Still cramping on and off for the last 28 hours but nothing is picking up too much. Slept in 45 minute increments all night which was awful!

I'm still not having any timeable contractions. But apparently my body regenerated and lost a second mucus plug this morning! Hopefully that means something is happening in there!

@mamamoose I've been experiencing similar - this is just the cherry on the "pregnancy has made me the grossest version of myself" sundae. I keep wanting to go " EWWW look at this " to my husband in regards to discharge... but then I remember we're trying to induce the horizontal way and refrain LOL
I've been having 2 contractions an hour for what seems like forever - which I guess is better than them completely disappearing now that I'm awake?? It's 10 AM and I've already fallen back asleep twice after not sleeping well. Yikes.

@MamaMoose: I read about mucous plug regeneration - was hoping that wouldn't happen to me - thought it would be discouraging. Are you holdng up ok with the waiting?
@scg00387: @highwire: you'll get there soon! All this waiting and analyzing and pain is sooooo worth it - even on only a few hours of sleep.

@Mrs. Tricycle: Well this one was VERY different from my first experience. It was much smaller and thinner and it was clear streaked with bright red blood. And I'm continuing to have a lot of mucus come out. So I actually think this may be more like a bloody show and possibly indicate good progress. So I'm trying to be optimistic! I'm getting induced Monday night so either way we know it won't be too much longer. I just need to try to survive my heartburn until then!!! : )

Update from over here: all totally quiet. In laws are getting ready to drive home and will have to drive back again whenever I finally do go into labor.

In pain recovering from episiotomy. Wouldn't be bad but we were discharged yest and I couldn't get to Pharmacy for pain meds. Finally got some this am. Enjoyed tgiving dinner w both grandparents. Then Austin slept from 11-4am ( go figure my last wk of wake up times!) And nursing has been getting btr. Still lots of learning. My mom's staying over so I can get some sleep...
We r headed to pediatrician soon.
Did I mention... my heartburn = full head of hair on Austin?

@scg00387: I can't wait to share photos of our wrinkly old man, but Mr. Tricycle is feeling very protective (he asked our family not to post baby photos on Facebook), so it might be a week or two before any make it onto HelloBee. We're negotiating a feet or hands photo in the near future.
It took us 24 hours to get the breastfeeding figured out (Thankgoodness for nipple shields!), but now that the Trikester is latching well, we can leave the hospital around dinner time.

@mrsjyw: Oh my gosh, your son is sooooo adorable!!! Look at all the hair!!! Glad to hear you FINALLY got some pain meds! It didn't even occur to me that you wouldn't be able to get some because of the holiday! And glad your mom is staying to help out!

@mrsjyw: Glad you got some pain meds and that nursing is getting better.
We have had our own struggles this week with breastfeeding, but I think we are making some improvements now. I think I got lazy and overconfident with latch and position, which resulted in my left nipple getting a little injured (kinda cracked or chewed on) due to a shallow latch. I rested that side for a few feedings, thought it was better, and then hurt it again. I decided to rest that side for longer and only pumped on the left and nursed on the right for a few days. My little guy did really well with taking bottles of breast milk and it doesn't seem like my supply took a hit. I did notice that the pump does not empty my breast as well as nursing does, so it often felt hard/engorged. Today I decided that it was healed enough to nurse on and it hasn't been painful, so I think we are on the mend. Pumping actually wasn't that bad and I was usually able to get 4-5oz in 15-20 minutes of pumping on one side.

@mrstricycle I can totally respect that - I am still waffling on putting pictures online/name online at all... but I love seeing other peoples'
@chelsearose glad to hear pumping isn't that terrible - I have mine all ready but am intimidated by it for sure!

@Mrs. Tricycle: yayyy, BF is such a conundrum. I think we've figured out the latch, but my milk hasn't come in yet and I can't tell if my colostrum is there? ... I feel like I'm feeding him nothing!

Princess Lily is home now!
Her favorite things are breaking out of her swaddle and being held by Daddy! I guess all those extra days she was cooking was really a good thing, because she has latched great from the very beginning. Maybe too good because she wants to nurse 24/7!
She has slept a lot today, hope she will sleep tonight. Last night she wanted to be held all night... We'll see.
