@YogiBeachWife: I was not really sick with my first pregnancy, and I don't remember ever feeling as exhausted as I do now with my first. The only symptom I had for a long time for bloating...and then I was hungry a lot. I had to eat a breakfast before I left my house and then I'd end up eating breakfast again at like 10am. My sister is currently pregnant with her first and had an awful first trimester where she was constantly sick and exhausted. I guess I'm saying don't worry too much about the symptoms you don't have (even though it's hard) because everyone/every pregnancy is different!

@winniebee: it seems like most people have earlier June due dates...kinda interesting how they fell in this group because I remember my March group having a due date for almost every day of the month! I'm sure it's hard to be at the end of the month! Good luck with your appointment! Hopefully you can enjoy the weekend and not worry too much

@bookwormmama: I'm in the July group too but it's not really active! So interesting that all of my birth months I've been at the end!

@bookwormmama: looks like it's spread pretty evenly across the month. I was one of the first in my sept 2014 group. I had my baby in August but stayed with my group anyway.

@Mrs. Pajamas @tequiero21: Thanks!
@bookwormmama: Thank you for the reassurance. I guess I should be happy I don't have morning sickness! I need to stay away from Google.
Can't wait to hear about everyone's appointments next week!

@yogibeachwife: I'm in the same position as you-I've not had any nausea yet at all so my husband really is surprised as I'm not behaving in the typical way he expected so he's confused ha. I have been completely exhausted every day and am going to bed about 6-8pm and really can't do much in the evenings at all. In the last 3. days, my appetite has increased and I'm needing to eat throughout the day so I think symptoms must change and develop so nausea might come at some point! I'm just trying to be thankful I've missed it for these first few weeks.

@jape14: Welcome and congrats!! I understand about the anxiety... I've been a bit worried/anxious as well!
@rattles: What a beautiful picture! I'm sure you feel worlds better!!!
@Mrs. Pajamas: I understand! I had my first OB apt. and they only checked the heartbeats. They found one immediately! 164! They had some trouble finding baby b which concerned me. Apparently they are both snuggled up on the same side. They used 2 machines and found the other heartbeat at 170! My RE never really measured them, so I'm looking forward to my first real u/s! I'll be sent to the high risk doc for all u/s and I'm hoping to see them over Thanksgiving! I just want to know that they both are growing and they're healthy! How are you doing?

I am also living in anxiety land a little more than usual, but I have an OB appointment tomorrow and talk to my therapist on Wednesday (anxiety is unfortunately nothing new for me, cannot recommend therapy enough), so I'm hoping that will help. I had a couple of better days nausea wise last week, but the last couple days have been really rough. Hoping to see the end of it soon!

I shouldn't have said I was feeling well! Feel like I've been hit by a truck this weekend. Nausea, tired, hungry. Yuck!!!

@winniebee: oh man good news / bad news...
I find the misery both reassuring and unbearable. I hope you're feeling better soon!

Ok - to update: had my first official meeting with a midwife today and talked about family medical history and flicked through a questionnaire thingy and she was done in 30mins. Next appointment is 16weeks but I need some kind of evidence I'm pregnant as the absence of morning sickness is getting to me now. A blood test or scan or heartbeat and I'll be ok!

Sorry - I know I'm being really insensitive to all of you struggling with nausea! just had to vent for a second. X

@Tubbs: Still no sickness for me either!! How far along are you? Is there a reason why your midwife didn't do an ultrasound? Why wait until 16 weeks? Sorry for the questions... First time mom here and I have no idea what to expect or questions to ask. My first appointment is tomorrow morning and I'm assuming they are going to look for a heartbeat. I hope so or I'm going to be so upset!

@winniebee: Hoping all is wonderful with your appointment tomorrow. Sending you positive thoughts.

@Tubbs: I guess in the U.K. They don't have nt scans? I called to make sure I get an us at 9 weeks and they said they will add a viability us.
@winniebee: yup, sux to feel sick, but a bit reassuring... feel better!

@yogibeachwife: I was 10wks+1 yesterday when we met, I asked questions about which illnesses I should really watch out for as I work in a school but we haven't got an Admin/Health&Safety officer at the minute so I have to just be alert for myself. We have 2 scans in the UK - 12 wks and 20wks but I suppose I wanted a bit more reassurance. Had a vivid nightmare last night so I guess I have to just calm down really. I don't feel I can tell my family yet though.

@Tubbs: I'm sorry you don't feel settled and confident. It's so hard when you don't have concrete proof everything's okay in there!
@winniebee: sorry you're not feeling well but hopeful it bodes well for baby! Good luck today!

My ultrasound went fine! Saw good little heartbeat. 7 weeks today and measuring 6.5 which is what I expected. Cried though whole ultrasound! I'll go back in 2 weeks. My OB is amazing and has offered to see me as often as I want.

@winniebee How wonderful! And I'm glad your OB is so supportive.
My appointment today was good too, TH (tiny human) was measuring a little ahead of schedule and had a good heartbeat! Sadly, they were asleep so no moving, but a good appointment overall!

@winniebee: @msmilkshake: yay for great appointments.
I'd love my doc to see me earlier! He says every 4 weeks, which seems so long!

Hi All, Appointment went well. I met with one of the midwives for about an hour - chatted and had a physical exam. So much info! No ultra sound today but she did check my uterus which is measuring 8-10 weeks which was nice to hear. I didn't realize they don't offer ultra sounds at the birth center I'm going to, only doppler. Dating ultra sound is scheduled this Wednesday evening! Can't wait!
@winniebee: @msmilkshake: Good to hear your appointments went well!! Yay!!

Just wanted to check in since its been a little while! So glad to hear everyones appointments are going well. I had a little scare over the past weekend with some spotting, and ended up in the ER. Everything checked out to be fine, and they treated it as a uti. I had a follow up appt today and got to see baby moving around crazy with a great heartbeat. So relieved!
kiwi / 702 posts
@Mrs.Hawk71 yikes! so sorry you went through that. It must have been terrifying but I'm thrilled that all is well with the babe and you were able to see it moving around!
I just got back from my 9 week u/s and my LO was dancing like crazy! Must be all that food it is demanding all day and all night giving it so much energy. I totally forgot how human-like the baby looks this early. Totally blew my and DH's mind--in such a good way! Hope everyone is doing well and having good appointments!
honeydew / 7968 posts
@Mrs.Hawk71: eek! Glad it turned out well and you saw your baby!
@Mrs. Pajamas: yay for good appt!
I had my appt today too! Was a lil scared, seeing my baby for the first time. Solid heartbeat at 159, measuring 9.5 weeks, which is what I am. Saw it flip over so that was cool. 2 more weeks until my nt scan. Doc said I'll get the panorama?
kiwi / 702 posts
@tequiero21: great news re: your appt and how cool to see your baby flip around. I was amazed by all the movement I could see. My OB explained all testing stuff today. It's complicated for sure. With DD (when we lived in DC), I didn't' have to make any choices, they just told me where to go and when and it was way easy but apparently CA has their own specific testing for 12 weeks. Ugh.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@tequiero21: That's awesome!!! Panaroma is one of the well-established NIPT tests. Have you gotten NIPT before? It's pretty standard if you are 35+ .
kiwi / 702 posts
@winniebee ah thanks for clarifying that NIPT is for us "old" moms--hahaha. That's why it's so different from my last pregnancy when I was "young". ugh, i really hate this AMA label and think it's ridiculous!
honeydew / 7968 posts
@Mrs. Pajamas: that's interesting how they do things differently in different states!! lol old moms lol. That's me. Just turned 39. Having the baby just in time cuz my factory is officially closing at 40 lol.
@winniebee: first time doing panorama. I did harmony test with my last pregnancy.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@tequiero21: oh gotcha. I've heard great things about panorama. It's actually more inclusive!
@Mrs. Pajamas: technically it's called "geriatric pregnancy" - for real!!!! but my high risk doctor has told me he doesn't even really give pregnancy pause at age 35 and doesn't really consider you AMA until 40+.
