@scg00387: Oh not in awhile! Hope things are progressing for them!! Exciting.

@highwire: That sucks! I'm sorry. I hope you can find something out soon.
@scg00387: I was thinking the same thing, hopefully they are having their babies!
I personally think I'm going nuts... I keep telling myself I'm only 40 weeks and 4 days and that's normal. I'm just not a patient person.

Dr's today. Baby "failed" the NST -- maybe sleeping? Ended up doing a biophysical profile (BPP), and the baby passed that no problems. Everything looks good, though nothing is happening! Apparently my doctor doesn't do numbers, but she said she "could get one finger in" and I'm still long and thick. Sweet. That basically means being 2 days overdue has done nothing. Her recommendations:
1) Evening primrose oil
2) Red raspberry leaf tea
3) Sex
At least I left with a list.

@Mrs. Tricycle: ha I got 'fingertip' as well..sorry there wasn't much progress at your appt! Go have some sex
blogger / pear / 1964 posts
@highwire: At the moment, some items on that list are just more appealing than others . . .
pomegranate / 3225 posts
@Mrs. Tricycle: lol, I don't know about you, but I've been trying those for two weeks now and I'm pretty sick of all of the above! Lol
honeydew / 7687 posts
@mrstricycle did she say where to get the oil/tea?? I was going to ask my OB about those 2 if I make it to my Tuesday appointment (optimism!!) and (uggh easier said than done to the third suggestion, for me at least!)
blogger / pear / 1964 posts
@scg00387: I got both in the natural foods section of Wegmans - our more "upscale" grocery store chain. The EPO is in capsules in the supplement area and the tea was in the tea area.

@scg00387: beeen cramping all day but still no contractions!
@mrs. Tricycle: I've been taking primrose soradically for the last wk or so~ couldn't find red rasp leaf tea!
U name it I've done it! Sex, pineapple, spicy food, bouncy ball, walking, primrose, etc.
AND NOTHING! :(((((
REALLY HOPING NOT TO BE INDUCED NEXT WK
Hope ur all hanging in there!!

@kml636: @highwire: @Mrs. Tricycle: @scg00387: Aw thank you, I love her so much : )
@highwire: That sucks the stand-in doctor's being so vague. I think if your results are serious, someone will call you. But still.... hope they get their act together. Sometimes crying really helps too, hope you feel a bit better about things now.
@scg00387: Oooh, will be checking back to see your progress! I never lost my mucus plug with having the c section, so it's exciting to see how you guys all progress.
@Mrs. Tricycle: You should totally go have some sex! Good luck, it won't be long now!
@mrsjyw: Ahhh I'm sure it won't be long now! We need a new November baby!!!
We're having Ariela's newborn pictures taken tomorrow - so excited! Can't wait to get a headband on all that lovely hair!

1 night of EPO = loss of mucous plug. Actually, no idea if the two are related, but at least something happened.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@Mrs. Tricycle: hoooray!!! I've heard epo is good for women's health anyway so dpuble win!
@travelgirl1: can't wait to see baby girl's photos!!!!

Another night of barely any sleep. Ugh. At least Felicity is keeping me company. DH has permanently retreated to the couch :'(
blogger / pear / 1964 posts
Ha, though DH pointed out this morning that the mucous plug loss was just as likely due to the cervical check he watched me endure (that was not fun, btw). He was kind enough to mention that a finger is nothing compared to a baby's head. Sweet.
blogger / pear / 1964 posts
@highwire: me too! I moved to the guest bedroom at 2:00 AM, and manage to fall back asleep after an hour of HGTV.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
@Mrs. Tricycle: Ha whatever! A fingertip is better than NOTHING. He needs to keep quiet
honeydew / 7687 posts
@mrstricycle yay! and HGTV is saving my sanity lately.
@highwire I went to the guest room at like.. month 3 We only have a queen bed and there is not enough room for both of us + all my pillows. I can't wait to get back in the same bed once I don't need a crane to roll over!
I am determined this is the weekend for labor... hoping that this applies to many of us
Anyone doing anything fun? I think we're going to go out to lunch but I can't decide where.. hoping it is our "last meal" as a twosome so I want it to be good!!
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
@scg00387: Laying low this weekend! Have a hair appointment in a few hours...and that is it! I'm hoping I will manage to find a way to get comfortable enough to take a nap at some point. I am so tired.
honeydew / 7687 posts
@highwire fun!! I hope you squeeze in a nap too! I keep trying to convince my husband that rubbing my feet is a labor inducer (which I actually think is true if you know what you're doing) and when he plays along, I usually fall asleep in the middle of it
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
@scg00387: I did foot reflexology earlier this week and then slept like a rock that night, so I definitely think it helps with sleep for sure! I actually have another appointment for a foot massage on Monday, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. DH will not come near my feet if I paid him (won't sleep in bed with me, won't rub my feet, how did I get so lucky???)

@travelingbrit: vaginally - I think orally is recommended earlier in pregnancy?
honeydew / 7687 posts
@highwire whhhat! he needs to buck up! if it is any consolation, mine told me I looked like a penguin when I tried to dance alluringly (apparently it was more of a waddle) and try some horizontal labor induction. ugh.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@Mrs. Tricycle: oooh I took it orally. Need to try vaginally today!!!
pomegranate / 3225 posts
@Mrs. Tricycle: yay! Hope you have some progress soon. I've been inserting vaginally and not sure if its working for me...

Ran errands and walked around for 3+hours. Now off to our last date night! Dinner+breaking dawn2!!!
Get this baby out!!
blogger / pear / 1964 posts
@mrsjyw: oh fun! Hope dinner was good! Did you like Breaking Dawn?
We went to lunch in a resort town and hit up a local jewelers for a push present - love what we picked out, but feeling a little guilty as it's much more than I had anticipated spending - DH was insistent, so ill just enjoy feeling spoiled. Had planned to just hang out until bed,, but ending up going to a 7:30 showing of new James Bond movie. Maybe our last official date?!
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
Another date night here also! Except it was with my BFF. We had dinner and saw Lincoln..
So, I've been having what I guess are BH contractions or something for the last couple of hours. They are spaced really far apart and last for like a few seconds each time. Totally unproductive but good practice I suppose!

@highwire: @Mrs. Tricycle: It sounds like you both had fun nights out! I hope you enjoyed the freedom while you still have it!
One of my best friends came over to meet Weston today. It was great to see her especially because she lives out of state (about 300 miles away). She brought us lunch and we got to hang out for hours just watching tv and talking, which is probably what we would have done even if my little guy wasn't here. My husband kinda wanted to go watch the UFC fight at our friends' house, but didn't want to leave me home alone all night with the baby. He's still too young to bring over for something like that and too young to be left with a babysitter (my parents).

@slr: officially our due date! Hope ur having better luck than me!!
@highwire: ooh wanted to see that too!
@mrs. Tricycle: it was cheesy, happy ending, glad we saw it
Get this baby out!!!!! I can't believe due date is here...
