Hey Nov 2012 Mamas!

    @kml636: Definitely noticed she doesn't kick anymore really, just wriggles.

    @highwire: Congrats on full term, yay!

    @PrincessBaby: When is your induction date again? One of my favourite things this past few months has been watching lots of bees that were on the six month and more and infertility boards on weddingbee finally have their babies and become mamas, I love it! So glad so many of us are realising our dreams!

    Today I went and got a haircut and FINALLY a pedicure - I had to check the girl in the salon could cope with swollen feet and nails that hadn't been touched for months though, poor girl! Felt so much better though and the massage really helped the swelling. Three days until I get to meet baby!!!

    What's everyone else up to this weekend?

    @ChelseaRose: Congratulations! Glad that you guys are going home soon. I hope recovery is going well!

    I had the "show" this morning so looks like it's going to be any day now...

    @travelgirl1: Omg you only have 2 days left! I am so excited for you! I get induced on Dec 2nd...They'll put me in the hospital on Cervadil that night, and I guess start the "Big Girl" drugs on Dec 3rd? I cannot wait! And yes, I am so glad there are so many of us who went from troubles ttc to healthy pregnancies and babies! It's so weird that at this time last year I was banging my head against a wall and throwing fits when AF showed, and now I'm just a few weeks away from meeting our Baby Girl!

    hi ladies. i'm still lurking and checking on how everybody is doing! so excited that you guys are all so close. things are going well here. i find breastfeeding to be really stressful although thankfully (knock on wood) i have not had any major problems yet. finding the right position for baby was a little bit of a struggle - she didn't like the cross cradle hold at all, but she likes the football hold and occasionally will do the reclining position. anyway, i naively thought bf-ing would be this magical bonding time, but i'm finding it to be more of a chore than anything. well, its still the first week...second actually, so hopefully i'll enjoy it more as time goes on.

    baby had jaundice and looked so yellow like a little banana. she had to be admitted to the hospital again on Day 4-5 and did the little baby tanning bed thing. she was so miserable for 5 hours and screamed because she couldn't see anything with her little eye mask on and because it was cold, and she loathes being cold and naked! it was a painful night because we couldn't pick her up or anything. but she is doing better now.

    @ChelseaRose: how's everything going with baby at home?

    My next appt is on tues am at 38w2d according to dating scan or 38w4d according to my o day.

    Got four hrs of sleep last night. Made myself run some errands w my mom today and now I'm laying down. The wait begins!

    @travelgirl1: Hope you enjoyed that pedicure! I've got appointments booked for hair/nails/waxing etc. coming up but I booked them for as close to my due date as possible so that they will last through more of the newborn phase

    @mrsjyw: Eep! Exciting.

    @JessLC: Thanks for the update!

    @clery: Good luck!!

    I have been bursting with energy this weekend. I don't know if is nesting/hormone related or thanks to my iron treatments I've been getting or a combination of both. We finished the nursery yesterday, I cooked a meal for a bunch of guests that all randomly wound up at my house Saturday night, and I feel really alert and lively (even though I've been sleeping terribly). Thankful for the energy either way!

    @Clery: How exciting!!!! Were you surprised when you saw it?

    @Mrsjyw: So exciting for you too! Are you feeling any better today?

    I started having some definite "sensations" last night, although I am not really sure yet if they were real contractions. There was a tightness that resembled a menstrual cramp, but different to any of the other contractions I have been feeling the past few weeks or so. I have also had some increased lower back pain today and am feeling like my body might be getting ready for something exciting!

    I ran a ton of errands this morning (yes, I am nuts, I should be lying down) and feel like I am in good shape, should Baby decide to make his or her arrival soon. I can't believe that I'm due tomorrow!

    The cramps have been constant since 2am last night. But not contractions that are timeable. Im so confused but since I'm not in unbearable pain, I'm waiting it out.

    It's all over my belly menstrual like cramps and I still get the occasional bh contraction on top of it

    All a waiting game now....

    Thanks for the support ladies. Id respond individually but I'm laying down uaing my phone and the reply function isn't workong well

    hey ladies, i haven't been on hellobee in forever, but i find weddingbee pregnancy boards way too slow these days, LOL. And now that i found this November thread, i see where some of the WB November 2012 bees have disappeared too! So i thought i would join this party late.

    My due date is November 6th! 2 days! I've had no signs so far though and I am still working full time - hoping to go until November 9th actually so I qualify for a paid leave from my job. Wish me luck! I'll go back and read some of the old posts so i can get to know all of you that aren't on WB.

    @PurpleUnicorn: Welcome! Yeah that thread over there isn't nearly as active but I try to pop in there now and again. Hope you make it until the 9th! My due date is the 23rd and I'm working until the 16th...

    @Mrsjyw: I'm so sorry that it's been another cramp day for you. I actually found that getting up and about, which I know you did too, helped a bit. Don't you just love the waiting game?!

    @PurpleUnicorn: Welcome, too!

    @highwire: that's so smart to take the week off. I so wish i didn't have to work this week, only reason i am is because i just started this job mid-August and i need to work 13 weeks to qualify for the paid leave, so it will be totally worth it if i can do it. Definitely for my next pregnancy, assuming i am still at the same job, i will take the last two weeks off before my due date!

    @PurpleUnicorn: welcome! Keep those legs closed for 5 more days lady!! Paid leave will be great!

    @PurpleUnicorn: my leave is scarcely paid (two weeks of it are but that's it)...I should probably work up to my due date but I think 39weeks is a decent compromise lol. And I need to get those last few checks!

    @highwire: Glad to hear that you had a burst of energy! Things have slowed down for me considerably the past couple of weeks.

    @PurpleUnicorn: Welcome! And I hope that you make it to the 9th!

    @mrsjyw: I hope you had a good day running errands. Did that today and it helped keep my mind off things. Now, i'm just waiting to see what happens and trying to stay calm.

    @Meggo5: How exciting for you as well! I was a little surprised because it was at 5 am but I'm glad that I was able to get back to sleep. It is definitely a waiting game now... my midwife told me to go to bed early tonight just in case contractions start in the middle of the night.

    Still not having painful contractions but definitely a lot more braxton hicks kind of tightening.

  24. mrsjyw

    GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts

    @clery: i'm right there with you mama! the cramps started to subside a lil bit last night and i got some decent sleep! now it's just the waiting game!

    @Meggo5: ugh, this waiting game is driving me bonkers!

    @PurpleUnicorn: welcome!!! :D:D

    thank you all for your support! so i got home after running errands and laid down for a bit yesterday. then got up the motivation to get my work project squared away, and i'm not sure if it was the mental distractions, but the cramps let up a lil bit after that. i ate and went to bed and slept for most of the night.

    of course the latest worry has been that i haven't felt him move as much since the cramps stopped and i've been trying to avoid dr.google like the plague.

    just trying to take it easy today, the cramps aren't as bad as the other night/day but they're still there. i have a feeling this is going to be a long two weeks!

    @mrsjyw: @Meggo5: @clery: How are you feeling? Still crampy or has it kicked up a notch? Hope you all got some rest last night!

    Today's my only day of mat leave before (hopefully) I have my c section tomorrow. Sooooo excited! Lots to do today though, still haven't packed that hospital bag!

    @travelgirl1: not as crampy today, but now overly obsessive about his movements... just playing the waiting game! go into see ob for my weekly tomorrow! DH is coming with me, so I think I'm going to have a cervical check to see progress, even though I was going to skip it this wk!

    hey everyone, thanks for the warm welcome!

    @travelgirl1: i was wondering what happened to you! we should definitely plan a baby date once our LOs are here and we are off work, since the pregnant bee meetup never worked out. And I haven't kept up with you in a while, so I didn't know you were having a scehduled c-section - how come that is?

    So many exciting things happening for everyone!
    and welcome @purpleunicorn

    I'm checking in as today is "D-Day" and I'm sitting at work
    But I just reassure myself with the fact that my midwife said it's average for first-time-moms to be 10 days past their due date. I seriously hope this girl doesn't wait that long but I 'm comforted that this is 'normal' and those who get to meet their babies earlier or on time are lucky
    It's getting REALLY HARD not to be pissy towards people who are well-meaning and asking if 'you've had that baby yet' though. They are just excited and I'm trying very hard to be gracious and not snippy back to them. After all, they're just asking once - not thinking about the 20 other people who have asked the me the same thing already today...

    Good luck tomorrow @travelgirl1! And happy thoughts to my other due date triplet @mego5

    @highwire: ugh, me too! There were SIX of us who got brunch every month while we were pregnant and I am the last pregnant lady standing. I was always due last, but only by a week or so. And part of me thought that I might not be last just because babies come whenever they want so if I went early or on-time, or even a little late I still had a chance at not been the last one. No dice though. Everyone's had their babies for weeks at this point.

  37. lindseykaye

    pear / 1992 posts

    @highwire: HAHA I totally have! .
    I also shared a photo on my Facebook earlier today from Clerks with "I'm not even supposed to be here today"... which is so appropriate considering all the nonsense that is happening around the lab that I wish I could just not be involved in.

  38. immabeetoo

    honeydew / 7687 posts

    @highwire LOL love that, hadn't seen it before.

    @lindseykaye boo for questioning! hope that baby shows up soon. I told my husband first time moms usually go to at least 41 weeks and he was taken aback - every night he gets home he tells my stomach to hurry it up and I'm only 37 weeks

  39. immabeetoo

    honeydew / 7687 posts

    Also, we're in our apartment until after the baby is born as I've said (bemoaned) before... and our upstairs neighbors moved out! We weren't friendly with them - they were incredibly loud at night, so I'm glad they are gone... but at the same time now nervous about who might move in! What is they are worse! Ugh. Hopefully I'll be so tired I won't even notice.
