How far along: 4w4d
First child? Yes!
First doctor appointment: First beta was today, 2nd will be next monday, and first u/s will be sometime the 2nd week of July.
Any symptoms so far? I'm taking Progesterone-in-Oil nightly so a lot can be contributed to that, but I'm exhausted. I've had a bit of cramping but my RE said not to worry it's just my uterus stretching and to stay well hydrated
Who have you told? Our parents. This pregnancy resulted from our first IVF cycle after 2.5 years of ttc, so they knew what was going on and that we would be getting results today.
I know it's early to be getting excited, but our beta was really strong (462) and it's nice to get to be happy after so many months of disappointments!

@abdubbs: congrats and welcome! I'm pregnant with my second from a frozen cycle. I was put back on PIO injections due to low progesterone. I'm aching!

It seems like we have a lot of ladies on here who have been trying for a while to get their ! So, I'll officially ask:
How long were you trying before this cycle? (Or were you!?)
How far along are you now?
DH & I tried for 8 months/6 cycles. I'm anovulatory PCOS and conceived on my 2nd round of 50mg Clomid.
I'm 6w4d today!

@swedishfish: Thank you! The PIO is definitely not fun, but (in my opinion) it's definitely better than the suppositories, so I'll put up with the pain, ha!

@swedishfish: Oh you poor thing!!!! I can't imagine. I would definitely whine about that daily!

@HeartAbandoned: Thank you! And to answer your other questions - we were trying for 2.5 years and before our IVF we did 3 rounds of clomid and 3 letrozole/IUIs that all failed. Feeling very lucky at the moment that IVF worked and crossing all fingers and toes that it sticks!

@HeartAbandoned:
I went through IVF for my first LO, R. She will be one year old this Wednesday! I was anovulatory due to mild PCOS and my DH has male factor issues.
I, miraculously, got pregnant naturally in January without trying...like we thought I couldn't get pregnant so we weren't preventing. I miscarried in March.
We did a frozen cycle in May and here I am. We had planned to start trying again this May/June for a second LO.
ETA - we TTC for 8 months for R and ended up at the RE after only 4 months TTC. I knew I had ovulation issues before meeting my DH.

@abdubbs: Congrats and welcome!
@HeartAbandoned: I got pregnant on my fourth cycle, but it was my 6th month of trying. I had years and years of regular cycles, then the instant we decided to TTC, bam, 60+ day cycle.
I'm 6w1d today!

@abdubbs: Congrats!
@Aria: I'm so glad it went well. That made me smile!
I posted an update on my low progesterone post. Ultrasound showed a baby measuring right on track but the gestational sac was 2 weeks behind, so the doctor thinks the odds are that I'll miscarry soon. I don't want to be the downer around here, so I'll probably take a break from the group in terms of reporting my progress in pregnancy until I am further along. I'll be cheering all of you on though!

@Tidybee: I'm so sorry. I'm going to pray for a miracle though.

@HeartAbandoned: We tried for 10 months/9 cycles. We actually went to the RE after 8 months since my obgyn suspects I have mild PCOS. I made it through bloodwork and HSG, was supposed to have the follow-up appt with the RE on the 18th and got my BFP on the 16th
5w4d today!
@abdubbs: Congrats!!
@Tidybee: So sorry about your news. Thinking of you

@abdubbs: Welcome!
@HeartAbandoned: We got pregnant this time on our 4th cycle (7 months). I also got pregnant on my 2nd and 3rd cycles, but lost them both at about 4.5 weeks. Then we had a testing cycle and all results came back normal.
I'm 6 weeks exactly today!
@Tidybee: So sorry to hear this news. Hang in there - you are so tough for being so strong and enduring all of this during such a long wait.

@TidyBee I'll be thinking of you. Good luck and many hugs. The waiting is the worst part.

I have officially outgrown two pairs of jeans as of this morning. I can't button most of my jeans, but I can fake it with the rubber band trick. But now I have two that are going into storage! I guess that means this is getting real?!?

Ladies, I have been so tired and so sick, I've only thrown up once but the nausea has been insane.
@HeartAbandoned: We were trying 2 years before our BFP. We had unexplained infertility and had tried a cycle of clomid and a medicated iui cycle then took a break to figure out what to do next. We signed the papers to start IVF a week before the positive test. It was so crazy. I'm 7w3d today!
@Tidybee: I'm so sorry you are going through all this. I'm praying for you.

@HeartAbandoned We have been trying for 8 months. We went first started trying I went to an acupuncturist because I heard it helps right away she told me I had a thyroid issue. So thankful she caught that because it took from January until May to get my levels right with medication! We had a CP in march but i think its bc my thyroid was still not in the right level.
I have my Drs appt a week from today I cant wait! I hope I can hear the heartbeat! I hate that I am just waiting ... i want confirmation! I am still really bloated and my belly def looks bigger and I am always tired and peeing like every half hr so I keep thinking those are good signs!
@tidybee I am so sorry you are going through this! I am thinking of u

@Sugarmammary: @abdubbs: Welcome, congrats, and H&H 9 months!
@HeartAbandoned: How long were you trying before this cycle? (Or were you!?): I got off BCP in March to let my cycles regulate back to normal in preparation for TTC later this year. Well, we were a little sloppy the one time we BD in my fertile window in late May and boda-bing-boda-boom, pregnant! A happy surprised; we're so excited!
How far along are you now? 5+6...6 weeks tomorrow, yay!
@Tidybee: I'm so sorry he said that. I'll be praying that he's wrong!

@MrsTal: I feel ya. I haven't thrown up, but I feel awful. And the hardest part is that I would feel okay if I just ate, but I am having an aversion to ALL food. I never thought there'd be a day that I didn't want to eat chocolate, but I can't even stand the thought of it. The only thing I can stomach right now is watermelon.

@Tidybee: Thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way.
We tried for 10 months to get pregnant this time around. I think my LP was extra short due to still nursing DS.
I'm 5w today! I feel like time is crawling by. I'm still so nervous something will go wrong. I hate that...

well, lucky for me morning sickness seems to have set in... no puking, but just an overall yucky feeling that comes and goes all day long. And gas pains that kept me up for almost 2 hours last night. I bought seabands on a whim this morning on my way to work, but clearly can't wear them to work since it's summer and would be super obvious! I'll try them at home and hope they help!
I also got Earth Mama Angel Baby morning wellness tea, which seems to help a bit if I can stomach it, and keep saltines nearby constantly. Anyone else find things that are working? I couldn't find unisom at the store... where do they keep that stuff?

Morning Ladies! Headed to my first appt this A.M. I'm super nervous! Will check back in with you ladies with a follow up.

@Circusbee: Preggie pops are the only thing that has worked for me. I had major nausea with pregnancy #2 (miscarriage) and no amount of saltines or ginger ale could fix it. Pop a preggie pop and I was fine. You can get them at the major baby stores or just order on amazon, diapers.com, etc.

First child? No. DD is 11 months.
First doctor appointment: July 2nd
Any symptoms so far? Mainly just exhausted (miss my coffee!!).
Who have you told? DH and I broke down & told my parents & sis over the weekend. I couldn't keep it in!
persimmon / 1147 posts
Our first appointment went well but was a bit chaotic! I'm seeing the same OB that delivered DD so it was nice to have an already familiar face. With my first labor I ended up having a retained placenta and was rushed to the OR and put under after she was born to have it removed and to stop the bleeding. It was a terrifying experience (in the first 6 months or so of her life I swore we were one and done!) but my OB eased my fears about going through it again and everyone can now be more prepared if it were to happen again. She took blood and we chatted and confirmed my due date is 2/12. The bad thing was DH got stuck with a patient so I had to bring DD to the appointment (22 months). She did great while we chatted but as soon as my doctor positioned me for a quick pelvic exam she freaked out and continued to be upset through them taking blood and out the door poor baby we are telling our parents July 4th weekend so we will have babysitters for all future appointments! The best news is I scheduled our first ultrasound for July 5th and I'm so hoping to see that little heartbeat flicker!
