    @IRunForFun: luckily he just did it and it took what 5 mins. I mean what was the hold up. @snowjewelz: you better believe next Sunday I will be walking all day to try and get things moving naturally so I could have my doctor deliver this baby too!
    @Chillybear: Disney on Ice sounds so fun!

    I typed a post and it got eaten, argh so annoying!!

    I just did a 4 errand outing, groceries, meatman, dollar store and coffee grinding (lol for DH) with both kids and I feel like I just took on the world and won, lol. Feeling good today. Cashier at grocery store was like "you have been pregnant forever it seems, must be due soon?" And i don't ever always just go to her, it was cute she recognized! Insane saying "due next week!"

    39w today, appt tomorrow.....bump!! I was 194lbs last week (up 55lbs) and still hoping to hit 200lbs, but we'll see. A friend due on the 1st had her baby today (her fourth!) Super excited for her.

    I looked at my previous birth month/year posts here on HB for my other two. Lost mucus plug 36 hours ornsonbefore both were born! Had same ish high BP from 38w on, crazy reading about those early days and how much you forget!

    @sunnyday: looking good, super mom!!

    @sunnyday: amazing how good you feel when you had a productive day! You look great!

    And now DH has to switch LO and the infant seat. I can't sit comfortably with the infant behind me since they have to have space between them. LO doesn't like his idea. I wish we could put LO in the middle but we have a Foonf for her and it is too tall.

  10. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

    @Smurfette: we ended up doing infant in the middle and convertible behind passenger so I can still squeeze in the back just in case. But I am still considering putting infant behind drivers seat bc having 2 next to each other isn't the safest either...

  11. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

    @snowjewelz: I have an SUV so I think the infant would be too heavy to lift into the middle. But it would be nice to have a spot for someone else to sit back there.

    @Smurfette: Yay for having the car seat installed!

    @Chillybear: Awesome nursery! I really like the paint color.

    @snowjewelz: Ha, I know right? As long as the baby is healthy I'd rather have smaller than bigger. Also, I am only 5'1" and started pregnancy around 105 lbs so I'm pretty petite; DH is very lean and only 5'8" so it isn't surprising that we aren't going to make a big baby! I think they just want to make sure the growth doesn't drop even further.

    @sunnyday: Looking good! I had a similar comment from the bank teller about being pregnant for a long time, haha.

  13. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

    @IRunForFun: I'm also 5'1... DD2 was just under 7 lbs and I still tore and needed to be cut!!

  14. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

    @IRunForFun: @snowjewelz: I am 5'6 and LO was 8lbs but I still tore and needed a super tiny cut.

    @IRunForFun: we had a growth scan for a similar reason this time! my first was 7lbs (at 41 weeks) and I still tore with her. this little one (who is measuring about the same) will be a little gentler to me on her way out!

  16. sunnyday

    I had one small tear with both, one stitch each. Wondering what will happen this time!!

    Had my 39w appt this am. Snowstorm here this am, so driving was a bit of an adventure. 197.8 lbs!!! Sooo close and definitely my max, I only got to 196 with my first! Doc is at hospital Thursday next week (40+1), I see her at her office friday, then she's at hospital Sat and Sun. Did a sweep today, still 3cm.

  17. Smurfette

    @sunnyday: maybe this will be your week!

    So I am 90% sure I had my bloody show last night. So maybe a NYE baby for us. Just laying around today. My stuffy nose is better but the coughing is awful. I keep leaking pee when I cough. Pregnancy is so glamourous!

  18. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

    @madger: Do you mind if I ask when your scan was and what baby was measuring? I had mine at 36 + 3 and they estimated 5 lbs, 6 ozs...I mean that's small, but not CRAZY small. I guess what matters is growth continues.

    @sunnyday: Snowing here too, I'm glad I don't have to go out. I hope the sweep works for you!

    @Smurfette: Eeek that's exciting!! NYE is still 2 days away, maybe baby will come even sooner? Hope the cough clears up first.

  19. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

    Oh, I was awoken again from a dead sleep last night by a painful contraction and proceeded to have a couple more. I think it's because I have a full bladder, its excruciating to try to pee while having the cramping and then usually subsides a few mins after I pee. Ouch. Now I def don't want this baby coming early!! I want at least a 6 pounder!!

  20. madger

    cherry / 178 posts

    @IRunForFun: they actually didn't give me a weight! Just that she was in the 35%, so was on track to be similar to her sister (who was 7lbs born at 41 weeks).

    So I think something is happening... I've had cramps lasting 20-30 min for the last 3 hours. Baby is moving around a ton

    @Smurfette: this was me pre labor! I kept saying I was going to cough this baby out lol. I didn't realize my water broke since I was peeing myself coughing so bad!

    @IRunForFun: I hope you are hanging in there!!

    @Chillybear: ahh!

    @snowjewelz: I am, thanks!!

    @Chillybear: How are you feeling now?

    Anyone feel like maybe they'll have a NYE or New Year's Day baby? Not me! Been pretty active and on the go today and headed to a friend's house for dinner shortly. Wishing I hadn't sat down because now I don't want to get up!

    36 weeks so definitely not feeling like I'll have a nye baby. Stayed home alone 3 days with my 2.5 year old this week (pulled her out of daycare since I'm off work until baby comes) it's been a bit of a rough week, not helped by bad weather and starting to potty train. Winter in Canada is just so depressing. Any stah mommas in cold weather climates with tips?

  28. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

    @IRunForFun: don't think it is going to be me. I must have been wrong, not my bloody show. Maybe just blood from my check and my mugus plug. Nothing going on here.

    I did get one last wax today, manicure, and pedicure. So I am ready now for baby. DH isn't, he wants to watch the game tonight at friends. I said just make sure you answer your phone if I call.

    Tried to keep busy today since I stayed home from work. My husband has a man cold so you know it was the end of the world. I'm really hoping this kid comes before Tuesday so I don't have to go back to work but I guess it's not really up to me

  30. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

    @Chillybear: I'm with you. I have no desire to go back to work. I am supposed to go Monday, company holiday, but in accounting, so year end close. My boss told me to stay home since it would be slow and most of my work is all being handled by others anyway. I did tell them next week I would be working from home every other day. If I make it to my induction, I will work Monday from home, and then go in Tuesday for baby day.

    I NEED more of you to have babies so we can start talking about them

    I am exhausted! Having 2 kids is no joke... How do you do with 2+?! DD2 is 3 oz away from getting back to her birth weight so I am happy b/c I've been slaving away to make sure she eats every 2.5 hr ish!

    I'm also still debating if I should keep DD1's daycare hours the same during maternity leave to save money, or bump her up now to save my sanity, lol.

    @Peasinapod: I am forgetting, where are you in Canada?

    We just spent the afternoon down the street at friends house with a backyard rink. It was so awesome. Ordered pizza and stayed for dins, easiest bedtime ever! They were zonked!

    We go for lots of walks, sledding, and I'm a big toy rotater in the house to keep things fresh for them. My DD is in jk and pretty easy to entertain with anything I give her, my DS(2.5) is neeeeedy and is a little harder to get him doingamything independently. We are lucky and have a 1600sq ft unfinished basement that might as well be a daycare. I have a slide, trampoline, mini stick "rink" size area, huge train table, carpet down, queen bed at floor level and the kids have a blast. Ride bikes and go go go down there too, we are in a bungalow so upstairs most of their toys are in their rooms with a smaller rotation in our one common area.

    Today DH got a parcel from the courier and it came with a decent sized cardboard box.....thank-you for one hour of colouring the box, it was glorious, lol. I vacuumed.

    @Chillybear: Hope baby comes soon! Ugh...back to work sounds so daunting.

    @snowjewelz: Haha, we'll be with you soon enough! Does your first LO wake sometimes when baby wakes?

    @sunnyday: Can I live in your basement??

  36. sunnyday

    kiwi / 573 posts

    @babypugs: I sleep down there more often than not these days, that bit cooler makes such a sleep difference and a whole bed to myself....to snore in, lol. Two things my DH is surely looking forward to ending once this babe is here!!

  37. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

    @babypugs: She is in her own room and DH sleeps in there with her while I'm with the baby in our room! And we all have white noise going.

    @snowjewelz: I'm not ready, I am only 37+4.

    @Smurfette: @Chillybear: I just started a new job this week. I plan on going in on Tuesday and Wednesday, but have a doctor's appointment on Thursday. Hopefully, they give me time off until the birth. Job knew about the pregnancy months ago. Same company, so I don't have an issue with maternity leave.

    @sunnyday: I'm in Ottawa , and admittedly with potty training did a bad job of making going out a priority. Your basement really does sound amazing . I think I'll also adopt the toy rotation . I just feel like everything will be better when it's a bit warmer, including getting her out to play groups so she doesn't go stir crazy.

    @snowjewelz: I'm excited to be able to all chat about our January babies too! I'm due till the end of the month though so it'll probably be awhile.

    I actually ended up taking my 2.5 year old out of daycare for the year I'm on mat leave. Hoping I don't regret it. I do feel guilty because she loved daycare and had friends there but I'm hoping having her with me will force me to get out more and stay more engaged then I did when I was on Mat leave the first time .
