@SweetMamaM: Maybe I'll have a poll for the TGs to see what the fabulous February moms are predicting.
ETA- Go vote!! http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/what-sex-do-you-think-the-feb-tg-babes-will-be
@Ree723: Thanks! We are just over the moon!
@Danizaur: I serious luuurrrvve the yoga ball I stole from the IL's basement (it's been there untouched for years). I rock and roll and stretch on it all evening before bed. I may even look for a matte black or grey one for work because my back and hips kill by the end of the day. @SweetMamaM:, you should totally get one.
@IcebergMom: Steaming the curtains?! You're a champ. I'm waiting for that domestic side to kick in. But I did clear out the spare room now and posted my big desk for sale, so we made huge progress for the nursery, thanks to my mom being here and handing me a new box to sort any time I looked like I had free time. LOL.
@citymouse: Glad the labs came back clear! And no worries, my nursery planning right now is at the level of "this is the crib and changing table set I like." The end.
@Mrs Music: Oh no! Feel better soon!
I've only gained 10lbs since we started seeing our OB, buuut I was easily up an extra 5 from my regular weight since we found out on the last day of vaca that we were pregnant. Believe me, mama was eating for two before she knew it because fresh seafood was just. too. good!
So for you gals w/ anterior placentas (we do have a bunch on here!), is anyone dealing w/ placenta previa? Having to schedule a c-section was something I was nervous about, but our u/s showed that we're good to go for a vaginal delivery. *Lord, give me strength*

@indi: no placenta previa here - placenta is riding high and slightly to the left it would seem, which is funny because it means that the kicks/punches I feel tend to be down by my groin!
pear / 1531 posts
@SweetMamaM: mine too!
As far as weight gain, I am outpacing everyone. 16 lbs at 22 weeks. Yikes. I'm thin to begin with but we have been so worried about baby's growth that I haven't been paying that much attention to what I'm eating. I do walk four miles every day. Oh well.
Went and picked out nursery furniture yesterday. Well order it assuming the next two ultrasounds go ok (one this week and then one two weeks after). Fingers crossed!

@indi: no placenta previa here either and vaginal delivery looks good so far@
SweetMamaM: I feel everything down low
@raintreebee: fx crossed and prayers sent for you and LO
As for furniture we got the crib/changing table all his bedding, mobile, soother, curtains, wall decorations, bath tub, hamper, a few clothes and I'm ordering his bassinet next week but we got to find his dresser, a glider, we plan on putting a 32" TV in the room too and a few other things but it's coming I'm so excited!

Ooof. Just found some brand new angry stretch marks on my upper, inner thigh. Showed DH...his face was so funny.

@indi: I had placenta previa with my first, it cleared up and I was ok for vaginal delivery. Don't have it this time!
I'm 23 weeks now so maybe I've gained more, but at my last appt at 21.5 weeks, I was up 1 pound. I started up a little from my last pregnancy, because I know how sick I get and purposely left a little cushion. Glad I did because gaining has been difficult.
I swear the amount of pressure with a second baby is intense. I have literally felt ready to push a few times. I never felt that with my first until I actually was ready to push! Any of you second time mommies feel this way?
And I can't remember who first brought up the yoga ball, but oh my gosh it was my FAVORITE thing in labor! I labored most of my active labor in the hospital, swaying and rocking on it and I much preferred it to standing, walking, etc. Highly recommend it!

Im glad everyone loves their yoga balls. I can already tell a difference. Just sitting on it compared to the couch instantly makes my back feel better.

We started our Bradley class last night and now after that an reading all of this I am so excited to get our exercise ball!!

@citymouse: Glad that the blood work is looking good! Hoping those cysts just go away! But it is really interesting to me that the machines have gotten so high tech that so much can be seen that we don't understand. I guessed boy for you as well but only because you are all bump!!
@indi: No placenta previa here, thankfully! Mine is anterior but very high apparently, which is probably why I only feel movements and kicks very low.
@Mrs Music: I love the Tardis cake!! And the fakeout with all the blue and then the pink teddy bear. Adorable!
In terms of weight gain, I'm up 4 lbs from pre-pregnancy but I lost 6 in the first tri so my overall gain is 10 so far. No one has had a problem with my very slow weight gain so that's good but I do worry that it could be a problem later.

Hey Feb Mamas! I’ve been a lurker on here since I got my BFP. I’m always paranoid about jinxing something so I’ve been quiet. Due date is Feb 24 – and we were told last week that it’s a little girl. We have a DS who just turned 2. I also have an anterior placenta so not feeling as many kicks this time has been bizarre. I’ve enjoyed following along all your conversations and decided it’s a great time for me to jump in!

@theknest: Congrats on your little girl and welcome!! Never too late to join in!
nectarine / 2527 posts
@MrsKoala: you know now that you mentioned it I forgot I did loose 3lbs during the beginning of the second tri so I actually gained 7lbs
@theknest: congrats on the girl and welcome it's always nice to add another feb mom

3 days straight now and T is back to having a luau in my belly. He's moving SO much. I've felt him quite a few times from the outside but nothing for DH so far. He's not patient enough. But I'm loving feelin him move so much.
Earlier he gave a small kick and I put my hand gently where he kicked and he kicked me again. So awesome.
Im also feeling the kicks at my stomach level now. Pretty high up from my belly button.

@theknest: Yay! Welcome to the group. And with your presence, the girls take the lead!
@Danizaur: So sweet! DH hasn't felt much yet, either (other than one 'was that a kick?' thump). He wants to wait a week or two for when she's stronger. But LO plays back and forth with me sometimes, too! I think we were up to 6 the other day. So fun!

@theknest: hi! Welcome! We are due date twins. I'm also the 24th and have a 2 year , 3 month old!

OMG. Got new stretch marks on the inside of my thighs. They hurt too and are angry red. I'm going to be a tiger before the end of this pregnancy with all of my pre pregnancy stretch marks too.

@Danizaur: I JUST posted this same thing yesterday a few comments up, haha! I feel ya girl!! Im going to try some Vitamin E oil massage to keep it moisturized.

Thanks for the welcomes!
@icebergmom - yay! Has your 2YO grasped the fact that there will be a baby in the house soon? My guy doesn't really get it - or he does, and he just doesn't care. I need to find some books or something to help prepare him.

@theknest: I think she finally gets it! This weekend we had lots of family around and everyone was repeating to her about having a little brother or sister and she's mentioned it now to me out of context a few times. So it's stuck! But I don't know if she knows it's not a doll. Lol

@Danizaur: Try Mother's Special Blend toning oil. I know it won't completely prevent stretch marks, but it will help keep your skin moisturized, and may make them fade faster. I personally swear by the stuff, used it last pregnancy and only got a few marks on my boobs, that are completely faded now. This time, none so far.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@erinpye: I'll check it out. I'm prone to stretch marks, so I'm not dumb enough to believe I wont get them but I want to do all I can. Lol

@Danizaur: I think most smart women know it's unfortunately a lot to do with genetics, but truly, that oil is soooo nice. A little pampering (that's good for your skin) is good for your soul when prego

This is embarrassing, but are anyone else's breasts leaking? Mine are a little, about the size of a nickel-quarter a day, and just the left side.
WEIRD.
clementine / 984 posts
@citymouse: I have been for 4 weeks now. :-o Thankfully, it's only really at night/in the a.m., so my bras aren't taking the brunt of it yet. It started out clear for the first few weeks, but now it's yellowish colostrum. 18 more weeks until someone can make use of it. LOL.

@citymouse: @indi: my workmate said this usually happens in subsequent pregnancies...
You guys freaked me out... I'm gonna have to keep an eye out now!
persimmon / 1116 posts
@indi: Yes! It's been about two weeks for me now. Mine is clearish-yellow.
@Mrs Music: Innnnnteresting! This is my first, but that makes me nervous for future kiddos!

@Mrs Music: Bah! More next time?! DH is already making "I have nipples, Greg..." and "get the Oreos" jokes. Boys *facepalm*
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@citymouse: So weird you should ask. I experienced it for the first time this morning. I was like "Is this wet? OMG my boob are wet!!" Just the right side. It was clear and a very small amount.

@citymouse: @indi: @Mrs Music: @Danizaur: no leakage here yet but the last couple of days my nips have been annoyingly tingly

Ugh I had a friend just give birth to a baby girl 2 days ago and ever since seeing her pictures of her and everything I have just been DYING to hold my baby and see him. I'm ready for him to be here...but at the same time not ready. I haven't even decided what kind of diaper he's going to wear.
nectarine / 2527 posts
@Danizaur: I'm the same way my friend just had her baby two days ago and it makes me wish feb would just come on already lol but I don't want to rush it either and have him come to early ugh patience

DH FINALLY felt the baby kick today! Twice in a row. I'm so excited!! He was resting his hand on my belly and I felt a huge kick right where his hand was. I didn't get too excited since he's kicked DH right in the hand before and he didn't feel it, but this time he looked at me. I was like "You felt that?"
He said "That wasn't you?" I said nope!
He was thrilled. I cried a little and he called me a baby. Lol
Tomorrow is DH's birthday too so it timed out great.

Just did my first Mama Pilates class - feels so good to be getting back into the regular exercise swing of things although I have a lot of ground to make up before getting back to my pre-preg fitness!

@Danizaur: So cute! Still waiting for definitive kicks - lots of movement but still no kicks to share.
Also getting a little of the leaky boob thing, just on one side, and clear.
I'm using BioOil and Earth Mama Body Butter (both were gifts) for stretch mark "prevention" (hah) - they smell so good I want to eat my belly
