@INTOTHEOCEAN @dagret Congrats to you both!!
Im so excited just came back from my first appt only with the nurse to give me a welcome packet, get blood drawn, etc. They tested my HCG and my level was 18,522! Makes me so happy! Also, asked her about the sharp pains in lower stomach and back and she said could be gas (lovely!) or just things growing and stretching. So not to worry - just wanted to share in case any one else had that pain that I did!

@heartabandoned: Yes! I have secret boards on pinterest and private Amazon wish list for baby! Too many things!
@Mrs. Coral: @circusbee: I'm also looking at the Britax B safe - it seems like a good choice for our car too.
@keppa: @intotheocean: @dagret: Congratulations and welcome!! Yay for more February mamas
@mtex14: So glad to hear your appt went well! That's a great beta! How many weeks are you? Also glad to hear the pains are normal - I'm definitely still having them.

@Tidybee: Thanks! I think i'm still in shock...21 cycles for the first time, 3 for this one (that is, assuming this baby sticks.) Which sounds awful, but you know what I mean.
nectarine / 2834 posts
@dagret: I know too well! It took us 12 cycles with DD, and I've gotten pregnant two times in the past 6 months. Unfortunately, it now looks like my problem is now staying pregnant instead of getting pregnant. One day, I'll get it figured out I suppose!

@Tidybee: I hope you get it figured out and get your sticky #2 baby soon. I didn't know about your most recent loss - I'm sorry.

I'm feeling so nervous that something will go wrong because I'm still BFing my son. I keep thinking that if I nurse too many times in a day, the embryo won't be able to take it
Also...I feel huge already haha!

I just found out that my progesterone decreased from 45 at 14dpo down to 33 at 19dpo. Is that a concern? I know it's still above normal levels, but it was going up for a while, and now has dropped. The dr didn't mention it on the phone, but it wasn't my usual dr. that ordered the 19dpo test, so I'm not sure if either of the doctor's reviewed both of the results. I'm just so worried because of all the severe cramping I had a few days ago.
nectarine / 2834 posts
@Kbee: there was a recent post about this today. my understanding (and i have been googling the heck out of progesterone in the past week) is that anything above 15-20 is totally fine. My progesterone was 31 with DD and the nurse laughed at me when I asked if I should take supplements.
kiwi / 560 posts
@tidybee: Oh shoot just saw that thread. I'm not worried about needing supplements now, just about the possibility of my progesterone continuing to decrease. As it stands now, they aren't doing any more testing so I wouldn't know if it was. I guess I'll just have to stop worrying for now! How are you doing?

good morning! How's everyone feeling today?
I still have no nausea, but I keep noticing lots of other little symptoms, including a strong sense of smell and changing tastes. However, my mom said that she never threw up with me! She had some nausea, but she said it was never that bad... so here's hoping! If I could choose... I think I would want some mild nausea, just to know that things are developing down there... but no puking! Too bad we can't control these things!

@Circusbee: I'm alright. I have symptoms this time around, which I didn't have with DS. I'm nauseous, light headed, dead tired, and I feel super big already. My first pregnancy I would get nauseous if I didn't eat crackers right when I woke up in the morning before sitting up. Lol now it's all day business. Bleh.
I scheduled an appointment for today. Mostly because I'm nervous and hurt when I'm peeing(possible uti) and I have a stabbing pain in my right side that I'm concerned about. I don't even know how far along I am. Hahaha

I've been so nauseated that the train into work has been a challenge. I'm going in early so that it's less busy since I would probably barf if I was wedged in some dude's armpit. I'm so bloated that a couple of my coworkers have figured out that I'm pregnant. I'm not ready for maternity pants yet, but my work clothes are miserable. Mercifully, I'm on vacation next week.

I'm just super tired all.the.time. I can't get enough sleep, I've been wanting to be in bed by 9 but even then it's not enough. I have been a little nauseous off and on, but nothing that a few deep breaths and some food can't fix.
I have an ultrasound tomorrow and I'm excited but also nervous. My infertility stuggles are really messing with my head and I just can't believe we got here on our own so I have it in my head that it's going to be a blighted ovum or something like that. I will feel much better once we see the little bean tomorrow.

@Circusbee: I'm starting to feel horrible haha. So nauseous all day. No puking thank goodness. By this time with DD I was puking all day every day. I have really strong food aversions this time which is hard. Anything I cook I can't eat. I'm also bagggggeeddd. I slept for like 10 hours the night before last then went for a 2 hour nap. Thank goodness Dh was home to take care of the babe.
@intotheocean: sounds like you may have a uti/ or kidney infection which might explain the pain on the side. There's safe antibiotics for that when you're pregnant. Hopefully it gets better whatever it is!

I've been feeling okay still. I feel nauseous when I'm hungry but as long as I eat I'm fine (although most food is pretty unappealing right now) I also feel completely exhausted and unmotivated all day, but as soon as I lay down at night I just cannot sleep. The crazy heat doesn't help either, I can't wait until we get our a/c unit this weekend!
@MrsTal: good luck at your ultrasound tomorrow!

@Aria: I'm with you on the sleeping troubles! I don't remember having insomnia with my son's pregnancy, but it's pretty annoying. It takes longer for me to fall asleep than normal, I wake up a couple times in the first few hours to pee, and sometimes I just wake up for no good reason, and it takes an hour to get back to sleep. I'm working harder on getting to sleep early, because I definitely feel the effects of sleep deprivation hitting. Ugh!

@circusbee: I still have no nausea either, but like you, smelling everything and also lots of foods just taste weird. I can't say I really have an aversion to any foods yet though. Still cramping!
@MrsTal: Good luck with your u/s!

Location: DC Metro
EDD: Feb 11, 2015
How far along: 6 weeks

Any symptoms so far? REALLY sore boobs, cramps, tired, a *little* emotional.
Who have you told? DH, some close co-workers. We're going to tell our family this weekend.
We just got married in the beginning of May, so this was a little bit of a shock to us! Can't believe everything is happening so fast!

@GreeneB2 welcome and congrats!
@MrsTal I'm having another u/s tomorrow as well. I'm always feeling both optimistic and terrified that it will be another miscarriage. I haven't had any spotting and my cramping has been minor but I still can't shake the fear. I'll be 7w1d (based on OPKs) tomorrow so I'm hoping to finally see something.
nectarine / 2834 posts
@Kbee: I'm sure you're concerned but I bet it's just leveling off after supporting implantation. When do you see your doc again? Maybe you could ask...
@GreeneB2: Congrats!
@Mrs. Detour: Good luck at your ultrasound...I hope you get to see your perfect little bean!
I am only feeling symptoms from the progesterone supplements -- I'm sooo dizzy and exhuasted. I think I have bouts of nausea but the doctor said all of the progesterone could also be doing that. I haven't felt pregnant from the start...and my low hcg is probably the reason for that. I didn't have too many symptoms with DD...some minor food aversions but no real nausea. I felt more pregnant with my blighted ovum -- but I had sky high hcg so that was to blame.
nectarine / 2834 posts
@dagret: I had a blighted ovum in February, and this pregnancy is likely nonviable but the fact there was a good solid heartbeat and the baby grew at a good rate makes people a little more optimistic. We shall see.

@Aria: I am so overwhelmed with R's mystery sickness and the school year ending that I'm thankful you updated the list. I felt terrible that I've been so out of this thread. Hopefully I can catch up soon.

No symptoms here yet either. Except for being a bit more hungry (I've been having ridiculous cravings for chicken salad...weird) and feeling like my belly is already huge (which makes no sense, obviously).
I was never nauseous a day with DS, so here's to hoping that's the case this time around. I feel like each day's crawling by and I'm so nervous with how this will go that staying positive has been a bit of a struggle.

@Keppa: I feel like I look 20 weeks pregnant already and I'm not even 7. It's probably just bloating.
cherry / 111 posts
@swedishfish I agree about the bloating! I look huge -im fine in the morning but my night time its crazy
I also noticed today my appetite has picked up- I am starving! I am 7wks tomorrow maybe that's why Im feeling more hungry? who knows what a crazy ride we are allll in for
