@fairbans: I have faith that everything will be alright. Her first born was 33 weeks when born. As I always say God will never give you more than you can handle.

@littleblessings: it sounds like her medical team has a good plan in place, hope all goes well for your friend!

I saw a new article on swaddling which I think people might find interesting.

@fairbans welcome!!
@Mrs Music: thats why I really like Ergo's new swaddlers! I never liked the swaddles that constricted the hips. Kind of hypocritical to the "dont outward face for long periods" for babywearing. Ergo's swaddles keep the hands up near the heart and a sleep sack-esque for the legs...more natural and makes diaper changes easier at night, no unswaddling!

Anyone's LO punching/kicking them in the crotch? I get it all the time! He punches straight down. Feels so weird. Doesn't hurt yet though!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Danizaur: I get lightning crotch occasionally and I think this might be baby kicking down low. I also get a lot of kicks to the bladder!

Whiner alert!
I'm so tired tonight! Carrying LO (31 lbs) is getting old fast! I think I put her in and out of her car seat too many times. My body feels like its on fire and every step makes me feel like I'm going to birth this baby imminently.

@IcebergMom: I can't even imagine having a toddler while pregnant. More power to you and whine away!

Is anyone else getting quite a lot of pelvic pressure? It's been quite an uncomfortable couple of days... Thought we didn't get this til the late third trimester.
persimmon / 1295 posts
@SweetMamaM: yes! Every step!
@MrsKoala: @raintreebee: thanks ladies. DH is gone for a week to Vancouver so I'm feeling extra tired too! going to the in laws house for lunch today so that will be a nice break!!

In a change of conversation... Anyone splurging on a warm winter coat? I think I need to. Havent find a great one yet and I'll be only able to shop online. Anybody find anything????

Someone is yelling, "mommy where are you" from her crib. have a great day everyone!
grapefruit / 4554 posts
@IcebergMom: how old is your LO? Your LO has 10 pounds on mine and I would whine too!
@SweetMamaM: yes to the pelvic pressure! Sometimes I feel like I'm going to pee my pants from the pressure. Haha one of the joys of pregnancy I guess.

Ugh, I'm behind on this thread....again.
@fairbans: Welcome! Always nice to have another February momma join our ranks!
@Danizaur: Yep, I can feel this one kicking my cervix on occasion as well. I think the baby has turned though as it hasn't happened in a few days, thank goodness!
@IcebergMom: Please don't apologise for having a whinge, it is so, so hard being pregnant with a toddler! And I haven't even had a hard pregnancy so I can only imagine how difficult it is if one is dealing with a lot of pregnancy aches and pains! Hopefully today is a better day!
@SweetMamaM: No pelvic pressure yet but I am getting loads of Braxton Hicks. I never had them with DD so this a whole new, and entirely unwelcome, experience.
My whinge of the day, other than the BH, is that I can't breathe. I'm carrying this baby so high and not being able to take a deep breath just happens to be an awesome side effect of that. That and reflux...
Ah well, 27w 1d now - hello third trimester!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@SweetMamaM: Yup at the end of the day I get it. It's pretty rough.
Just found out this morning a friend from HS lost her baby. She had just announced it a couple of days ago and she was due on my birthday. I'm so saddened for her.

@Ree723: Lots of Braxton Hicks for me, too. I feel like my belly is always super tight and uncomfortable now and I swear I'm drinking gallons of water.
@SweetMamaM: No pelvic pressure yet but a lot of pelvic pain. I have an appointment tomorrow and I'm going to ask what I can do.
@Danizaur:

@IcebergMom: aw poor mommy hope you get some rest.
@SweetMamaM: yeah I get it by the end of the night too sometimes.
@Ree723: I haven't had any BH that I know of but honestly I wouldn't know what to look for if I did but I don't have any tightness or cramp feelings so...
@Danizaur: aw that's sad how far along was she?
@MrsKoala: aw hope it gets better for you

Oh it's so good to know that I'm not alone on the pelvic pressure thing! I did ease it last night by leaning back in our recliner with my legs totally spread eagled - gosh pregnancy is such a sexy time LOL.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@SweetMamaM: I do that every night in bed! I lay on my back and bend my knees and spread eagle! I call it the "butterfly". My husband is always asking me when I'm hurting if I need to "do the butterfly". Lol it looks silly but feels so good!
cherry / 209 posts
@Danizaur: I haven't but my friend gets it alot she says. She's due in Dec.
@SweetMamaM: I don't know if its the same as pelvic pressure but I have constant pain in my ass (literally), my tailbone, my lower back and my right hip. As I type this I am sitting on a donut cushion and have two heat packs on my ass (one for each cheek).

@lavender: she's a tall girl, 2 years, 3 months.
We had a great day today. Camped out at the in laws and let them feed and entertain us! Haha

So I walk about a mile each night from work to the train station, for the past two nights the walk has been so painful from the pelvic/groin issue. I literally limped the last two blocks today and the only relief I got was when I got off the train and into my car and turned the heated seat to high.
nectarine / 2527 posts
@Danizaur: aw that's sad I hope she takes it easy I know how hard that can be.
@lavender: aw poor lady it seems to be hitting us all
pear / 1743 posts
@Mrs Music: oooh I've had the pain in my ass too! I'm splurging on fortnightly pregnancy massages from now until the end of the school year and I am SO grateful that she also massages my butt. I thought I would be weird about it but it feels so much better after!
cherry / 209 posts
@SweetMamaM: going to the chiro like weekly was helping but now I've moved offices he's abit far away. The person I used to see regularly for massages also moved and she's not experienced with pregnancy massage... think I'll start looking up for one... between this pain and my headache I'm miserable.
pear / 1743 posts
@Mrs Music: yeah, I also see the Chiro fortnightly and that relieves the most intense pain, but the massage is really what eases it. Being able to lie on my tummy for an hour (specialty table) is bliss as well!
cherry / 212 posts
@Mrs Music: @SweetMamaM: Yes to the ass pain! For me it's only on one side (the right) and is worse if I've been sitting all day. Yoga helps a little. My DH is a third year osteopathic medical student so I have him treat my pain in the butt when I see him on the weekends and he's not too stressed out. It's awesome. I highly recommend finding a DO. (Bonus points over a chiropractor is that they can give you drugs if necessary too as they're licensed physicians - woot!)

@IcebergMom: Oh my goodness! I hope your IL visit was nice break. A toddler and being this pregnant with a week alone?! Trooper!
And I just got my winter coat delivered today. Love it! I ordered this one from Motherhood because my jackets weren't fitting any more and winters here are some long, brutal months. This should keep me warm and cozy. http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=968640070&MasterCategory_Id=MC8
@SweetMamaM: @Danizaur: Haha, I do silly leg spreads and circles, too. DH thinks I'm nuts, but he has no idea how much better it feels!
@lavender: Sorry you're not feeling very well, that is one long walk! Eek.
@SweetMamaM: I just scheduled my first massage for next week. I cannot wait!
cherry / 209 posts
@SweetMamaM: Booked a pregnancy massage for after work today.. I cannot wait... only 5 hours and 45 minutes to go...
@indi: Looks cosy. I'm glad that winter is pretty much over for us (although its always up and down in Melbourne). Everyone says I'll suffer come summer time but I was born and grew up in hot weather... I can't stand the cold.
clementine / 984 posts
@Mrs Music: I used to say I'd hate being near-due in that 90-100 degree weather we get in the summer, but now I'm not so sure. The high next Tuesday is 28 degrees - my coat got here just in time!

@indi: @Mrs Music: I just saw my masseuse today and she pummeled the crap out of my IT bands. I know it's a luxury but I feel so much better afterwards.
