@californiadreams: Sorry to hear you're not feeling great. Migraines are the worst - especially when all you can take is Tylenol! Hope the sickness stops soon.
I'm 14 weeks today and my last bout of sickness was a week ago so I'm hoping this is the end of that. I have my anatomy scan booked for Oct. 9 and another appt. in late Sept - but it's just a basic check-in. Totally wearing maternity jeans now for the comfort factor

@fancyfunction: i think as soon the weather here requires jeans, i will go straight to my maternity ones too. Right now i still getting away with maxi and summer dresses and it's great.
grapefruit / 4085 posts
@californiadreams: Yeah, this week will be all dresses since it's supposed to be in the 90's but I can't wait for it to get cooler again too!

@californiadreams: you poor thing!! I hope you feel better soon. Second trimester has been good to me, my only complaint is that I am still so tired.

@californiadreams: how are you feeling now? Hope the worst has passed!
I have my next appt with my midwife next Tuesday, then anatomy scan next Wednesday. I absolutely can't wait! It's been too long since I've heard baby's HB and seen little peanut. I just want to be reassured that everything is going well.
My bump is slowly growing, though some days seems smaller than the day before (hence my worrying), but I'm sure that's just because of what I'm eating.
How's everyone else doing? I forget, who's planning on finding out the sex at the anatomy scan? We're not, team green all the way! Though, recently, I've thought about having them put it in an envelope just so we can look if we want. Haven't run this by DH yet...

I definitely can't wait to find out the genders!! I'm hoping boy girl combo
pea / 9 posts
I found out the gender on September 17th. Everyday is different for us on actually finding out. Some days we want to wait and then some days we are all about finding out. Who knows what will decide the day we go for our scan.
Has anyone else had horrible congestion? I had a cold over a week ago and cannot seem to get rid of the stuffy nose/congested feeling. Ugh!!

@saboma: i am feeling better now, thanks! the migraine went away yesterday after being at work all day ironically. My bump seems to fluctuate in size too however I assume because part of it is still due to bloating and being a "food baby", lol. I am definitely finding out the gender, can't wait!
@sassymama34: i am hoping for the same combo!! I have a boy now, so i want a girl. Which one are you hoping for?
@Bella214: hope you feel better soon! I had a cold at the end of my last pregnancy and it was horrible, it wouldn't go away! I sympathize!

Good morning - Just heard the baby's heartbeat 145 today; same as last time. Anyone else in the same area? So curious what gender this baby is, a lot of people say girl because of the heart rate! We shall see!

@Bella214: Mine is always in the 150s-160s. I would love a girl, but not getting my hope up!
pomegranate / 3411 posts
@sassymama34: oh oops! of course, and we just talked about that on the previous page in this thread, lol!
@Bella214: always exciting to hear the heart beat!

Ladies what do u think im having based on heartbeats? Fun to guess... Im thinkin boy and girl.. Here's the stats: baby a heartrates: 108, 114, 168
baby b heartrates: 122, 188, 182
Would love to hear your predictions and hopefully I'll find out at next appt sept 22!!!
pomegranate / 3411 posts
@sassymama34: i have no guesses, i don't keep up with all the different gender predictors! But I hope you get one of each. Exciting that you know when the appt is. I am waiting until next week for my next midwife appt where I assume they book my ultrasound soon after!

I am laying in bed watching tv and I can feel the baby moving for the first time.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@ms.line: for my first I didn't feel him until 21/22 weeks. Hang in there! If it makes you feel better, I'm huge and uncomfortable already.

@ladybee: I've been feeling baby on and off for a couple weeks, and it's the MOST AMAZING thing!! Last week, was just sitting at work talking to some coworkers, and suddenly baby started doing flips for a few minutes. I love it!
Had another appointment with my midwife this morning. She says everything is measuring on target, heartbeat was strong at 150bpm, and it's normal that I'm feeling movement sometimes but not consistently with baby still being small. Anatomy scan is tomorrow, can't wait to see little peanut!
Hope you all had a great long weekend!
pomegranate / 3411 posts
@ladybee: that's awesome! i feel like i have some felt some movement a couple of times, but i am never really sure. So exciting when you know for sure!
@saboma: good luck at your scan tomorrow! Did you decide if you will get the gender put in an envelope for temptation later on?!

I am wearing maternity pants for the first time today and I don't have a muffin top, i look less pregnant (i.e., less fat), and I am SOO comfortable!
cherry / 105 posts
@californiadreams: I haven't mentioned that to DH yet...should probably talk about it tonight
pear / 1770 posts
@californiadreams: I'm still not in maternity pants yet (although I am wearing old "fat pants" that are one size bigger). I've been wearing maternity tshirts, though, and they're so comfy!
pomegranate / 3411 posts
@ms.line: i can't wait to wear all my maternity shirts too. I love them, but my bump is not big enough for them yet and they would just sag. I am looking forward to having more variety in my wardrobe too because i feel like i've been stuck in the stage where most of my clothes don't fit good, but i am not quite ready for maternity clothes, so i've been wearing the same few dresses every week! So I wore the pants today because why not! It's a change from my same old summer dresses (and it's raining today)
pear / 1770 posts
@californiadreams: Yeah most of my shirts still look way too big, but I felt like a sausage in my regular clothes (my boobs are ridic!). Hopefully everything will start to look cute in October??

ugh, ,my midwife clinic called to cancel my appointment this morning because my midwife had to attend a birth. Totally understandable of course, but i was looking forward to the appt so i could schedule my anatomy scan! I am going tomorrow morning now, fingers crossed i get the scan scheduled soon! I am already 18 weeks, 1 day.
cherry / 164 posts
Oh id be so bummed too about it being cancelled i hope to find out at my next appt on the 22nd! So hard to wait lol... And thank you!
pear / 1770 posts
@californiadreams: Ugh, that's annoying! Do you only see one midwife for all your prenatal care and delivery? At my center, you could end up with any of the 7 midwives at delivery, so they try rotating you through them for prenatal appointments. (I've had the same chick I don't really like for my first two - looking forward to meeting someone new next time!) Hope you're able to get the scan scheduled soon, since you're 18+ weeks and ready to go!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@californiadreams: that's the pits!! I'd want to hurry up and schedule too!
pomegranate / 3411 posts
@ms.line: we are assigned a primary and secondary midwife. so either of them can end up at my birth, with the primary being the first choice if both are available. so i assume they were both busy yesterday.
i went today and heard the heartbeat strong at 155! Midwife said it could mean it's a girl, lol. She is getting my hopes up! And i finally scheduled my anatomy scan for September 18th!!! It still seems so far away!
cherry / 164 posts
So i booked an elective ultrasound for this Sunday to find out genders!! So hoping babies cooperate lol can't wait to know ill be almost 15 weeks

How's everyone feeling? I'm 15 weeks and my nausea has finally subsided. I did feel some round ligament pain which kept me up last night, but other than that, no major issues. I've been wearing my maternity jeans and leggings with regular long shirts recently and they're pretty comfy. Going in for my next appt. 2 weeks from today.

hey all - I'm curious anyone else feeling extremely thirsty all the time? I wake up and feel so thirsty. All I do is drink water all day long but then cannot stop going the bathroom. I hope this isnt a sign for gestational diabetes.
Other than that I'm feeling good, getting a belly for sure! Weird to not fit into my clothes like I used
pomegranate / 3411 posts
@sassymama34: exciting!
@fancyfunction: i feel good except still tired a lot. but i think that is because i don't go to bed early enough and my toddler tires me out. I've stopped needing daytime naps.
@Bella214: i hope that thirst doesn't mean anything significant. I remember being thirsty a lot in my last pregnancy in the third trimester and peeing constantly as a result. It got worse after baby was born and i was breastfeeding!
pear / 1770 posts
@californiadreams: Yay for a good heartbeat! Your anatomy scan will be here before you know it!
@Bella214: I'm very thirsty, particularly in the evening. I end up chugging water before I go to bed because it just tastes so good, but I still wake up with a dry mouth throughout the night. Probably normal!
I'm somehow up 12 pounds at 16 weeks, and I truly don't know where's it going! My boobs and belly are bigger (although I still don't look pregnant), but my arms/hips/thighs seem to be the same. I eat reasonably and I walk every day and do prenatal yoga, barre workouts, and weight training, so I'm a bit frustrated to be packing on the pounds so quickly!
I have my next midwife appointment on the 21st and my anatomy scan on the 29th - both seem so far away!
