@ladyfingers: Love the bump photo
I've been taking weekly photos and up to last week it still looked like I just had too many burritos. I think this weekend (I take pictures on Saturdays) it might look a little more like a baby bump, if so I'll post mine too!

@ladyfingers: love the bump pic!
I haven't really started taking pictures yet...soon though. Meanwhile I found some old "fat pants" that fit, so I'm just going to be sporting those until we can tell people in a couple of weeks.

Happy Friday ladies! My appointment is today at 2:40pm. I'm going to be staring at the clock all morning in anticipation.
Any fun plans for the weekend?
We are having some friends over for a bbq but that's all we have planned so far. I think I will check out some maternity consignment stores as well.

@WALLAROO: Good luck! I'm going to a friend's bachelorette party on the beach tomorrow, it'll be my first instance of rockin' a bathing suit with this bump goin' on.

@laylabelle: welcome! how is your pregnancy going so far?

I had my appt on Friday with my OB and the babies looked great. I had my NT scan today which is the only genetic screening available for multiples and the doctor said the measurements looked good! What a relief. I was also able to see the babies again. It was so cool to see them squirming and moving about. Their little limbs were so cute! Here is a profile shot of both them.

@ladyfingers: How was the beach? Did you rock that bathing suit?
@laylabelle: Congratulations and welcome!
@photojane: Happy second trimester!

@photojane: Hi, thank you!! Been feeling good lately, the mega fatigue is easing up and although smells still bother me, I don't really get nauseated any longer. Now it's ravenous hunger!!!
I hope the 2nd brings some relief for you!

@WALLAROO: hey! We actually had lunch first and it was 4 by the time anybody made a move for the beach! I was too exhausted so the suit will have to wait till next week in the Outer Banks for its debut
Your twins look great!

I forgot to mention that I scheduled our anatomy scan for September 10. I can't wait!
Have you ladies scheduled your appointment yet?
pomelo / 5331 posts
@WALLAROO: Not yet, I have to go in for high-risk cervical measurement scans at 16 and 18 weeks so I've got those yet! Aug. 23 is our next one, we're hoping we can find out the sex then!

@WALLAROO: Not yet but I have an appointment this afternoon, hoping to schedule it then!

@blackbird: Thanks!!! Are you incognito? Can you tell me who you are?

@wallaroo - my anatomy scan is also scheduled for september 10th!
@laylabelle - welcome!
Today is 13 weeks and 3 days, and I traveled to New Orleans over the weekend.... and ended up eating mostly salads, potatoes, and tomatoes. How sad right??? I was eating some fried chicken (which is awesome there), and then felt all of this pressure around my heart, like someone's hand was squeezing it on all sides - one of my formerly pregnant friends just told me that this is what heartburn is. Boo..
Otherwise, I'm feeling pretty good, and since I haven't told work yet, I'm trying to hide this bump!! Not sure how much longer I can wait before people really start to notice.

guys, i threw up so much this morning i peed all over myself. how embarrassing!

@photojane: Oh no! I got really nauseous this morning, more than I've ever been yet and I was thinking, is it possible for MS to kick in at like 14 weeks?! Thank goodness it passed. I'm sorry you're feeling yucky!

@photojane - omg!! is it certain types of foods? I feel like the only foods that work well for me are carbs, veggies, and fruits. Most meats make me queasy =(
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
@Emilie: unfortunately, no! i wish it was just certain foods. sometimes when i'm really sick, and i try to drink water to keep from getting dehydrated, i even throw up the water! it's the weirdest thing. like @ladyfingers, it's actually gotten worse the farther along i've gotten.

@laylabelle: welcome and congrats!
Do you ladies get people asking others if you're pregnant and guessing you are way further ahead than you actually are? My friend's mom thought I was 4-5 MONTHS along! I'm only 13 weeks. Way to make a pregnant woman feel self conscious!

@Mrs. Lantern: Thank you!!
And, yes. A lady in a store was the first person to realize I was pregnant and ask when I'm due. When I told her February, she said, "oh, I thought you were much further along than that!" Thaaaaanks.

@Mrs. Lantern: I've been circumventing all possible comments by being quite vocal about how huge I think I am for how far along I am. I'm insufferable like that.
cherry / 144 posts
@Mrs. Lantern - I haven't had any of that happen to me yet.. there will always just be people who don't have a clue, and obviously don't mean to say something insensitive, but do anyways.
We need more bump photos on this thread
@photojane - awww!! if it makes you feel any better, my "carbs are fine" didn't really work for me today for lunch... I had to spit out my pasta because I just couldn't swallow it =( This also got worse for me just in the last couple of weeks... it wasn't bad at all before!

@Mrs. Lantern: I haven't experienced this yet. I'm still trying to hide the bump since I haven't told work yet. I plan on telling them next week.
I ordered my first set of maternity clothes last night online from Old Navy and Gap. I hope they fit and don't look frumpy!

hubs and i are making a chalkboard tomorrow to FINALLY start our weekly bump pictures. i've been waiting until it looked like a bump, and not just fat. i'll post one as soon as we get it finished!
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
@Emilie: i hope that it passes quickly! what is life without pasta?!
cherry / 144 posts
@photojane - you know, I think it was the fact that there were two tiny pieces of chicken mixed in with the pasta. Otherwise it was mostly vegetables and pasta. Note to self: take the chicken out before trying to eat the rest! I did have some pork last night though for the first time during my pregnancy and that I was able to eat that just fine - so, I'm glad I'm getting some protein in my system.
Oooh - I just saw the hellobee post.
@Mrs. High Heels - where are you?? congrats!!

@Mrs. High Heels: welcome and congrats!!!
@photojane: @Emilie: sorry u guys aren't feeling very good! I think my MS is finally starting to ease up a bit in the last few days. I didn't gag once today! Hopefully yours will turn corner soon too!
@WALLAROO: have u had a hard time hiding ur pregnancy from work for this long? I'd imagine your twin bump is surpassing the rest of our one baby bumps. Not that I think I look pregnant quite yet but people said they knew something was up before I told them. I agree about the worries with maternity clothes... My MIL bought me a couple things and I need to get out and get myself some more but I almost don't want to wear them yet bc i feel like it will just make me look bigger and not so much pregnant. I feel like alot of the maternity styles out there now are geared toward very fashionable skinny people with bumps. Everything is tight and sleeveless. : (

This weekend I officially entered the second trimester. Woo hoo! I celebrated by going to Gap Maternity and bought my first pair of maternity jeans :). My online order should be coming in today or tomorrow. At Gap they had one of those fake bumps you can wear to try on their clothes. That was kind of fun to put on and imagine what it will look like once I have a real baby bump. My husband took a picture and sent it to my dad and sister and they thought I really grew that much over night. Haha!
@Mrs. High Heels: Welcome and so glad you are joining us!
@Phillybaby2013: I'm doing my best to hide it at work but on the weekends my family and friends say that I am showing now. I am planning on telling my boss this week so then I won't have to hide it anymore. As for the fashion right now, hopefully with fall and winter coming up we'll have more options. I'm looking forward to leggings, tunics/light sweaters, and boots!

@WALLAROO: congrats on being in the 2nd! It's a great feeling... That's hilarious about the fake bump! I've never heard of that before in a store. I caved and ordered a bunch of stuff from kohls and believe it or not Walmart! I hate spending money on clothes as it is and they had a lot of cute stuff so I hope they're decent. I couldn't fathom spending $30+/piece from some of the other stores. I'm super excited to be big in the winter so we can wear cozy clothes. I feel bad for the girls that deliver when it's super hot. I could not deal.
Hope everyone has a good week!!!
