@math.nerd: Welcome and congrats on your boy!
@SweetMamaM: People keep saying I'm small, too. It's sort of nice but also worrying. I'm trying to take it in stride since I'm tall with a LOT of torso!

@Ree723: we had a sound only monitor too and I barely used it. I woke up for everything anyway and I knew a video would make me overly anxious and obsessed

@IcebergMom: Yes, for the most part! Still eating bland food because my stomach is queasy but haven't been sick in a couple days and fully hydrated now!

Dr appt update!: I'm 22 weeks and 4 days. His heart rate was 161 which is consistent with what it has been so that's good! My doctors office is on the second floor of the hospital I'm delivering at, and I always take the stairs. I've just made a habit of taking the stairs whenever possible. Well my BP was a little high when they took it when I got there. But I told them I took the stairs and may have been winded so they let me rest and retook it and it was perfectly normal. I take my sugar test next time which is November 19th!
His movement has been back down to minimal again lately after having a good few days of insane amounts of movement. I mentioned this to my nurse and my PA (they said it was normal but I just wanted to mention it) and ever since then he's been moving like crazy. I guess he got offended that I called him lazy. Lol
I'm also up to 152 lbs which is a total weight gain of 26 lbs. They didn't mention anything about It and last appointment they said my weight gain was right on track. So I assume it still is? She told me last time that I would have two more big jumps in weight at my appointments and then probably even out.

@indi: we're not going to take classes because all the ones I've seen interfer with my school schedule and the one Saturday class they offer is from 9-4 and that's just too long for me and DH so I just do a lot of reading and praying lol
@Mrs Music: I wanted to get a double electric pump cause I figured it would be better with my school schedule and all and as for the monitor I'm leaving that up to DH but we both agreed on the video kind.
@MrsKoala: glad you're feeling a little better
@citymouse: yay great news glad they went away
@math.nerd: welcome and yay for team blue!
@SweetMamaM: @MrsKoala: same for me people keep say how far along are you and when I tell them going on 6 months they say wow really you don't look like it but my friend was the same way and having a boy and she didn't really blow up until 7 months

@Danizaur: yay for a good appt. my LO does the same thing some days he is having a party in there and others I guess he's more calm but I still feel him at least a few times a day on his quite days and like I say I'm 23w6

My LO has a party whenever I'm at work or working.
I'm wondering if its better to get a double electric or those bra ones... the bra ones are so much cheaper for some reason! Anyone considering the bra ones?
@math.nerd: I'm due Feb 26th and I reckon LO will be a March baby but am firmly sticking to the Feb Mamas thread. Welcome!

@Danizaur: Uh-oh! Not only did I kick the ladies out of the lead, but I made us have three sixes in a row?? Maybe I will be a March Mama after all!
I was a math major too (hence the name), so numbers are important to me!!

@math.nerd: Lol!! I'm excited to see us all tied up. If we don't gain anymore feb mamas until the births I'm rooting for the TG's to be half and half so we will be equal boys and girls!
I hope you're a feb mama so you stay with us! I'm not superstitious.

@math.nerd: I wouldn't worry about it... it seems to be the day for it. (my scale says I'm 66.6 today)

@MrsKoala & @SweetMamaM, I get "you're so small" all the time (I did with my first pregnancy too). Long torso. It really bothered me with my first pregnancy but now I just say, "Yep." People are funny, I've learned to NEVER comment on the size of a pregnant lady - always just go with a "you look great." Why don't more people "get" this? Especially mothers!
Also, I'm carrying this baby fairly low (same with my first) and they are opposite genders - so there goes the theory of how you carry your baby tells the gender of the baby....unless the U/S Tech was wrong (let's hope not!).

@theknest: I always get the "you're so big". My cousin even said "you're really big" at which point I say "I'm 5 months" and she said "at 6 months I had put on 11 kilos" at which point I say "I'm only 5 kilos now so what you talking about me being big?!"
Ahh asian family and friends... always speaking their mind...

@SweetMamaM: @Mrs Music: @Mrs Music: Well today for some reason it seems like my belly just popped and now I'm really showing it crazy cause last week it didn't seem so big now it's like whoa where did that come from lol here's 22w6d and then today at 23w7d

@Danizaur: Little boy was offended!!! Mine gets lazy some days, too! And then other days, it's like a non stop dance party!
@math.nerd: I kind of like the evenness of 6 girls, 6 boys, and 6 TGs so thanks for that!
@theknest: No kidding! I'll never understand why EVERYONE thinks it's okay to comment on a pregnant woman's body. I don't go up to non-pregnant ladies or dudes and tell them they look small or large today so don't do it to me! Just tell me I look good and move on! Grrrr...
@Honeygold89: Whoa!! You really did pop!! Beautiful!

@Honeygold89: Boom! Baby! So cute!
@MrsKoala: I think this LO is a mama's girl, she still only really parties for me. A few people have gotten to feel a little bitty thump, but she saves the big ones for me late at night. How sweet. Haha.
So, today it happened - I leaked through my shirt! Bah! I'm home sick today with crud I caught from DH's relatives, so I was just hanging out in my leggings and t-shirt sans bra, and I look down and my shirt was wet. Aah, pregnancy, so glamorous. Glad it was just at home at not a wet, sticky bra at work. Yeesh!

@citymouse: So happy to hear everything looks good!! Yay for healthy babies!!
@math.nerd: Welcome! I love numbers as well and love the fact that we are all tied up across the board now!
@theknest: I get the "you're so small" comments too but I actually don't mind. I like carrying small. Last time I measured two to three weeks behind the entire time, as well as carried super high, and it's shaping up to be that way again. I know there's no truth to the myth that how you carry determines gender, it's all about body shape, but I like to pretend it's true as I'd love another girl!
@Honeygold89: Wow, hello baby!! You have popped and your little boy is making himself known, so cute!
Our little one is an active little thing and DH has been getting some good strong kicks. We even felt what I think was a foot poking up the other day - so cute! I'm also happy my weight gain has slowed down and I've actually lost a few pounds (unintentionally) so I'm currently up 18.5 lbs at 25.5 weeks, which is exactly where I was when pregnant with DD. And I am finally fully in maternity clothes! I wore my skinny jeans for the last time last weekend (with a rubber band looped around the button) and am now happily in all maternity shorts and tops that somewhat fit without looking ridiculous! Yay for the little things that make us happy!

@Ree723: lucky you... I said goodbye to most of my normal clothes weeks and weeks ago... this is what you get for going to America and buying clothes a tiny bit tight (cos I was losing weight at the time) only to fall pregnant while in America and start growing so quickly that you don't even wear like 3/4 of your clothes you bought!!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@indi: Aww. I love that she parties for you only (although I'm sure your DH doesn't!) There's something about feeling those movements and knowing that you are the only one who knows it's happening that's just special and secret. I love it.
@Ree723: Yay for the gain slowing down! I hope you are having another girl, too! At first, I was sure I wanted a boy but I secretly want a girl now. And I love that you felt a baby foot. Just so so cute!

Just had my midwife appointment, everything tracking well. The midwife was using the doppler to hear her heartbeat and she just kept moving around making the midwife chase her everywhere... she's either super active or a super joker like her dad.

I feel as if I have missed a lot in the last few weeks. I have only been on a couple times a week. Been spending time with my great grandma as her life was nearing an end. She passed away about 10:30 last night. Im happy that she is no longer suffering but I am also deeply saddened. Not only is she going to miss meeting this baby but my wedding is in but a few weeks. She will miss that too. I have the only 5 generation photo that she will ever be in though. Its with me, my daughter, dad, grandma and her. So sad to say goodbye but good to know she isn't suffering anymore.

@Honeygold89: @MrsKoala: Thank you guys. It really does help knowing that others care!

@littleblessings: so sorry to hear that. My mum passed just two months after our wedding last year so I understand the sadness of realising the people we love (our babies included) will never meet on this plain. Big hugs!

I went to a baby expo on Saturday... this is how much free stuff I collected...

@Mrs Music: Holy cow! That is a huge haul of stuff!!! So awesome... As for the clothes from America, it stinks you didn't get to wear them before getting pregnant, but when you do get into them after the baby is born, it will be like receiving a bunch of new presents again!
@littleblessings: I'm sorry to hear about your great grandma, it's always tough losing someone. But I am happy to hear you were able to get a five generations picture - five generations is amazing!!!
@MrsKoala: That's one of the things I love about being TG, just the not knowing and thinking about both genders, fluctuating back and forth on what you think it might be! And then of course the total surprise at the end, so much fun! I can't wait until we all start finding out what our TG babies are!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@Mrs Music: Wow...I need to go to one.
I'm starting to really feel pregnant. I guess where my belly is already so big. I had a rough week at work and I still haven't recovered from it even 2 days of rest later. My back and hips are killing me. DH had to help me wash off in the shower yesterday! I couldn't bend down!
Just really tired and weighed down. I only have 4 more days of work though and I'm off until after baby is born so I'm glad.
nectarine / 2527 posts
@Danizaur: aw well I hope you get your much needed rest then and just relax
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Ree723: You are so right about the wavering back and forth and the not knowing. It is the cool part about being TG. We were thinking we would just be TG for the first and find out for the second but I'm liking it so much that I'm considering being TG for the next baby as well.
@Danizaur: You can make it those 4 days!! I hear you on feeling weighed down. I feel heavy everywhere lately.
