Thanks ladies my BP is hanging out really close to 160. I've had 159, 142 & 157 in the last few hours.

@Sugar.Biscuit: That's great news! You'll be so much more relaxed at home anyway. Put those feet up mama and keep those babies cooking! Hooray!

@sugar.biscuit - So glad to hear that you get to keep the lil buns in the oven a bit longer!!! Relax as much as you can!

@Sugar.Biscuit: Are you feeling good? I know it wasn't the birth you wanted, and if you want to talk about any disappointment you might have feel free to wall me. How big are the babies now?

Had my 38 week check up today… I was 1 cm dilated and 75% thinned out. I never expected to make it this far in the pregnancy because DS was early. Since I am hoping for a VBAC, my midwife also stripped my membranes today in hopes to keep things moving. Otherwise, I have a scheduled c-section for January 3rd. But, my midwife thinks we could be having a baby this weekend! Crazy! I am nervous but excited! I have a few things I could do yet, but I really just want to nap!

Thanks for all your support & encouragement ladies. This has not been easy & even though I am bored & on bed rest all day I find it hard to pop over here & focus long enough to give proper responses to everyone. @MamaBehr: Thanks on the 11th they were measuring at 4.5 & 5#'s

I see the specialist again on Monday & Thursday this coming week. Then the following week we will deliver... To think I went from the bottom of our list to the top pretty dang quick.

So I completely forgot about my appointment on Friday. Got a call from my midwife making sure I was ok. Got rescheduled for this Friday.

35 weeks today and I can't wait to be done and have my little man here!

Thanks for the update!! Just like mamabher, we're hoping baby stays put until after Christmas. Then, we're totally ready! Hope you mamas have a beautiful holiday!

I can't believe some of y'all are "ready!" Lol. I still have 2 showers on Jan 4/5th that I need to wait for to finish getting the rest of what we need. There hasn't been a whole lot that's been bought off the registry. but I'm sure it'll all work out and be fine! At least, that's what I'm telling myself, haha.

Had my 39 week appointment yesterday. A few months ago (I think at 27 weeks), I had my iron tested, and it was extremely low. After really focusing on iron rich foods & a natural iron supplement, I found out the my 37 week draw was low again. SO BUMMED! My iron stores went up, but my circulating iron went down. With a home birth planned, I'm a little nervous, and really hoping I have at least 2 more weeks before the baby arrives to double my supplement & increase my numbers.

The midwife told me that if baby is born when my iron is low, my body will focus on replenishing iron way more than it will make breastmilk.

Okay, rant over. Hope you ladies are enjoying getting close or reaching full term! I still can't believe we've had three December babies!! Any day now!

@Navy_Mommy: Our midwife (one of them) is old, too! She knows that 37 weeks is "full term", but says to not get too excited until we reach the due date ... Babies can use every day in there to keep growing.

I still got REALLY excited about reaching 37 weeks!

@Navy_Mommy: lol, wow! That sounds promising! I start my weekly checks on Tuesday, so we'll see if I'm dialated or anything.
