@swedishfish: yay!! Now you'll be able to relax!!
@tinypiglet: good news! Are you ready to go this weekend? That's exciting!!
I'm feeling crampy and tired today...woke up at 530 again and ready for a nap!

    How am I feeling today...?

Fine! I really feel like I might just be pregnant for another 9 months. There seems to be nothing happening and as the care here is hands off, I really have no indication as to effacement/dialation..

Despite this I am still quite relaxed and not really planning on doing anything to get things started.

I would quite fancy some live labour updates tonight, if anyone wants to have a baby this evening?? Any takers??

@jh524: I have been in the same position for the past two weekends (minus the aggressive exam) - so I'm not holding my breath...but it would be nice to meet this little girl finally!

@sea_bass: haha, I will do my best! I really thought things were going to happen last night, but nada. trying to think good thoughts and be patient. and drinking raspberry tea.

I am also meant to be done with work today, but if I'm still pregnant on Monday I have a feeling I'll continue to be working from home until labor kicks in!

@sea_bass: haha, I'm going for a walk in a few minutes. Maybe that'll get things moving for me. But I doubt it! It didn't yesterday - just gave me contractions while I walked and then they stopped.

well I'm back from the other side and have a beautiful, healthy baby BOY to show for it - born June 11th. I was scheduled to be induced on Tuesday, and I started going into labor on my own Monday evening - which was actually a good thing. By the time I started the Pitocin, I was already feeling regular contractions and 3 cm dilated. I had a pretty intense labor, but it was of course all worth it.

7 lbs 14 ounces, 21 inches long. I'm so in love with him already. Got discharged from the hospital yesterday and went to first doctors appointment today.

@Espion: my sister told me she'd pay me $500 to have the baby today or $1,000 to have the baby tomorrow night so she wouldn't have to go to work on Monday. That's some pressure, ha!

Any signs for you today? Still nothing here..

Any babies this morning?:) the rest of the june babies are due within days here, except I'm at the end with only 10 days. ......It's crazy!!!! Can't believe it! Cant wait to meet this baby ive been incubating for 9 months!!!!
Oh and fyi, The full moon is on Sunday the 23 rd.

  21. swedishfish

    GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts

@sea_bass: absolutely nothing! During my walks the past two days I've had constant contractions but I had hardly any during today's walk. My back is aching a bit but I think it's more due to my humongous belly. No signs at all for you???

@jh524: oh my goodness, I cannot wait till the 23rd. I will go stir crazy!

  22. jh524

    pear / 1632 posts

@swedishfish: my dr. Induces at 41 weeks. What about yours? Haha! Yeah, the thought of going over your due date is a bit much, huh !

Oh, I got an exercise ball and have been using it for sitting , bouncing, exercises and I'm loving it, highly recommend getting one!

  23. swedishfish

    GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts

@jh524: They'll only let me go a week past my due date so if I make it to my appointment on Monday we will schedule an induction date then. I really thought DH would be a dad for Fathers Day! Oh well, I sent him Crumbs cupcakes from the baby anyway.

I have to go borrow my sister's exercise ball. But it wasn't blown up enough so I kept falling off...plus I'm a klutz! Haha.

  24. jh524

    pear / 1632 posts

@swedishfish: oh that was sweet of you. So when they schedule the induction date once you go over, is it within a day, a few days, a week? Don't get discouraged by not feeling anything significant. From what I read, labor can start suddenly without any signs.
Think oxytocin, it's what is released that starts labor. You can naturally release it and possibly jump start labor with a few different things....such as laughter, walking, deep breathing, orgasam, etc.... : )

    Look at this... http://www.jamesaltucher.com/2012/08/10-unusual-ways-to-release-oxytocin-into-your-life/

    GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts

@jh524: I'm not sure how an induction date works. It probably depends on the hospital's schedule? I would assume they'd give me a week to try to go into labor naturally but I guess I'll find out on Monday!

  26. jh524

    pear / 1632 posts

@swedishfish: that's exciting, knowing there is an end that is very close is quite comforting and surreal.

  29. jh524

    pear / 1632 posts

@swedishfish: still feeling crampy, especially during any sort of activity. And my boobs itch...dunno what that's about. How about you?

Went for a walk this morning and almost didn't think I could make it home because I had to pee and he was squishing the begeesies out of my bladder. Not fun!!! But we just got back from the hotsprings and it was glorious. Just what i needed...I sat in the coolest pool which was very cool (body temp) and the weather was in high 70's.

@jh524: I've had a few contractions today but nothing consistent. I think this baby is content to stay right where he/she is. I'm glad you were able to relax today! Any good plans for tomorrow?

I am officially being harassed by everyone in my family about where this baby is.

  31. sea_bass

@swedishfish: nothing! Not so much as a cramp or BH... Still feeling ridiculously comfortable.. Makes me feel like I have a way to go... Seriously, nothing.. What about you?

  32. jh524

    pear / 1632 posts

@swedishfish, @sea_bass: just realized you both have the same due date... Only Tomorrow left and then it's here!!!!

Any plans to do something for your hubby's or sig. other for Father's Day?? or doing something with your fathers? I'm gonna get hubby a card and some beer or something

  33. swedishfish

    GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts

@sea_bass: I've had a few more random contractions but nothing of significance.

@jh524: oh thanks for the reminder! I have a card and lotto scratch off for DH. I should fill out the card before I forget again. We upgraded DH's iPhone last week because his old one wasn't working at times so that was his Father's Day gift along with the Crumbs cupcakes. Man, I want a cupcake so badly but DH is still at work. I can't just eat one of his cupcakes without him here!

Ah, I forgot to mention that I went to the grocery store earlier and people did double and triple takes when they saw me! I was so embarrassed. I guess I should stick to wearing looser tops instead of tighter maternity tops.

so, I spent the day with a friend having brunch and getting mani/pedis. the color on my fingernails is seriously called "it's a girl!" (how cute is that?!)

after she headed home around 5 pm, i started having contractions about every 10 minutes and that has continued going on all night. i do believe i also just lost my mucus plug. eek....i think we might be having a father's day baby! will keep you posted tomorrow...

Did your baby move and kick way less after 38 weeks? It feels like he's out of room, as I can feel him hard as a rock in my tummy. Do you feel the same? Am I just worrying...

@jh524: Flipper definitely moved way less in the last few weeks. And it seemed like throughout the pregnancy that he graduated from occasional kicking straight to "mixed martial arts". So I hear you on the disconcerting. I always tracked him when I knew he'd be most active, which was between 7p to 11p.
