So ladies who have already had their babies: have you had any hilarious diaper moments yet? A loves to wait till her daddy is changing her then pee mid change, then poop as soon as the new diaper is on. Today he changed her 4 times in 5 minutes and got front row seat to her emptying her bowels, lol . I was in hysterics.

@kml636: Oh my gosh, look at those cheeks!!! What a cute baby!!! So glad to hear that she's latched well, though I hope you get some sleep tonight.

@travelgirl1: um yes! We had 2 today actually. She peed on dh this morning and pooped mid diaper change and then did another open air pee this afternoon! Poor dh, it was him both times.

Congrats to all the ladies that have had their babies in the last few days!! Can't wait to hear more birth stories and see your beautiful babes!

Nothing to report here! I would like to try some more activities to try and jump start labor like taking a walk or getting laid (it had been SO long). Going to try and take my prenatal yoga class tomorrow AM at least. How are my late Nov mommies holding up?

@highwire desperately trying to distract myself. cleaned the apartment.. have cooked actual dinners.. ugh. dreading tomorrow a little because it is my birthday and i know everyone who calls is going to ask about "being overdue"! i've been doing both those things with zero success and lots of aching joints... hope you have better luck

@scg00387: i just asked DH about DTD and he said he didnt think it could reach...and then i burst into tears. so sexy!

I am glad to have the well wishers but with my crappy sleep at night I've been keeping my phone on silent during the day so I can nap uninterrupted and if I don't answer or call back my family and friends are like blowing up me and DHs phone...trying to remain patient because I know they are just checking in but I promise you will know when.it is time!!!

    honeydew / 7687 posts

@highwire oh no!! in an effort to demonstrate how much i can't sleep/how bored i am, I drew a pictorial of the only thing that has worked for us and put in on your wall LOL. if you are offended.. tell me and I'll delete it. but seriously, that is the only way anatomically possible

I hear you on the patience - but I agree... don't they think that we'll tell them when it is time!!

@highwire we spent wayyy too much time figuring out logistics so I figured I might as well share, ha!! clearly it hasn't helped me very much. but here is to another night where i hope i get woken up by real labor

@scg00387: @highwire: ha ha, I so had to go and peek after reading that! The Friends episode where Rachel is trying everything she can to go into labour was on today - it had exyra special meaning now I've been preg.

I posted the following on FB today: "Yes, I'm still pregnant"

Other than that, I'm uncomfortable. Baby girl has moved her back down the center of my stomach and won't move...it hurts! She's kicking and thumping, but I think she might be stuck there now haha. Having a lot of BH, and I'm feeling really anxious (not like me).... Maybe something will happen this weekend

I bought a diaper bag today to keep my spirits up! Retail therapy works for everything.

@petuniasandpearls: retail therapy is pretty amazing! I spent $100 shopping online for preemie clothes from my hospital bed yesterday. It was great for my recovery. Since I couldn't actually participate in Black Friday, it was only fair...

@Mrs. Tricycle: @petuniasandpearls: I'm definitely doing some retail therapy! Been shopping online all night and am going to try and hit up a few places tomorrow.

I realized I haven't even left my house in like 5 days...yikes! So it is definitely time to get out.

    And holy insomnia.

I went to bed early, and then DH woke me up to try and fool around and it was a total disaster. And I've been up ever since. Ugh.

@highwire: that might get labor started!

If it was possible for Baby Girl to get even lower, I think she's succeeded. I can hardly walk today, OMG. Thankfully my plans include watching football and laying on the couch all day!

@ChelseaRose: sorry to hear about the sore nipples! Ouch. I'm so jealous that you pumped that much. I started pumping recently to introduce the bottle and I only got like 1.5 oz after pumping for 15 minutes. It was right after I fed LO but I still felt like it was so little. She didn't like the bottle too much though and definitely forgot to swallow a few times so there was milk running all down her chin. We are going to try again today. I'm also trying to switch up the holds that I'm using. The cradle hold is the most comfortable for me but LO has some trouble with latching on the left side. Nipple is flatter on that side. I can't wait until she becomes a pro at breastfeeding and can feed in any position. I'm almost starting to have some positive feelings about breastfeeding....almost! I definitely don't hate it anymore though.

@clery: feeling a lot better over the last few days. My family was together for Thanksgiving and it was nice to have everyone around. Helped a ton with my mood. How about you? I just keep thinking to take one day at a time, stop worrying so much about the future. And I've kind of accepted that I cannot control every aspect of my life anymore! That was hard for a control freak like me

  24. immabeetoo

@travelgirl1 i need to go back and watch that now!

@highwire same here, we're going to poke around stores and distract ourselves. way too much time inside!!

@petuniasandpearls hope your day is really relaxing!

@scg00387: Um that picture was incredible.

Still not much to report over here. Slightly achy back but no contractions. And I've essentially turned into a mucus factory and I keep thinking that's a sign that something is happening but so far nothing! Hubs and I are trying to put up Christmas lights and get last minute things done around the house before we head in for the induction on Monday. I'm stressed about trying to get everything just right and he just told me I was "in a mood today" and I almost punched him. Of course I'm in a mood!!! I'm tired, uncomfortable, and stressed about the fact that in no more than 72 hours I will have a human being to take care of!!!

  26. kml636

    pomegranate / 3225 posts

@MamaMoose: I understand completely. I was so stressed at the end and everyone constantly asking me "what's wrong?" Ummm. You tell me! But hang in there, it will be worth it soon!

@MamaMoose: now that I look back on it, I'm surprised that I survived those last few days before his arrival. The next few days following delivery (although hard in their own way) are so much better. You have a ton to look forward to!

Well, yoga felt great and the instructor gave me a lot of poses and vocalizations to practice. I started having contractions during the final relaxation portion of class but that went away. I think moving around helped so DH and I are going to take a walk later to try andget things going...

@Mrs. Tricycle: @kml636: Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I'm needing it today. My MIL was just attacking my husband with questions about the induction and tried to claim "maybe they do that in TN but not here in MA!". Lady you haven't had a baby for 25 years, and no one asked for your uneducated and judgy opinion so please keep it to yourself.

@MamaMoose: Aw you will love looking after that little human. Having a new baby is amazing, not long till you're on the other side.

super spicy lunch out, walked alll around the mall and all I have is a sore back oh well. settling in for a movie and trying to not scratch my stomach raw!!
