@LindsayInNY: I've been doing a lot of frozen breakfast burritos. For someone who never ate breakfast but now has to with pregnancy, they are really quick and easy and they taste good (and they have turkey sausage and eggs so you're getting protein).

Ugh, DH probably has the flu. I slept out on the couch last night. I got about 3 hours of sleep. LO slept well and didn't seem phased by it. So, when I get home tonight, I have to clean down the doorknobs and surfaces, shower LO, and take care of him while avoiding DH. I think that I have another night on the couch ahead of me.

@cascademom: ugh, that really sucks! Is the the flu flu or a stomach bug? Hopefully of its the flu your shot will help you out.
I just had my genetic counseling and bloodwork. It was very in depth, I was surprised. The test was Harmony, not Verifi, but I think they're basically the same. I also agreed to get another detailed panel done. Hopefully everything will come back ok. Looking forward to finding out gender!

@78h2o: Thanks. I'm hoping it's a stomach bug. He looked okay during dinner and with LO. Then, he just felt sick and threw up a lot. It's not what we need the week that we're going to baptize LO and have a bunch of family and friends over to our house.

Ugh. I'm so sick to my stomach... My work does corporate reorgs yearly. The last time I worked here, my position was eliminated company-wide. I had only been there 5 or so months at the time. We have a team call today about it... I've been getting bits and pieces of information and some positions have been eliminated in other areas, management has been moved around. This makes me so nervous and nauseous to think about. Please send good thoughts, prayers, juju, anything my way.

@Eko: @LindsayInNY: @MrsBrewer: You guys give me way too much credit! I totally just buy pre-made frozen burritos at the grocery and pop them in the microwave in the morning.
The brand I really like is called Good Food Made Simple (http://www.goodfoodmadesimple.com/our-products/burritos/). My favorite is the Turkey Sausage breakfast burrito which has turkey sausage, eggs, cheddar and monterey jack cheese, roasted potatoes and peppers. I'm sure you probably could make something similar from scratch but I am not enough of a morning person to have enough time to do that!

So my job is safe. Phew. Others at work have been affected and my group is being shuffled a bit so I may have a new boss in January. That'll make for a fun baby announcement...

Went to my second appt yesterday, and I was able to hear baby's heartbeat on the doppler!!
It was sooooo fast! Still at 172!

@MrsBrewer: My mom would tell you that means you're having a girl! Her OB always said if the HB was below 140, its probably a boy. Above 160, it's probably a girl. And between 140-160, he wouldn't guess. She said that me and both my siblings fit the pattern!

When I went in for my pap smear at 8 weeks, the doc said my cervix was very hard to reach because my uterus was so tilted. I am having a very difficult time finding baby with Doppler, and am wondering if that's way? I could find J easily last time. I'm a little concerned the OB won't be able to find baby with Doppler when I go for my OB appointment next Friday, but I will have my NT scan on Tuesday, so hopefully that will provide some reassurance and I won't freak out if they can't find the HB later in the week at my OB appointment!

@78h2o: It really is a wonderful sound!
Hopefully your OB will be able to find it on the doppler for you! Maybe he/she will be able to kind of angle it in a certain way while you're laying that you physically aren't able to! It took the doctor a little bit to find the heartbeat for me yesterday, it definitely wasn't right away.

After a little scare at my appointment today, I finally got to see this beautiful picture! Heart rate is 163 & everything seems good! Measuring a little big, 8w5d when I should be 8w0d, oh well!

So I had my first appointment and labs last weds. Dr thought I was around 11 wks and after my exam wasn't quite sure thought I felt smaller than 11 wks. Sent me for an ultrasound today and turns out my little munchkin in measuring at 12 wks ! Due date of 5/23. Must've o'd earlier than I thought. DH and I are beyond happy !!

@Mrs.KMM: yes!! The first attempt at the ultrasound showed an empty sac and I COMPLETELY panicked. But, the Dr was having a hard time with the machine to begin with, so we ended up moving to a different room with a newer machine. Scary! Such a relief to see a little bean!! Phew!

@78h2o I had the harmony test done as well. They drew the blood today results wont be in for two weeks. We also decided to add on the gender test. I have a little cousin who was born with downs so I'm a little worried and want to make sure every thing is okay. Finding out gender makes it soo much much exciting. Can't wait.

Ugh - headaches are killing me. I've been having them the last three days but today's are worse. Going to try to leave work early.

@Mrs.KMM: I just got hit with a headache this morning. I'm not sure if it's pregnancy, weather/allergy, or catching the flu which is what my husband had this week. Last night was my first night back in a regular after two days on the couch while he was at his sickest.
