@highwire: Sending good labor vibes your way. I hope your induction is successful. For what it's worth, I was induced due to high blood pressure (barely dilated or effaced at the time) and the only reasons I ended up with a c section were because the baby was face up and his head was too big. I really think having a positive attitude and being optimistic can help your induction. It sounds like you'll be meeting your little girl very soon!

@highwire: aw I know it's overwhelming to have a sudden change of plans but just think you will meet your daughter soon!!! I've only had mine for a few hours and I've already forgotten all the pain of pregnancy and labor!!

@highwire: Sending labor vibes your way! Your womb must just be so comfy, baby doesn't want to leave!! Hopefully baby decides to come out on her own, but at least you have an induction date if not! No matter what, in one more week, your baby will be here!
ETA: Sorry, I misread your post and that you're being induced now! Sorry that it's turning out more stressful than you had hoped, but baby will be here soon and I'm sure everything will turn out just fine! *hug* Good luck to you!

but chin up! I have a friend who was induced in the same manner (closed up tight!) and her induction and delivery went SO smoothly! everything will be alright!

@highwire: I was stalking this thread and holding out on posting until your labor got started. I'm sorry you're heading in under stress like that! Did your doc mention a Bishop score? Are your hubby and doula with you?

Doc rechecked and says I'm 3 cm and contracting regularly although I can't feel them. Says we will probably have baby tonight.
Am on magnesium for the blood pressure which means I have a catheter put in. Hate the catheter lol and may get epi just so I can nor feel it in there anymore.

it'll be worth it in the end, though!!

@highwire: Thinking of you! I had to be on magnesium and had a catheter before and after baby was born. I hated the magnesium so much. That's great that you're making progress and will hopefully get to meet your baby girl later today.

Howdy! Doc attempted to break my water but I guess my body didn't want to cooperate. Phew that Olsen is stubborn! About to start the pitocin drip and will hopefully keep moving things along. Hoping she will be here sometime before dawn! I finally was able to eat a popsicle which was my first food since dinner last night. It was the best popsicle in the history of the world.
