Congrats on all the lovely arrivals! I'm sorry I waited so long to get on here and update you all. Our little arrival came June 9th at 40+6. We had a girl!
I had prodromal labor several nights, but once things accelerated I had a lovely and smooth first stage at home using hypnobabies. I chose to transfer to the hospital after six hours of pushing; progress had become so slow, it seemed that something was holding baby up. My midwife could feel some tight bands she thought were scar tissue. We were both coping with it beautifullly, but I felt something needed to change (I was thinking epidural to labor down or forcepts or something). Well, the doc on call pushed hard for another c-section and wasn't willing to try forcepts or anything. I probably should have asked for a second opinion but didn't. So we ended up in surgery, and my bladder was cut. There was tons of scar tissue from my first c-section (I got a post-surgical infection and healed really poorly the first time).
Long story short: lovely labor at home, sucky surgery and a week-long catheter. I don't regret laboring for her (and doing it at home was much nicer!). It just seemed to be a possible case of the first surgery causing a second surgery due to extensive scar tissue.
Thankfully, I'm healing WAY better this time. I hope that means I will form less scar tissue. Baby is just perfect. Eating better than her older sister did. She's pretty chill so far. The toddler is way more demanding than the baby!
