I love lurking on this board because it reminds me of hitting these milestones with my two January babies

@Jessiemuller88: OMG!! That is wild. I still need one more "guess" at 20 weeks to let it sink it that it could be a boy this time.

@Jessiemuller88: So much! Soon they'll be measuring them from belly/head measurements, no more CTR lengths! :o
@bhbee: So exciting! I feel like time is going by sooooo slowly!

Ok, time for a gross TMI question.
Discharge. Next level. Anyone else?

@jaguar: Yep. Man, isnt it great that our bodies can be SO GOOD at what they do?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@helloperidot: hahaha phew. Honestly, you think I'd remember this stuff. Amazing what we block out!!!

@jaguar: mine really isnโt next level, which kind of worries me at times. Itโs definitely there, but no more than I had in the beginning ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Just had my 13 week appointment (Iโll be 13 tomorrow) and the babies looked perfect! They were wiggling around so much. Iโm so relieved.

@Jessiemuller88: Hi little babes! Sharing a womb... so so special! Heart is melting over here.
I'm having a really crampy week this week. Trying not to stress but it's just playing on my mind. Worse because my OB is off on leave for another 2 weeks, too. Just twiddling my thumbs and trying to wish July away!

@Jessiemuller88: awwwww
@jaguar: ugh... I'm sure you are just growing. I would try lots and lots of water, and as much rest as is feasible.
Still feeling a bit miserable. I think part of it is that things are crazy this week and I haven't gotten as much sleep as I need (which is a lot). DS's daycare was closed last week, then he was out sick Mon/Tues, so I'm so behind on everything. Dying for the second trimester energy boost and nausea relief, but not going to hold my breath.
In more exciting news, MIL bought us an upbaby vista stroller. Should arrive next week and I'm planning to use it as a single right away, then a double when the baby comes. I'm such a nerd for baby gear, super excited as we've mostly been using a super cheap and flimsy umbrella stroller that I'm sick of! Not planning to buy much for baby girl, as we mostly have what we need from DS, but a double stroller was my big must have with two under two.

@Jessiemuller88: They are too cute!
@periwinklebee: Ugh I keep looking to 12 weeks like everything will go away like magic (even though I already know it does not). I just need some hope lol. It's been crazy town over here too and I am sooo done.
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@graceandjoy: What did get much better at 12 weeks was knowing that everything was genetically normal, so at least all of this is statistically likely to end in a baby And movements started around 13 weeks, not every day but at least a few times a week, so at least there's some upside!
I don't even want to think about how long I'm going to be exhausted for
cherry / 236 posts
I plan to be exhausted forever.
DD2 woke up at 12:30 last night. She was relatively easy to settle with a binky, at least. Then an earthquake woke me and DH up at 3 (thank goodness the kids slept through that!). I had a hard time getting back to sleep after that. Drinking alllllllll the coffee I can this morning.

@helloperidot: oh man! glad everyone's ok tho! and yes to the being exhausted forever my 2 have been taking turns being sick and the house is a complete disaster b/c I just don't care anymore. Pretty sure I have a load of laundry sitting there for the past 5 days...

How is everyone doing on the name front? We're team green, so have to pick a name for each anyways. We didn't use our girl name last time obviously, but I feel like Olivia is everywhere now.

@helloperidot: I think that's the best attitude, just accept it as the life we chose! But lol, I'm tired
@Sams Mom: I cannot get my husband to have a serious conversation about this until baby is here. He delights too much in suggesting the ridiculous and watching my reaction We'll probably finally decide when the social security lady comes around in the hospital and says she needs the form.

@periwinklebee: I would strangle my husband in a rage of hormones ๐คฃ
We've already narrowed the boy named down to 2, but the girls list (mine, he hasn't contributed yet) is about 11 names long with no middles.
cherry / 236 posts
@periwinklebee: you have until, like, 60 or 90 days post birth! No pressure!
@Sam's Mom: This girl was our easiest to name...basically I wrote her name on the whiteboard on our fridge the day we found out we were having a girl, and DH looked at it and said "Oh, yeah, that's her name."
It's Audrey Paige, by the way.
clementine / 973 posts
@Sams Mom: I love all of those names! My husband gives zero input but doesnโt strongly like anything I suggest either itโs so annoying. I guess itโs good we have a few months to decide.

I LOVE names. I have a few we're tossing up between but this third girl is WAY harder than the others were. Finding one that suits our surname PLUS flows on from Georgia + Claire.. it's tough!
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Sams Mom: Beautiful names!
@jaguar: So far nothing is jumping out at me as potentially right, and I have no excuse since this is our first girl

@periwinklebee: Names are tough!
@helloperidot: That's our niece, unfortunately!

I think hubby and I came up with our girl name tonight! Evelyn โEvieโ Mae
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Jessiemuller88: LOVE! Perfect name. How bout your little man? Our kitty is Evie (Lady Evelyn in full, haha, we are weirdos) so I'm totally kicking myself for using all the good names on our fur babies!
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@jaguar: me too! My cockatiel's name is George (thought she was a boy then she laid eggs) but my son calls her Georgie, which I actually like. AND my cat's name is Louise, which I'm finding I really like too and can't use.
clementine / 973 posts
@jaguar: @Sams Mom: we have no idea for the boy! I think thatโs awesome you both used good names on your fur babies!! We wanted to name our dog Lily, years ago, but saved it for a child. Then some of our closest friends named their daughter Lily. Lesson learned- donโt save the good names!
How is everyone feeling?

@Jessiemuller88: hi, it's your favorite stalker! Just wanted to say CONGRATS on your two (!) little bundles!! I love that announcement, I think the u/s is adorable. Also, you're really pretty (saw the pic). Also we wanted to name our girl Evelyn (favorite aunt's birth name before she was adopted from Peru was Evelin) so I will live vicariously through you!

@pachamama: you are sooo sweet! Thank you so much for all the compliments! You made my day Iโve followed you a bit myself! Donโt you have a new little one and a toddler? How has your oldest adjusted to the change?
nectarine / 2436 posts
@Jessiemuller88: yes 3.5 and 6 months! The transition was an utter shitshow it was winter and flu season... here in upstate New York it's brutally cold and dark, and I was super depressed and basically a nutjob postpartum! but the older one seems to be warming up to him. Baby is an absolute joy. And I'm better (most days!).
I'll be thinking of you and some other special Dec/Jan/Feb Mamas (samsmom )!
clementine / 973 posts
@pachamama: I honestly expect no less than a shit show myself. I always get the blues in the winter anyways. Iโm sorry you had such a rough time, and Iโm happy to hear most days are better. Thatโs great your oldest is warming up! Iโve heard second babies are sooo much more chill. Iโm glad itโs the case for you!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Sams Mom: So true!! We were in the thick of IVF and infertility when we adopted our fur babies, so we named them thinking we may never get to use them on actual babies! We have Oscar, Evie, and Spencer.
