We are all around halfway through our pregnancies! Woohoo!
So I figured I would start a board to share our nursery themes, designs, and ideas. Maybe even pictures? And we can update our progress along the way.
What's everyone's status?

I've been planning T's nursery ever since we found out he was a boy!
Colors: Navy, yellow, gray
Theme: Small deer themed accents
Progress: we have his nursery walls painted navy, doors painted white, and have his crib and dresser ordered. I also ordered my glider today!
My wonderful grandma is making his bedding but I've been stressed out trying to pick out the fabric. Deer printed fabric is hard to come by and it's expensive when you do! She's helping out a lot though!

Planning a safari/nature theme for H since its a boy. DH loves hunting so camouflage is a must.
My crib is a lighter wood tone and my matron of honor is buying his bedding. Camo. lol.
Also figuring out S's nursery since she will have her own room when we move. Hers will be pinks and purples. even some blues.
Im not stressing though because my Aunt is throwing me a baby shower since I never had one for S.

Doing a gender neutral exotic/jungle animal themed nursery. I think we are doing gray, white & teal as our colors. I wish we had the actual room figured out though. We have two small bedrooms that we could use but we have thought about knocking down the wall between them to make a big master suite and use our current bedroom as the nursery. DH needs to make a decision.

@MrsKoala: We considered doing the same thing! Maybe if we had done it before I got pregnant. It would be too much work now! We just decided to use one of the little rooms. Good luck!

@Danizaur: Do you have an older house, too? We have 5 bedrooms but all very tiny in a 1490 sq ft house! I'm inclined to just use a small bedroom and keep our room the way it is but DH is ambitious and thinks we can make the change easily. I'm skeptical.

We're doing a gender neutral animal themed nursery.
We rent so there's not a huge amount that we can do in terms of painting and drapery, so most of the hints are going to come through in decor.
Our main colors are green, yellow and grey with some peeks of bright colours.
DH moved the things out of our guest room (the guests get the weeny room now) this weekend and the few things we have for the nursery are sitting in there... Although the flatpack furniture is still in boxes

Wow! @danizaur: you are so ahead of us!! We only have a few onesies
We are Team Green, so planning a gender neutral room. No themes. We both wanted it to feel airy, playful, and fun. Its more a kids play room feel than nursery. Here are some of our inspiration colors, pics...
We *may* have just found our dresser/changing table on Craigslist. FX!

@MrsKoala: Nope! Our house was built in 2001. It's just a small 1100 sq ft house. I would be skeptical too. Lol

@citymouse: Love it!!! I'm a planner. These are the kind of things I live for! Except picking out the fabric is stressing me out.

@citymouse: Where is the alphabet animal print from??? I love it and I think that would go really well with our theme!

Everybody ideas sound great
So we're going with a lion king theme I orders his bedding today and we already have his crib/changing table picked out I'm just waiting in DH to get the shed and clean out the guess room so we can start putting everything together and in place. I don't want to paint the room so it'll stay white for now.

@Honeygold89: Cute!! DH and I honeymooned in Disney World and stayed in the Lion King themed resort. The Lion King has a special meaning for us. We have similar stuffed animals like on the nightstand in the picture on our dresser.

@Danizaur: aw that's cute I love lion king I'm a late 80's baby so I grew up watching every lion king movie there was

@citymouse: Love your inspiration pics! We're Team Green too (hopefully...scan is on Monday fingers crossed the tech has no slip-ups/baby doesn't move "things" into view).
We will also be in a rental so no big plans. The room that I think will be the nursery has duck-egg blue walls and hardwood floors. We'll be doing everything on a pretty tight budget so we'll see what happens! (I can window shop still though :))

We are team green with a lovely aqua/grey/yellow themed spare room that won't change much except for the addition of crib! The room is big so it will easily convert and we'll leave the queen bed in the room for nighttime nursing for me if my husband is on-call for his work (ER) and needs sleep.
I think I'll just find some cool prints on etay and add a but of an animal theme too. My LOs room has elephant and tree decals that I love but 2nd baby is going to just have framed art, I think.

@OldEnglandMama: we have An ultrasound tomorrow too! Also hoping for no visuals!

If anyone could find me some deer printed fabric...I would marry you! We are putting little deer themed accents in his nursery and I wanted to do his bed skirt in a deer pattern (navy, red, gray). So far the only ones I've found are either sold out or crazy expensive!! Ugh!

@Danizaur: have you tried amazon? http://www.thefind.com/crafts/info-deer-fabric

I have no idea what I am doing for LO's room yet. I LOVED how LO #1's nursery came out and I am stumped for #2. But I want something that flows with #1's room, and her's is:
LO #1 has a periwinkle color on the walls with green and yellow accents and her bedding is a bumble bee/dragon fly theme

@Honeygold89: I exhausted every lead on etsy. i hadn't checked find.com but I just did and...nada. Ugh!!

@citymouse: Thanks! That first one was my original choice...but it's $20 for a half yard...which is nuts!
The last one though...I found it on etsy but the seller was sold out! I'm definitely going to check and see if they have enough. I'll be so excited if they do! Thanks so much!!

@MrsKoala: Ooh, I love those colors. We'll be finding out next week (gaaah, next week already!) but I loathe pink, so your color scheme sounds right up my alley!
Our nursery is in the process of getting cleared out. It was our second bedroom/spare room, so it was FULL of my old stuff in boxes and a futon for guests, as well as my big desk. I've been cleaning like a fiend this week, and I'm hoping that by the end of this week I'll have everything out of there and have my big, gorgeous desk cleared off for pictures to sell it online. *tear* But making room for baby is exciting. We're also getting a full-sized bed from DH's parents to put in there, which will help for night nursing as well as a place for guests to sleep on visits (we'll just bring baby into our room). So exciting!

Here is the stuff I currently have on my list to buy. The walls in the room are a sort of yellowish taupe with white trim. I don't think we will bother to paint.

@IcebergMom: We had success! Healthy baby and no unwanted surprises from the nether regions DH got to nerd out naming all the heart bits he recognised - I think he had a lot of fun. Hope yours went well too.

@OldEnglandMama: it did! Thanks!!! We kept the gender hidden and my hubby and the tech also talked shop the whole time! Too funny. I'm measuring exactly 19 weeks just like we thought!

We have so much to do for the nursery, everytime I step in there I get overwhelmed. It was previously our office/guest room so I'm working on getting everything out of there, it's a mess!
I don't think I will do a theme but leaning towards aquas, light pink, and green for colors. This thread makes me realize I better get a jump on it!

We finally got the last few coats of paint done and my glider came in so we cleaned up the room and started placing the furniture. Here's what we have so far. That bookshelf took 4 coats of paint!!!!!! But it turned out good and now we don't have to buy one! Crib and dresser should arrive in a couple of weeks. The room is so tiny. Lol
I put his stuff out on the bookshelf for now just to get it out of the bags and closet so we could see it! 99% of that stuff is gifts from his auntie who is already spoiling him. The backpack has his first and middle name on it so I had to put a sticker over it.

@Danizaur: looks great, you are making awesome progress!! @MrsKoala: I am far behind too!

@Danizaur: Looks awesome so far!
@MrsKoala: @Springtime: Ha, me, too. If I took a photo of our baby's nursery today it would look like a room of things ready for the flea market. I NEED to clean. LOL.

@Danizaur: aw that is a nice color that's close to the color we went with on the outside of the house when we painted six months ago. I just went in looked in the room and realized we got a ways to go we got to get everything out of there including the bed bookshelf and desk because I don't want any of that in there any more and DH has to touch up the walls with paint cause we're sticking to white. Thank goodness his shed will be put up this weekend so we can empty the room out!
And that's all DH clothes everywhere lol and as you see we have the crib now but will have to wait til after he paints to put it up I'm ready now lol

Here is the dresser we got off Craigslist. I feel like we finally "won" Craigslist. I always am amazed at what others find on there and feel like I never find any gems for a good price. Finally feel like we did!
