@Ergggg: mine is Friday at noon. Work was awful for me too today. Thankfully I'm off Friday and next week, so I had to keep reminding myself, just one more day!

@Tionn3: glad you have an appt for tomorrow!! Hopefully that will help ease worries

@skate13: I've been the same with the constant eating to make the nausea go away ugh. And food doesn't sound good to me at all. It sucks.

Hi ladies,
Just gone 6 weeks now - waves of nausea but nothing like my first pregnancy! I was just wondering when sickness started for all of you?y fingers are crossed I'm a lucky one this round, but also wondering if my Hcg isn't high enough? (I've only had one blood test to confirm pregnancy). Scan at the end of next week.

@Patty86: Nausea started at about 5 1/2 weeks for me and is actually waning now, though a wave will periodically hit me out of no where. I'm 7 1/2 weeks now.

I've hit a milestone - first barf today! Was picking up dog poop. Luckily it was so soon after eating breakfast that it just tasted like cornflakes. Sorry TMI! Hahaha.

Also, today Ovia shed some light on why the nausea seems to be waning. It has daily updates and today's was "The placenta is picking up more and more of the burden of supporting Sprout & Seedling, meaning the hormonal toll could be less for you." So I'm trying not to worry that I don't feel as crappy as I did a couple of weeks ago. Two weeks to go until the next u/s - it can't come soon enough! Then 2 1/2 weeks until we tell my family, I seriously can't wait! But I really want to tell them in person, so I'm waiting.

@dominobee: I actually feel better today too and have been hoping it doesn't mean anything. I bought a home Doppler and tried it last night. I *think* I heard it a couple of times but will try again today. 10w tomorrow! I had a missed MC at 10w in between my two children so I keep worrying about that, even though I know there's nothing I can do either way.

@bushelandapeck: Hopefully you're just in the clear a bit early!!
I still get super full after two bites of food and am tired all the time, so I take those as good signs.

@bushelandapeck: Wow! 10 Weeks!
I don't think I've ever been at the tail end of a birth group, so it's crazy to me that you're so far along when I'm just hitting 6
I'm getting more and more anxious for my appointment tomorrow. It's super rainy here today and it's giving me a sinus headache so I'm pretty miserable to begin with. And I'm getting really sick of a coworker not carrying their weight. I'm so ready to be off and hopefully get good news tomorrow!

@Ergggg: @MaryM: We're appointment buddies. Mine is at 9AM tomorrow. So excited/nervous. I'll be 6w3d.

@MaryM: I was thinking the same thing about being at the end of the month! 3-4 weeks is a huge difference at this point in pregnancy! Hope your headache goes away soon. So miserable
pomelo / 5720 posts
@MaryM: I know! Both of my other two were born in the 8th so I'm somewhat used to being on the earlier end of the month. It does have its perks
@dominobee: let's hope! I've already told DH I'm not doing this again. If it doesn't work out for some reason we are going to count ourselves lucky with the two we already have. I don't want to go through the first trimester again!

Any Pixies fans in this group? Whenever I have a wave of nausea this song goes through my head... I just change the words to "I sail away on a wave of nausea..."
Gotta laugh or I'll cry, haha.

Had my 8 week appointment today. Had another transvaginal ultrasound (and my LAST!) and the baby was still in there measuring 8 weeks 0 days, and we got to hear the heartbeat again! I won't get another ultrasound until the NT test. The midwife reassured me that the subchorionic hematoma was small, it was only 2cm. She said it will mostly likely go away on it's own and won't cause any problems. The spotting has also stopped so that is good too! Got a bunch of information to read over when I get home from work today. So exciting, it finally feels real! I have my next appointment at 12 weeks on 8/4!

My nausea has been so bad that Zofran isn't even helping. I'm a wedding photographer and have a wedding on Saturday, outside in 90 degree heat. Not looking forward to that! How's everyone else coping with work and nausea?

What are your biggest fears/worries going into your first ultrasound? Mine are:
1. Ectopic pregnancy (or molar, blighted ovum, etc.)
2. No heartbeat
3. Twins or triplets (not a fear, just kind of a nervous worry, although I would be happy-just more concerned about health of the babies)

@dominobee: boo for the first barf! I almost always throw up before I've eaten anything, so it's always stomach acid and foam
seriously, it's the worst. Haha. Sorry.
@Tionn3: so glad your appt went well! Glad things are starting to feel more real
@CatchAFallingStar: Thanks for checking in!!

My appt went well!! I liked the dr I met with, and we saw our little tadpole! She said s/he is measuring right on track, and actually two days early, which she said makes sense since I ovulated two days early. So I'm 7w6d today, although she's keeping my due date as Feb 18 for now.
Such a relief to see that heartbeat! I know we aren't out of the woods yet, but it was a big weight off to see that things look okay for now, especially since I was miscarrying this time last pregnancy. One day at a time!

@CatchAFallingStar: ha, was writing a post as you asked! See above

@CatchAFallingStar: my biggest worry was no heartbeat. I think my husband's was twins thankfully for him, there was only one in there!
pear / 1553 posts
@CatchAFallingStar: Those were for sure my fears... though I already knew twins were a possibility so I'd accepted that fact! But triplets would be a WHOLE other story, that would seriously terrify me. Seeing the heartbeat is sooo reassuring.
@tionn3 @theotherstark: Congrats on positive appointments!

@Patty86: the nausea started for me this pregnancy before I even got my BFP I started getting really nauseous all day around four and a half weeks, I think, and then right before six weeks is when I started throwing up. It varies so much by person and pregnancy, though! Some women don't get nausea at all!
pear / 1553 posts
@CatchAFallingStar: Ooof that sounds really rough. I don't have any good advice except stay hydrated and keep little snacks you can munch on like oyster crackers or almonds. Also fruit leather has been good for me, so maybe grab a couple of those to bring with you.

@dominobee: thank you! btw, glad to hear your nausea is at least waning a bit!! when my dr asked what I was doing to control the nausea, I was like, umm, constantly eating?? Haha.
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Tionn3: yay! So glad you had a good appointment!
@theotherstark: woohoo!
@CatchAFallingStar: I have similar fears (minus the multiples) about no heartbeat or something genetically wrong. My first ultrasound is also our NT scan and we had some soft markers for DS with my son (he's perfectly fine) so I have that in the back of my mind too.

Well, the baby is there and has a heartbeat! Measuring 7w and I thought I was 7w2d so behind a bit but within the margin of error. OB didn't measure the heart rate but said it looked good, she estimated 130-140. Another ultrasound in 3 weeks on the 25th, and we'll do the genetic screening then so we will find out gender early.... maybe in time for my birthday (august 6th). Dr was great and I was reminded how much I think I'll get along with her.

And... I passed a clot. Called my doctor to see if we can meet him at the ER. Otherwise, I won't sleep tonight

@MaryM: delurking to say I'm sorry, that's so unsettling. Waiting is so hard, especially after previous losses. Hoping nothing more happens and you can get in tomorrow and see all is okay - just an SCH or something. Hugs.

@MaryM: ack! At least you already have an appt tomorrow so you'll for sure get to see someone about it soon. Thinking of you!
