Man u guys move so fast! I just woke up and there is a whole page! And I only read from my phone so its hard to respond to everyone!
I just wanted to say yay for everyone's good appt and strong heartbeats it is so reassuring and exciting to see!
@dc yoga bee: hopefully those pills stay working for u and are u just going to work from home sonce ir work offered? That is awesome I wish my job let me do that but its not possible.
@cascademom: good luck today. Do u get an US with your testing?
@MrsBrewer: I had another appt yesterday and6 next is Nov 21st!

I went in for my US to see if there really is 2 in there and if both are thriving and holy shit there is 2 in there! 1 has a hb of 172 and the other hb is 167. I am completely trippin! This is the best picture I have with both of them on the screen. I have absolutely no idea when it is going to sink in.

@BabyMats: glad to see that they're both doing well! I don't know if I'll get an ultrasound with this appt.

I have not bought anything. Honestly, I'm not sure when I will feel okay doing it. Probably after the new year?
@MrsBrewer: What kind of set?! I want to live vicariously through others!
@BabyMats: Holy cow, so exciting!!!

@BabyMats: Oh, wow! So cool! I've always wanted twins, especially after I nannied for twin baby boys awhile back.

@BabyMats: Yay!!! That's soooo exciting to see both of them in there!!

@LindsayInNY: It's a gorgeous cherry wood set, let me see if I can find the pictures from the CL ad
edit: nope looks like the ad was deleted. We don't have it set up yet, it's just kind of in a pile in our spare bedroom (future nursery)

We're torn on furniture... I go back and forth between a cheapy (and I don't mean that in a bad way!), simple Ikea crib to match the dresser already in that bedroom OR splurge on the Stokke Sleepi one that can last for quite some time. I'm not totally sold on the Stokke either because you're limited to special, round-sized sheets. I don't know if we'll want to replace the entire bedroom set down the road and get something matching. GAH. So really all we know is that we have an existing dresser (this one) for the room:
coconut / 8854 posts
@LindsayInNY: It looks very very similar to this! I know it was from JCP also, it has the matching dresser to go with it.
coconut / 8854 posts
@LindsayInNY: The Stokke is beautiful! Do you know anyone who sews? I wonder if someone could just make you sheet sets for it?
bananas / 9229 posts
@MrsBrewer: Well, it just so happens that MIL is a ridiculous sewer, quilter, etc! So I could definitely send her one sheet to use as a pattern. So I have thought about that! I'm waiting for SIL to get pregnant at some point though (my luck...) and I'm fearful I'll have to share MIL's skills/time though.

@MrsBrewer: Oh that's nice!! I've considered looking on CL for SO much - Stokke crib, stroller, etc.

@BabyMats: Oh wow! So exciting! I'll be honest, there was a very small part of me that was a little disappointed that I've only got 1 little bean growing in me. I've always thought it would be neat to have twins!

I had my Materni21 test. I watched a video, talked to the genetic counselor, and got blood drawn. I'll have the results back in 10 days. We'll learn the sex too. DH and I are predicting boy.

What's up, what's up, what's up! You guys have been chatty today, I love it! I was busy getting all my IT equipment setup with the IT department so I'm all set to start teleworking Monday. No pic today, but I'll try to take one tomorrow! Is anyone else having crazy back pain? It's uncomfortable to sleep on my tummy anymore, and my book says to stop sleeping on your back starting second trimester, which is only a couple of weeks away. I've been sleeping on my left side, but man I have this intense pain in my lower back. I'm not sure if this is what they mean by round ligament pain?? I have DH scrunch some pillows under my back for support. Maybe it's time for a pregnancy pillow?
@LindsayInNY: Love that dresser! I like the idea of the round crib too, but I think I'd tire of it and exchange it all out later.
@BabyMats: @Mrs.KMM: Our Friends just gave birth to twins last week. Facebook feed is floooooded with pics of those beautiful babes. I was slightly disappointed there was only one bean too. Just a teeny bit. @BabyMats that is one beautiful ultrasound! So glad to see they're doing great!
@CASCADEMOM: Can't wait for you to find out the gender!
@Eko: We bought the crib, and the stroller. Only because they were on a crazy sale or being discontinued (the color uppababy we wanted). We're also team green. For now....

@BabyMats: That is so exciting and more to love!!
@dc yoga bee: I've been having some really intense back pain. Between exercising and keeping a pillow between my knees at night it seems to help. I have yet to buy a body pillow, but will be soon. Try the pillow. It should keep your spine more in line and might help!

@BabyMats: Congrats on twins!! So exciting. I didn't even think about twins until during my ultrasound. The three of us were looking at the heartbeat and I just shouted out "check for more!" Nope, just one.

@dc yoga bee: that's exciting you are starting with the maternity clothes! I've been trying to discreetly wear maternity pants to work. I went to a thrift store last week that was having a 50% off sale and got 3 pairs of Gap maternity work slacks for $7.50 total. Not too shabby. I am anxious for my scan and test results...if all is well, I will start wearing some more obviously maternity stuff to work around 13 weeks.

@BabyMats: congrats!!
Last week I ordered a couple of new shirts from a big online sale and just tried them on. DH reluctantly admitted I may be starting to get a tiny bump. Poor guy was afraid he'd get in trouble for saying I looked a little bigger in the stomach area, LOL
then realization kind of hit us both
Eta: it may not even be a legit bump. It may just be the funky bloat I sometimes get lately!

Sooo I'm crazy, but look at what I found at Walmart 90% off!! Wanna know how much I paid for it?? $0.39!!! I couldn't say no!!

Today I read on a local facebook group page that there's some bug going around causing soreness, weakness, nausea, chills but no fever. Exactly how I was on Thursday. I'm relieved that I probably was actually sick this week. I thought I was just handling this pregnancy really poorly and being a huge baby (I made DH carry me to bed from the couch).
Today I actually felt really good - like a functioning human. I got my maternity clothes back from a friend without her figuring me out. My 1st pregnancy jeans still fit (for now). Things are looking up.

@Corduroy: I'm glad to hear that you are doing better and that it was just a bug going around! Even if it was pregnancy symptoms you shouldn't feel like such a wimp.
@MrsBrewer: Those are really cute! Should probably try to buy holiday items for next year once they pass this year to get some good deals!
I have heard that pregnancy symptoms tend to peak around 9 weeks. Was this true for anyone else yet or have heard the same thing? My symptoms seem to be at their all time worst and have been since mid 8w. At least it's comforting to know that my symptoms haven't gone away or anything...I guess...
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Eko: um yes!!!! Throwing up repeatedly the entire week. Driving, sitting, heck even walking made me throw up. I'm on medical telework the rest of my first trimester. I'm 10w3d today, and feeling much better. I'm also on a prescription cocktail for the nausea, but so far today haven't needed anything. And yesterday, I only needed something at night when I felt queasy. Hopefully, it doesn't hit you that hard. I don't wish that hellish week on anyone!
ETA: Has anyone grown out of their bras yet? Mine are now waaay too small, and cutting into me. My mom measured me when she was here visiting, and I've moved up from a 36C to a 38D
I don't know whether to just buy bigger bras or get a maternity bra or something? Everything online says you'll change sizes a few times during pregnancy, but I can't keep wearing too tight bras in the meantime!
grapefruit / 4355 posts
@Eko: I've definitely been having a lot of back pain too. I've always had some (due to the weight of my boobs) but it is definitely worse. I feel silly since baby weighs like nothing at this point though.
grapefruit / 4355 posts
@dc yoga bee: I've been wearing a wireless sports bra type bra for weeks because my regular bras have been uncomfortable! I really don't want to have to buy new bras multiple times during this pregnancy because with boobs as big as mine, I can't find bras for under $70-80.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@dc yoga bee: My symptoms definitely don't seem to be as bad as yours was, but they are definitely kicking me down. I pretty much moved up in bra size when I found out I was pregnant. I happened to have bigger bra sizes on hand so I just use those. However, if I continue to go up I'll probably just buy a couple cheap bras from like target or something. I don't know if I would buy maternity bras since you could still go up in bra size! I am not sure how quick or not the sizing goes down afterward.
@Mrs.KMM: My back pain has been pretty bad too. I am pushing through my fatigue and to doing some mild exercising, which seems to help me a bit.
coconut / 8854 posts
Man I think I'm the only one, but my bras are still fitting just fine, I don't think my boobs have gotten any larger at all! I'm pretty bummed actually!!!
coconut / 8861 posts
@MrsBrewer: My bras still fit. I got sized during the summer for bras at Nordstrom. They fit well even pregnant. When I take off my bra, my nipples hurt, but in general, the bra fits well.
nectarine / 2641 posts
Mine are getting bigger, but they were so small and flat after BFing, that they're finally fitting back into my bras appropriately. Whomp whomp.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@MrsBrewer: My boobs just hurt all the time. Fortunately, I have only graduated from a B to a C, so I am not completely miserable, or it hasn't caused back pain like other ladies here. I think too though that larger boobs can happen later, from what I read mine increased earlier than most.
pomelo / 5258 posts
@MrsBrewer: My boobs haven't grown. Like @Jess1483: I'm hoping to get back to pre- breastfeeding B's. I did need to pull out my bra extender since my rib cage expanded. That just helps me look all around bigger (which I am by 10lbs).
coconut / 8861 posts
@Eko: My boobs hurt on and off. Just like when I got pregnant with LO, my boobs hurt so much at the very beginning. Now, it's when I'm not careful with them, they hurt.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@dc yoga bee: Yes! My boobs are back to their pre-breastfeeding, pregnancy glory! Fortunately, I already had bigger bras to move into and they haven't hurt. I would go ahead and buy new ones (you need to be comfortable!)...maybe buy nursing bras (if you plan to nurse), just make sure you have plenty of room to expand the back. I have a broad back to begin with, and went from a 38 to a 40 last pregnancy. I think I went up a cup to a cup and a half. At the end of my pregnancy with J, I ditched underwire bras at the very end. I forget the brand that I switched to, but it was awesome.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@78h2o: let me know if you remember the brand! I think I'm gonna just move up a size and then get some nursing bras later on. I was trying to hold it for Black Friday, but I found a Soma coupon, and then they're having a sale so their wirefree embraceable bra would ce up to only $16 or so. But, I don't want to pay shipping lol. Maybe DH will drive to the mall and get it!

I was hoping to go in and have my OB check the baby today after I fell down the stairs last night, but the nurse said no. There's only one nurse that they give all the phone calls to, and she's never helpful. Ok, maybe I just feel that way because she never does what I want her to do, but still! lol! When I was having cramping and spotting in the beginning, I had to beg her for betas... she was no help at all.
I sent a text to my friend who I'd loaned my Doppler to and asked for it back (she had her baby last year). She said I could pick it up tonight, so hopefully I will be able to check on the baby that way. Can't decide whether or not to spill the beans...I'm sure she's wondering why I want it back all of a sudden.
Is anyone else crazy tired??? I am more tired that I was with J. Her daycare has a monthly "date night" where you pay $20 for them to go there from 4-9pm. It's a great deal, so we always take advantage of it. My husband wasn't feeling well on Saturday, but I had plans to go get a pedicure, do some shopping, and maybe go to a movie by myself. Nope, slept for 3 hours!!!!!! Still worth my $20 though. I am finding it hard to keep up with my LO. I don't know how full-time stay at home mom's do it. The 3 days I work are such a break in comparison!
nectarine / 2641 posts
@78h2o: I'm totally exhausted. And super whiny/in a bad mood all the time too. I'm sure I'm loads of fun to be around. After a morning with LO, I was supposed to work this afternoon. We had a pretty good morning, but I got short-tempered at the end of it. I asked LO if he wanted to stay with me or go with Grandma this afternoon, figuring I could rearrange work because I was feeling guilty. He picked Grandma. Oh well… I don't blame him. I'm no fun these days.
