@Bao: great names, both go well with A!

@BabyBoecksMom: Cute names!! I can't remember your DDs name!

Can you ladies FEEL where your uterus is? I *think* I can, but it's pretty low. Hoping all that is normal. I don't really poke around often though. Can't wait till my next appt on Monday!

  6. Bao

@Mrs. Champagne: I have no clue lol I can't feel anything.

@Mrs. Champagne: I can feel it too. And it is low!

Hope everyone is well! It is fun being able to tell people now. My pants definitely aren't buttoning. An elastic seems to be helping for now! Cannot wait until oct 21st to find out boy or girl!!

@Bao: I love both of those names, I really wanted a Jack, but it doesn't work with our last name.

@BabyBoecksMom: love and love!! W's going to be an awesome big sis!

Not sure about first names yet- The middle name will likely be Liam or William, since my grandpop was a William and it's my turn for middle name.

We have a 3D/4D ultrasound on Sunday since we have a huge family wedding in a couple weeks and want to know for sure by then. I'm confident, but my husband wasn't- I'm always happy to comply if he's willing to pay for an elective ultrasound

So today I told one of my bosses and our HR rep, still have one more boss to tell. They were both really happy and I was worried for nothing! My big concern was that they would be worried that I'd be gone during two big-ish work events, but they weren't - so that's good. They're going to work on setting up a maternity leave policy and I should know more in a few weeks.

@Bao: Those are both great! No names selected here except a potential for a girl, Norah. Boys names DH and I are SO different on!

    @BabyBoecksMom: Love those names!

@Mrs. Champagne: Arie is lovely! Also, I can't really feel mine although once I though I did and it was low.

@lemondrop: I'm a little worried about having Jack with our last name...I think for teasing purposes at least...

  11. lemondrop

    bananas / 9118 posts

@Bao: Yes, unfortunately ours is an open invitation- it starts with Hoff... just too close. My husband said absolutely not, me = sad panda Most last names are just fine though

  12. Bao

    GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts

@lemondrop: think "me" with a slight accent lol but DH said kids will always find something to be cruel about.

  13. lemondrop

    bananas / 9118 posts

@Bao: Yeah, that's our take too, kids will find a way to tease no matter what your name is I think your name is far enough off to be ok.

@bao I really like the name Jack, but I have a cousin named Jackson/Jack, so it's off limits for us.

I think we have names picked out...we have had a hard time because our last name starts with In (sounds like in or en) so I feel like a lot of boy names I like don't sound great with it (names that end with en or on) but I think it just takes time saying the names together to get used to the sound! I feel like my in-laws used the best boy names with our last name with DH's and BIL's names We do have middle names picked out! James or Joseph (both DH's grandfathers's names that are used throughout their families) and Louise for a girl (my grandmother's middle name). We are avoided B names (even though we kinda liked Bryce) for the reasons @Bao and @Lemondrop mentioned. We would like our boys to have the same initials and our girls to have the same initials.

Made the mistake of telling my mom our boy and girl top choices and she said she doesn't like the girl name and offered 3 names she does like and has now started calling the baby the boy name.... Ugh!

We don't have any names picked out...well, except for a boy first name. We're at a total loss for a girl, and the boy middle name is currently under debate. We decided not to think seriously about it until we know what it is. Until then, we're just tossing around ideas.

  24. anonysquire

@Bao: Dang I am 13.5 weeks :(, @Dandelion: Guess I will wait 2 more days. I will cry a little bit if I am one of those poor souls that has morning sickness up until 40 weeks.

@Dandelion: Ugh I know. I am getting stressed over this. Especially because I finally got DH on my side about the names and we were happy. Oh well she will have to deal.

  25. Bao

@anonysquire: with A I had it until 17 weeks and so far I still have it. I'm 13w4d

So last night while bowling I fell down I landed on my hands and knees fairly hard. I called my doctor and he said said not to worry, that the baby is well protected at this stage but I'm just so freaked out! I've been over alanyzing every pain or lack of pain and just can't stop thinking about it, ugh!!

@Mrs. Champagne: The only reason I told my boss is because she's a close friend of mine.

@BLUEDIAMOND: I had my first pair of pants not fit this morning, actually! I mean, they are usually tight, but I just wore them last week. I may try them again with an elastic, but it totally threw me this morning

@lemondrop @Bao: : I've always wanted a Jack too, after my dad and grandfather... but just recently tried it with the last name and definitely a no go. Maybe just John...

@fussygal: Scary! I keep having flashes that I"m going to fall on my belly or get in a car accident while pregnant. Thank goodness your belly was not a part of the landing!

  35. Mrs. Champagne

    coconut / 8483 posts

@fussygal: aw! i'm sure everything is ok if the doctor said so. landing on your hands/knees is probably the best way to fall.

After waking to pee around 3am, I was lying on my side and I swear I felt some movement. It was really low and felt like bubbles, and then a few jabs. It went on for a couple minutes. I'm only 14 weeks so I thought it was too early.. it was so weird! Wonder if it was actually baby or something else!!

  36. BabyBoecksMom

    GOLD / papaya / 10166 posts

@fussygal: Ouch, sorry to hear that But, you're doctor is right. There isn't a whole lot that would harm the baby right now. I know a couple women who fell down, belly first when they were in their 3rd trimester, and the babies were just fine.

  37. BabyBoecksMom

    GOLD / papaya / 10166 posts

@Mrs. Champagne: That sounds like early movement to me! Yay!!

@anonysquire: haha i think that's what it was.. but who knows! seems to early. i hope i feel something again. this time of not feeling sick and not feeling baby is making me a bit nervous!

@Mrs. Champagne: that sounds like movement! I've thought I felt movement this week too but it's hard to tell.
