you - I'm feeling more relaxed and confident about it. It's funny though, with each chapter, I'm telling my husband a one sentence recap so he's aware of everything too, like the whole reversal of labor process if there's someone you're unfamiliar with that comes into the room? I'm like... remind me to ask my midwife to see if I can have a sign on the door to say something like - please no new people in the room if possible?? haha. by the way - love your 3d ultrasound pic!!

@Emilie: Man, I was so much lazier than you! I don't even think I showered or brushed my teeth yesterday lol. I'm not usually that slovenly but I just laid on the couch and napped until it was time to cook Christmas dinner.

@Emilie: Glad you had a nice Xmas! Cleaning is a big part of my To-Do list today. I'm dreading it and need to get off HB so I can get to cleaning!

Had our first nonstress test today, I was so worried about it but it was no big thing! They hook you up to a monitor with one strap at the top of the bump to measure any contractions (I didn't have any) and one where the heartbeat is. Every time I felt the baby move, I had to push a button so it would know the difference between a contraction and a movement. The baby's heartbeat is supposed to accelerate every time he moved. Man, was he active! He moved like 22 times in 20 minutes. It was so wild hearing his heartbeat race and then feeling a huge kick -- it's like he knew he was supposed to perform. There were a ton of times he apparently moved (fast heartbeat) and I didn't even feel him! DH was so surprised, she strapped me up and like 4 seconds later I hit the button and he was like, "He moved already??" I'm like, dude, he moves ALL THE TIME.

Anyway, everything went perfect so same time, next week

How's everybody feeling? I'm starting to feel so anxious about becoming a parent! And this baby is running out of room to move but still moving nonetheless and it feels like he's tearing me apart!

Oh wow. I've missed out on a lot. Love everyone's updates and sounds like everyone is doing well.

I had my monthly growth scan on Wednesday along with my second (now weekly) NST. We found out that Baby A is still breech and doesn't look like she will be able to flip as she is running out of room so my c-section is scheduled for 1/29. I was very bummed at first since I really wanted a vaginal birth but it is out of my control. So unless they decide to come earlier, I have an actual end date which is a little weird. I'm on vacation until the 2nd so I've been working on errands.

I hope everyone had a great holiday and enjoyed the time with their families.

@ladyfingers - Oh, I didn't WANT to clean the house on Christmas day. My husband said - hey, we're both home and not doing anything, we should do this today before the baby comes =P I think what you did would be my ideal Christmas day haha

@shopaholic - It's hard to get the motivation to start cleaning, but I had the hubby to push me =P It does feel awesome though knowing that it's done!

So, I registered on amazon.com and was fortunate to have over 40 items purchased by friends/family, but I had another 30 to tackle myself. I spent the last couple of days really thinking about what I needed vs. what I didn't need, and took advantage of Amazon's 10% completion discount last night. It was a crazy amount to spend to get everything else, but finally I can say: Registry completed!!! Here is what I can think of that's left to do:

    *install the car seat
*buy laundry detergent (free & clear)
*do laundry for baby clothes, sheets, & swaddles
*buy a small lamp for the changing table
*buy a small lamp for the glider area
*buy an IKEA dresser that's going into the closet
    *finish reading two childbirth books
    *finish my DIY crib skirts
*write a birth plan & make copies
    *pack the hospital bag

I feel like this list is pretty short... any other stuff that you girls can think of that we need to do just before the baby comes?

@PHILLYBABY2013: I think in lots of ways it's easier because I know what to expect, but in other ways it's harder because I know just how tough the beginning is going to be. I know I need to be on top of things now because if it doesn't happen before the baby comes then it won't for a long, long time..haha…

@LADYFINGERS: We were gifted Lucky the Cat. It's been super cute for pictures, but has gotten close to zero play time. boo! Oh well, pictures are a good enough reason for something cute in my book!
Glad to hear non-stress test went well!!!

@WALLAROO, @photojane: Crossing fingers that your little girls decide to flip!

    @LOLABEE: love the picture!

@EMILIE: One thing I would add to your list is cooking freezer meals. I did that for first LO and it was really great to be able to pull something out of the freezer since I had no energy to cook anything and take-out gets old really fast!

So we had our 32 week appointment today. I was worried about baby growth but everything is looking good and baby is still moving around a lot (went from head down to transverse within a minute while we were watching on the u/s)! On the downside, doc does not seem super supportive of the natural birth I want to attempt, so we will make an appointment with a different doc to see our options.

@Baby Boy Mom - So, I took your advice on cooking freezer meals, and now I have 16 ready to go in my freezer for after the baby! It took me maybe 2.5-3 hours to finish, but I definitely feel good that there will be some home cooking later on and not just take out!! Thanks for the tip!

    Happy New Year, ladies!!!
We definitely have an exciting year ahead of us
