@78h2o: Our first reaction was that we really liked it, but then we realized it has the same problem as Holden But definitely on the right track.

@78h2o: I voted in your name thread for Holly! I love it!
I'm nervous for my TDap shot now! I'm getting it at my 32 week appt. it's weird, at my practice they don't start the every other appts until 32 weeks, I always thought it was at 30 weeks?
Alright so since everyone is sharing their name choices, I'm going to go ahead and join!! We aren't telling anyone IRL until the baby is here though. For a girl it will be Jana Abigail, and for a boy it will be Jackson Ezra, unless if it's a boy born in June 1st (his grandfathers bday), because my husbands grandfather recently passed away, and we would honor him with the middle name which would then be Jackson Thomas. But we wanted to keep the middle names with a biblical reference!

@MrsBrewer: I love those!
I'm having my family/maternity pictures done today! I know I'm a little early (28 weeks) but I feel like I have plenty of belly and haven't gotten swollen yet so I'm going to go for it! Also my glider arrived yesterday so it's been a big couple of days for the baby!

@rpparker: I think now is a good time to get photos done! I keep thinking about how large I'm going to look in my photos that people take during the baby shower. I definitely say now is better than waiting and possibly just looking swollen.

@rpparker: So exciting!! I bet your photos will turn out amazing!!
I think I'm going to skip maternity photos...

Ok, thoughts on the name Ryland? I'm kind of loving it. Probably Ryland George.
nectarine / 2641 posts
@Eko: probably Ryles. Or just Rye. And thanks! It's the first one we've both liked in awhile.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@Jess1483: Sounds like progress! I personally like the nn Rye over Ryles, but all sound like good choices.
apricot / 363 posts
@Jess1483: I like it a lot! Rye would be a cute nn.
Ok I have to share one! Even though I felt huge and gross I'm glad that we went ahead and captured this special time! And I'm glad I didn't wait until I was any bigger or before it got any hotter here!

@rpparker: gorgeous! I didn't/won't do maternity shots with either pregnancy, but photos like this make me feel like I should! And thanks! I think it's our new front-runner!

@rpparker: OMG GORGEOUS!! Don't hate me but, my brother is a photographer and I just showed him this. He came up for his birthday/ Easter, and is doing my maternity photos this weekend. I want this shot! He said it looks amazing

Thanks y'all! It ended up being a lot of fun!
@dc yoga bee: That's such a nice compliment! Hope your shoot goes well! We had to include the dog in some too - probably our last photos with her as the "baby"!
@LindsayInNY: Dress and scarf are from Old Navy! The dress has a slit on one side which I think dresses it up from other maxis I've see!

@rpparker: So, I showed my DH your maternity shot, and he goes, "Oh, yeah. That's _____. I saw those pictures on Facebook yesterday." It's a small world! You guys went to undergrad together and did the same interim trip to Costa Rica.

@MamaB: Whhhaatt!? Crazy small world! I got on my facebook and I think I've put it together who you are too! So fun to "know" you now!

@BabyMats: I am no longer gold...did you post an update? How are you and the babies? Did they stay in or did you have them? Hope all is well.

@LindsayInNY: I'm with you - my belly button seems to be a long way from popping. But I have a super deep innie normally.
@Eko: I've never found TDAP to hurt for me (thankfully) so it doesn't with everyone. Maybe your nurse is one of those people like me!
@MrsBrewer: Love your name choices!

DH finally got to feel baby Ellie moving tonight! I've been trying to get him to all week but every time he'd put his hand there, she'd stop moving! Can't believe I'm going to be 30 weeks tomorrow!

@78h2o: hey sorry, i dont know why i made it gold. But my update was that babies are both a little over a week old and are doing really well. No apnea episodes for baby girl since she was 2 days old and my son hasnt had since he was about 4 days old. They are gaining weight and have gained back what they lost and surpassed their weight already they are going to wean them off of cpap and take their iv out. Just all on all they are doing great. Asking for prayers and good thoughts that they stay on this track because i know it is possible that it can change. It is up to my babies.
thank you for thinking of us too

@BabyMats: I've been wondering about you and the babies. I'm sorry that they didn't stay in for longer, but I'm so glad to hear they're currently doing well. I'll continue to send good thoughts your way!

@rpparker: I love your photos!!! They came out really nice.
@BabyMats: Glad to hear that your babies are doing well even though they couldn't stay in longer. I will continue to think about you and keep good thoughts your way for you and those babies.

@BabyMats: Thanks for the update. Congratulations on their birth!!! I'm glad to hear they are doing relatively well! I guess they couldn't wait any longer to meet their mama! I will definitely keep you all in my prayers.

Had my GD test this morning. I didn't think the drink was all that bad at all! Guess I'm weird, LOL. Also, apparently my OB's office doesn't automatically move you to biweekly appointments. My next is in another 4 weeks (at 32 weeks) and they may keep them that way if all is going well. Works for me?!
nectarine / 2148 posts
@LindsayInNY: I didn't think the drink was too bad. It was just irritating on my belly because of the fasting. They didn't move me to bi-weekly right away either. My next one is 3 weeks after and then I'll be bi-weekly for about 2 appointments then it's weekly. I'm not too sad about the spacing since it's a little of a hike for me to get to the office.
coconut / 8854 posts
@LindsayInNY: @Eko: that's how my office is too! I don't start the bi-weekly until after 32 weeks
bananas / 9229 posts
@Eko: I didn't have to fast. Was just told to have a high protein breakfast (like eggs) beforehand.
apricot / 363 posts
@BabyMats: So happy to hear they are doing well!
@LindsayInNY: I am in a in-between stage on appointments because I had been going every 4 weeks and then she wanted me to wait 3 weeks after the GD test and then I go to every 2 weeks after that appointment. @Eko: I just couldn't eat within 2 hours of the test. There is so much variability between doctors!
Have any of the first time moms started a pediatrician search? I have that on my to-do list but I honestly don't even know how to get started!
nectarine / 2148 posts
@rpparker: I started searching thinking it was going to take me forever. I actually got a recommended list from my doctor and there happened to be an office really close to my house. I haven't done anything further because I am not sure what to do once I found one I want to go with. Seems weird to call them up and say 'hey I'm having a baby in June and I'm suppose to tell you about it.' lol
coconut / 8854 posts
@rpparker: I was told to have a pediatrician picked out by my 28 weeks appt actually! I'm lucky that my SIl has 4 LO's and she loooves her pediatrician, so I'm going to use hers! that's pretty much the extent of our research though!
bananas / 9229 posts
@rpparker: We have one nearby so I basically assumed we would automatically use them and haven't looked elsewhere. I haven't done anything beyond that though!
apricot / 363 posts
@Eko: That's how I am too!
@MrsBrewer: Oh no! I hope I'm not too far behind. What's crazy is my doctor hasn't even mentioned it but I just know it's something I'm supposed to be doing from blogs and books! We are taking our baby class until the first of May so I might be behind!
I only have one other pregnant friend here in town and we have a lot of the same preferences (just by chance we go to the same OBGYN, drive the same car, live in the same neighborhood, we even have dogs from the same litter) so I trust her pediatrician suggestion but I feel like I need to call more than just one office before I decide.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@MamaB: No joke right!? I totally was thinking about that as I was attempting to shave my legs this morning.
I was visiting with my mom and she has very low-level toilets in her house and it made things unnecessarily difficult. As if pregnancy is not embarrassing enough sometimes.
