@highwire bummer hope the 3 hour goes better!
How far along? 25 weeks tomorrow
Total weight gain: 9 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes - and stretchy non maternity things
Stretch Marks: No, fingers crossed I won't get any like my sister and mom!
Sleep: Mostly fine, wake up once a night for the bathroom
Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat at my regular appointment!
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my stomach! My waist!
Food cravings: Sooo much candy & sweets. Trying to curb it, with little success.
Symptoms: So far I've been feeling good, fingers crossed! Just starting to have lower back pain (broke my back in 2 places 4 years ago)
Looking forward to: Being done with my GD test, hitting the 3rd trimester, and (hopefully) finding out where we're moving before I'm too huge to move!

@mrsjyw: NO. Not possible lol.
Okay here's how the three hour test went if anyone is interested:
1. Arrived at the office at 9:30 AM (fasting since dinner the night before)
First blood draw to get fasting blood sugar, right arm. Also took 4 other vials since I came up anemic at my last appointment. They needed to figure out what is causing it so they can treat (low b12, folate, etc.)
2. Drank bottle of sugar goop (100mg concentration is opposed to the first one which was only 50mg). Not awesome tasting. But not the worst thing in the world. I picked fruit punch flavored instead of orange. Bring/use a straw. It goes down much faster that way.
Hang out in the waiting room. You can have small sips of water only, but they'd prefer if you didn't even do that. I needed to at least wash down the drink with a swig of water.
3. Second blood draw at 10:45 AM. Left arm. Pee (of course).
Hang out in waiting room for an hour.
4. Third blood draw at 11:45 AM. Right arm, same vein (UGH)
Hang out in waiting room for an hour.
5. Fourth and final blood draw at 12:45 PM. Left arm, same vein (OUCH)
6. Leave. Scarf down food, finally. Even on a full stomach of a hearty meal, feel totally lightheaded and sickly for an hour after that. So, make sure you drink water and relax if you can (I sat at my office in a crumpled ball in my office chair. I ate a piece of candy and that helped make me feel better.
Overall, not the worst thing that I've been through. There was free wifi and movies playing so that passed the time. The phlebotomist was really good about coming to get me exactly on the scheduled time, so nothing got delayed at all.
The end! Waiting "patiently" for my results which should come through any minute.

@highwire: I'm so glad you passed! I did my three hour test today and won't get the results until Monday. Now I'm home and relaxing on the couch.

@highwire: Oh so glad you passed!
My GD test isn't even until 28 weeks...I swear my doctor does everything late! NT scan at 13.5 weeks, Anatomy Scan at 21 weeks, and GD Test at 28 weeks. I always feel so behind since I'm at the end of the month AND my tests are later.

@petuniasandpearls: I feel the same with the late in the month due date. I have to get my rhogam shot next time, so I'm glad to have gotten to get some of the poking out of the way.

@highwire glad you passed!
@petuniasandpearls nope, my OB is doing it at 28 weeks too and I'm due 11/23 so you're not alone!!
I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks because my placenta was over the tip of my cervix... hoping it has moved up & that baby has flipped out of breech, I don't want a csection!!
persimmon / 1161 posts
@scg00387: I don't think baby being breech matters that much this early on when they still have plenty of room to move around.
I have no idea what position my baby is in. Do you all know or is it just me?
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
@ChelseaRose: I have no idea either. But I get kicks and punches all over my belly so I am guessing she is moving around and changing positions quite a bit.
honeydew / 7687 posts
@chelsearose I am hoping so. I'm not sure when the "turning point" is that they're most likely not able to/going to flip around (though I know it can happen right until the end if you're lucky). They told me at my 20 week ultrasound and my OB said it felt the same at my appointment the other day.

@ChelseaRose: @highwire: funny, I was literally just reading about this online. From what i read, If you feel the most kicks under your belly button, baby is probably butt down. This is true with me and I sometimes feel hiccups way down south near my butt. Weird feeling. My doctor confirmed this for me at my last appt and said that babies turn between 28 and 34 weeks. I feel light movements above my belly button which I assume is baby's hands.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@JessLC: have the same movements! I can sometimes feel it in my lower back and butt!

@JessLC: I'm pretty sure feet are pointing down -- my cervix keeps getting kicked - very weird.

My little girl has been head down since my week 20 ultrasound and was still in that position last week at 24 weeks. She moves a lot but it's in certain areas---her feet occasionally get lodged in my ribs on the right side & kick up high, and she punches my mid-to-lower left side a lot. She also sticks her butt out on my right side often (you can feel it...we like to poke her).
She does occasionally flip over to sunny side up (I feel her punches move), but her head is still down. They said they HOPE she will stay in this position (it's a good sign she's stayed there so long), and that I would likely feel her if she flipped breech.

Due 11/3 and go for the glucose test Monday. I've been feeling lots of movement all over, so I've been wondering what position he is in. I wish I could always have an ultrasound so I could see what he's doing in there! congrats other Nov. mama's to be!

How far along? 25 Weeks, 3 Days
Total weight gain: 13 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes, and some of my maternity capris that I bought at 7 weeks are getting a little snug!
Stretch Marks: Yes, but they really don't bug me. They'll fade to white eventually and join the ranks with all the other ones.
Sleep: Better lately! I've been sleeping through the night, getting up maybe once to pee, and that's it. Otherwise I'm out like a rock.
Best moment this week: We're going to announce the gender on FB tonight
Miss Anything? Not having to take a million pills. Now I have to do my prenatal, Vitamin D, and iron. Ugh.
Food cravings: Today it was cold cereal for lunch! Delicious.
Symptoms: A little tightening/cramping going on today. Peeing A LOT during the day.
Looking forward to: Getting out of these tight pants when I get home Attempting to do a little weight lifting routine tonight and get back in a little better shape. I've been a slob for the last several weeks.

The results of my three our glucose test came back normal! I'm so relieved.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@ChelseaRose: yayyyy!
I've been having really bad cramps today. Called dr and was told to keep an eye out for pre-term labor symptoms for the night... it's not frequent yet so I'm not worried, but left side is really tight and uncomfortable

@mrsjyw: found out I need to get b12 shots because I am deficient...and that missing b12 makes you feel cruddy and like you have no energy. So hopefully getting my b12 up will help!!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@highwire: oooh yea! hope you feel better soon! my gf used to take b12 (not preggers) for energy!
grapefruit / 4006 posts
@highwire: yes, I'm dead tired these days. Not sure if it's just because we've had a busy past few days, or because fatigue is setting in again.
@mrsjyw: Feel better and keep us posted!

My first baby shower is on Saturday! I have to fly to it, which is why it's so early...I can't believe it's in 3 days! We've been receiving gifts at the house all week!
The crib came today too (apparently my MIL purchased it)---eek!

Hi Everybody!
Have not posted in a while... been quite busy. Quick question, has anybody had any recent anxiety attacks? Hubby and I will be moving in a week and a half and that with the fact that baby is coming soon makes me extremely worried at times... I hope things get better once we have moved into our new place...
