@heartabandoned I think I'm having that too. I had a bad cold right around O and it just never really went away. For the past 2.5 weeks or so I've been a bit sniffly and have mucus stuck in my throat. Like you said, though.... Better than having nausea!
And my cramping has turned into more of a burning kind of feeling in my abdominal area...? It comes and goes

@Aria: If it gets any heavier or turns red, I'd call the doc. When you're there on Tuesday tell them about it. They can draw blood right there in the office and let you know if progesterone is low.

Thanks all for your responses the other day, it helped me stop freaking out so much. There hasn't been any spotting yet this morning, so I'm feeling better about it.

@Aria: I agree that typically brown spotting is normal. Brown means old blood making its way out.
I've had this really sharp acute pain in my back left hip. Anyone else having this symptom? Didn't happen with DD although I know it's probably my body just adjusting.

Hi all! This is my first post here! I'm also very active on weddingbee but thought I'd try out the more baby-centric Hellobee too! I'll go back and get caught up on this thread, but for now I just really want to roll call!

First child? Yes!!!
First doctor appointment: Thursday, June 26th and I'm so excited! We're getting a dating ultrasound because I have long cycles and even tho I know exactly when I O'd via charting, they have to be sure. Then having the talk with a nurse ob. First apt. with my doctor will be a few weeks later.
Any symptoms so far? Frequent urination, that one really tipped me off. Also brown spotting, continuous high morning temps, and when I'm hungry I have to eat or else I'll get nauseous.
Who have you told? Only DH knows. We're going to tell our parents and sisters this coming weekend after our first appointment making sure everything looks good in there with little one.

I started bleeding. I know people have bled and been okay but I am not feeling good about this. I called the doctor, but she said there's nothing they can do, she just moved my appointment up to first thing Monday morning.

@Aria: Is your blood still brown or is it red/pink?? I've been spotting brown for a little over a week.

@MrsNoodle: welcome and congratulations! Someone close to me has a birthday of February 18!
@Aria: hugs. I'm glad they moved your appointment to Monday morning. I will be thinking of you. I've been there and it's not fun. Try to do something for yourself tomorrow to take your mind off of things.

My levels went up to 77. So more than doubled but they still want me to go in next week to do more blood work. So frustrating.

@intotheocean: There was a good amount of bleeding yesterday (like AF), but it's stopped for now. Trying to take it easy and not think about it until my appointment tomorrow morning.

@Aria: it could be a sub chorionic bleed. Maybe it fixed itself! Fingers crossed for you.

Happy Monday! How is everyone doing? I was at my SIL's bachelorette party over the weekend - it was baby's first time at a dance club! Needless to say with all the other girls partying all weekend I was quite exhausted and of course, sober the whole time.
I'm just over 6 weeks and still have no morning sickness - sometimes I'm worried about that and other times I'm just telling myself I'm lucky (so far)! And my cramping has pretty much completely stopped. Our u/s is this Thursday and I can't wait!!
@MrsNoodle: Congrats and welcome!

@Kbee: Wow, you are a really good SIL to go clubbing pregnant! Was it fun, despite being tired and sober??
I totally feel you on the worry about the lack of MS. I feel totally fine. I think once you have your U/S and things look good you'll feel better about counting yourself lucky!

@Kbee: Thank you! And lol, baby's first time at a dance club, love it! I'm 5+5 and have my first u/s this Thursday too! I'm so excited to see little one and hopefully see that all is well in there. If so we'll be telling our parents and sisters this weekend and I'm so excited! Thursday please come fast!!!

@Aria: thinking of you and hoping the appointment went well.
@Kbee: I didn't have a lick of morning sickness with my daughter. I was convinced I had miscarried because of my lack of symptoms. She's a perfect 20 month old.
I head in for ultrasound soon. I'm kind of a mess but happy to know I can stop living in limbo land.

Thanks all for the support. The appointment went really well today! They baby is measuring right on track, and we heard the heartbeat! As soon as we heard it, I started crying I was so relieved! We even got some ultrasound pictures which was exciting. No explanation for the bleeding, and I'm still spotting but the doctor seemed unconcerned.
@Tidybee: Thinking of you today, good luck at your appointment.

@Aria: That's great news!
I have two confessions: I took another pregnancy test on Friday because why not. And, it made my morning that a March-2015 board has been started.
One more week down!

@Tidybee: good luck at your ultrasound. Hope it all goes smooth
@Kbee: did you tell the other girls you were pregnant or did you manage to hide it? My first ultrasound is Thursday too
@Aria: So happy for you that you heard the heartbeat and everything went well

@Tidybee: thanks for your reassurance. I hope everything is going okay with your appointment today and that you get some good news!
@loopedd: It was definitely more fun than I expected being the only one not drinking all weekend!
@MrsB2012: I did actually tell them I was pregnant. I didn't know most of them prior, and so it's not really as big of a deal that they know. Both mine and DH's parents know I'm pregnant, so I was going to tell my SIL before the weekend began anyways. I just figured all the girls might as well know I'm pregnant instead of just thinking I'm super weird and lame It ended up working out well because they all kind of looked after me and made sure I was feeling okay!
@Aria: Yay! So glad your appointment went well!

@Sugarmammary: Welcome!
@Annebird: I felt the same way about the March board! We're not the newest pregnant ladies anymore Also, I took way more tests than I should have up until last week. I took digitals until I saw 3+ and even after that took a few more FRERs. Ridiculous, I know. Has anyone heard of the hook effect with hpts after about 5-6 weeks? Apparently when hcg is high enough, the test can actually be lighter instead of darker, but if you dilute it then it will be dark. That happened to me last week. Yes I'm crazy. In all fairness, I wanted to make sure things were progressing before telling DH's parents.

@Aria: Such wonderful news! Yay!!!
@Sugarmammary: Congrats & welcome!
@Kbee: So good to know about the hook effect! I plan to take another one maybe this weekend, before we tell DH's family (the goal is to wait until after our appt on Monday, but if we can't because of work and travel schedules, we'll tell them Sunday). If we tell them before the U/S, I'll want to pee on another stick out of paranoia So this is good info to have!

@Aria: So happy to hear this! I have been thinking about you and I so glad everything went well.
We had our first appointment on Friday at 7 weeks and 3 days, and I swore it with my first child and remembered it again that there is not a more beautiful and comforting sound to a pregnant lady than to hear her baby's heartbeat. We had to do the transvaginal ultrasound to be able to measure correctly and hear the heartbeat, but it was all worth it to finally have visual confirmation that there is in fact a baby inside! With my DD, I would stress so much for each appointment that they would have to wait and check my blood pressure after the Doppler reading or the ultrasound because it was always so high if they checked it first thing.
We are excited about telling our parents this week because both sides of the family will be in town to celebrate my daughter's second birthday. We have the cutest "I'm going to be a big sister" shirt ready and waiting for her to wear to share the news when they get here.
We also have big plans for the fourth that include boating on the lake with many our friends (and some acquaintances) and I am struggling to decide whether to just spill the beans or try to pretend drink. We do this party every year, so they will know something is up if I don't drink, but I am one that waited 4 months last time to tell our closet friends, and 5 1/2 months to tell work and the world (i.e. Facebook), so I get uncomfortable even thinking about sharing when I am not even out of the first trimester, but I not really sure why. I know it is a good problem to have but is anyone else facing this situation over the coming holiday?

@liljane I hear ya! We are supposed to spend the 4th with DH's parents and some distant relatives from my side who happen to live nearby. DH's parents know already, but they'll keep it quiet if we'd like. My distant relatives are really really great, but I only just met them a couple months ago when we realized how close we live, and it doesn't seem right to tell them before we've told my own aunts, uncles, and cousins, but the last time we visited with them, my great-aunt and great-uncle were talking about how much they want another baby in the family! I can't wait to tell them because I think they'll be so excited, but I'll only be just barely 8 weeks, and we don't go to our first appointment until almost 10 weeks. So I think we'll have to keep it a secret from them for now.
