@SweetMamaM: I'm pretty sure my sister has this one...she keeps telling me she will let me borrow it but keeps forgetting. She's a new mom so I can understand...but I'm getting tired of sleepless nights! Lol

@Danizaur: I'm still not sleeping as well as I used to, but definitely better than earlier this week.

Our list is completely updated!
5 boys
5 girls
6 TG
That is until we start popping out babies...
I will probably repost the list every few pages or so until babies start arriving.

@Danizaur: YAY! Can't wait for Mrs. Music's news...and then we wait for the arrivals! Glad we're past the half-way mark!

@Mrs Music: OMG! How'd you find out?? I'm so excited! Ahhh!!
I edited and added the update to the list at the top of this page.

@Mrs Music: yay congrats I kinda felt it would be so the list could balance out!
@Danizaur: I love your list

@Danizaur: any guesses on what you think our Team Green babies will turn out to be?
@Mrs Music: congrats on your sweet little girl!

Thanks everyone. DH always knew it would be a girl from the beginning so it was great to finally confirm it. Went to Costco afterwards and was hoping to buy this 'Daddy's little girl' jumpsuit I saw last week but couldn't find it anymore!

Just came back from my checkup and have gained 6 pounds and baby is measuring on target with a heart beat of 156 bpm. At my next visit I get to do my GD testing...I am not looking forward to the drink again!

@Mrs Music: Congratulations on your little girl!!
@lavender: I am really not looking forward to that GD test. I have mine in the first week of November.
grapefruit / 4554 posts
@MrsKoala: my advice is to just chug it...it taste like extremely sweet flattened orange soda.

They haven't even mentioned a GD test to me yet. And if it takes a bit longer than a regular appointment, it'd be nice if they were to tell me ahead of time. At my next appointment I'll be 25 weeks, and in December it'll be 29 already, sort of outside the regular window.
Hmmm, maybe I'll call to clarify if/when I'm having it. If they don't think I need it, though, I don't want to remind them. LOL.
ETA- I called. I guess they just do it w/in your regularly scheduled appointment. *shrugs* Not my fault I have the 4:00pm slot next time. Hope no one has to stay late to do my labs!

@lavender: I had my dr appt yesterday and I've only gained 4 pounds and that's the first gain this pregnancy even tho I have started showing but I'm 22 weeks now and he was all over the place moving and kicking so his heart rate was 164 which it's normally 140's but my appts are usually early in the morning but it was late afternoon yesterday but I have my GD on the 22nd and they scheduled an EKG for me on the 18th for me to make sure everything good even tho I haven't had any heart problems so I guess their just being on the safe side

@indi: @Mrs Music: So thrilled for both of you on your sweet little girls!! How exciting!
And how funny that our list is now evenly split! I predict that out of the six TG babies, we'll have four girls and two boys.....can't wait to start finding out!
@MrsKoala: I actually didn't mind the taste of the GD drink. It just tasted like flat Sprite, mine was ice cold though, I can imagine if it was warm, it would be pretty gross. Also, it's not a very big drink so it's not too bad.
My weight gain is out of control, so grumpy about it! At 23w5d, I am up between 17-20 pounds, depending on the day. Granted, I was pretty thin to begin with but it still makes me grumpy! I did check though and with my LO, I did the same thing - gained nothing in the first tri, loads in the second, and hardly anything in the third, so I'm hoping that happens again this time. Last time I gained 32 and I'd like to keep it the same this time.
I've got my 24 week appt on Wednesday and am looking forward to hearing bubby's heartbeat! I don't know why, but I just have this crazy fear this time that this baby is going to come early. I have no idea why I think that, but I can't shake that thought. A week or two early would be ok, but hopefully not more than that! Ah pregnancy hormones and the crazy worries!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@MrsKoala: I'm dreading it. I'm super picky and sensitive about tastes and textures. I don't know if I could make myself do it if I found it gross. I go back to the dr on the 22nd and I think at my appointment after that I'll do the GD test. Ugh

@Danizaur: I don't remember the texture being terrible. It's just intensely sweet.

@IcebergMom: Good. For some reason I just picture it as thick/grainy. Like pepto bismol or another stomach medicine.

Got a yoga ball today. Mostly wanted one to bounce around on but after getting on it I can already tell it'll help my hip and back pain.

@Danizaur: hahaha not at all! I remember it being like this drink mcdonalds used to serve - this sickly sweet orange drink.

I bought nursery curtains today! Yay! Spent an hour steaming them. That nesting instinct is so strong!!!

@IcebergMom: I just ordered mines last night they should be here Friday I can't wait

@Honeygold89: a lot of anterior placentas in this month group! I wonder whether we're higher than average? I'm also a slow gainer (2 kg up from pre-preg weight) but I was overweight to start with so I'm not terribly worried.
@Danizaur: I've thought about getting a yoga ball, let me know how it works out for you
@Ree723: popular opinion says boy for me, so I might be taking one of those boy slots! We'd be equally happy with a girl though!
nectarine / 2527 posts
@SweetMamaM: yeah I was too so in the beginning I was so worried about gaining too much but now I'm happy that's its been going to slow that way I won't have much to loose afterwards
@Ree723: I think it's gonna be more girls or either even out
cherry / 212 posts
@SweetMamaM: @Honeygold89: Another anterior and slow gainer here! Last appointment I finally made it back to pre-preg weight. (I have a little extra padding though so we're not worried yet :P)
cherry / 209 posts
@SweetMamaM: turns out my placenta is at the back not the front like I thought. I've gained 11 pounds already and I'm about to hit 21 weeks. I can see my belly button getting shallower and shallower and have already resigned myself that it might pop out and that I am as big as my friend who is 2 months ahead of me in this journey.
grapefruit / 4554 posts
@OldEnglandMama: @Honeygold89: also have an anterior placenta as well, funny b because I had one with my first pregnancy as well!

Wanted to update a bit on the Cysts... We had the blood work done and everything came back normally. The nurse said that doesn't rule out *everything* but it's a good sign. We have our next US on the 22nd, to see if the cysts have changed. The midwife said that we are still figuring out what is normal, and that our machines are so advanced we see a lot of things that we don't know enough about yet. She said in other countries they don't even tell women if they see cysts because they are so common. So, that is the cyst update!
Since others are sharing weight gain... I have gained 10-12, depending on the day. Im feeling good about that number. I was heavier than I would have liked (not overweight, but on the higher end of healthy) when we got pregnant, so I am hoping to gain no more than the "recommended" amt. I know each woman's body is different though, so definitely keeping a good attitude about it!
Also, why is it SO HARD to plan out a nursery? I cannot decide which direction we should go!!
persimmon / 1116 posts
Oh! And, every SINGLE person says we are having a boy. Literally not one person has guessed girl. DH and I think its a girl, although now I am wavering bc the Baby's HB went down a little at our last appt!

I think I have food poisoning. Have been having upset stomach for the last three days. At the doctors now to make sure everything is ok. Think it should be as LO has been moving around quite abit.

Oh also. DH and I had our birthday party on the weekend. Our theme was blue to match our cakes so everyone was guessing boy but this is how we announced the gender... (My Tardis cake. I love Doctor Who)

@citymouse: Great news!
So far I've gained 16 pounds as of my last appointment...probably more now. She says that I'm gaining right on track...so that's a relief. Although I don't see how. Lol
I'm struggling with my nursery too. I'm just ready for it to be DONE.
My guess is a girl!
nectarine / 2527 posts
@citymouse: that's good hope they keep looking up for lo
@Mrs Music: that's a cute cake

@lavender: I hated the GD test last time too. It made me shaky and I felt so sick. Needless to say after my blood was drawn I went straight for healthy snacks and water! Lol. I wish everyone luck with their GD tests.

@Danizaur: Yoga balls are amazing. I have had one for years. They help with everything, even the progressing of labor. I used the ball when I was in labor with my first. Went to bed and woke up to my water breaking.
@citymouse: Cysts are a normal thing. I know a lot of women who's babies had cysts. They cysts eventually went away before birth most of the time.
