@anonysquire: fabulous announcement!
@Mrs. Champagne: I bet that's what it was! Once you really start to feel it, you'll realize it's been going on for a while. One of the coolest feelings ever!
I'm a little bummed, I think my uterus moved up a little and now I can't feel as much as I did before. I can't wait till he gets bigger and I get consistent kicks!

@fussygal: I have now fallen twice in one week. Apparently, pregnancy is making me very uncoordinated. Luckily, I've landed on my hands and knees each time, so nothing to worry about. Now I have to be in a wedding this weekend and have scabs all over my knees and ankle...pretty!

@futuremama: oh no! Glad I'm not alone in my clumsiness but sorry for your skinned knees

@Mrs. Champagne: I am finally been feeling good! I need to add a bump photo to the other thread. Dh and I have planned our maternity reveal and I am so excited. Plus I am planning a birthday party for my little boy (he is going to be one early next month).
Hope everyone else is doing well!! I need some of 2nd trimester energy! I mean I am 14 weeks 5 days already.

@Mrs. Champagne: I'm good today. How are you? I'm super deep cleaning everything around because I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that if my house starts on fire I need to have all my important documents and family keepsakes in sight. At least some things are getting done on my day off.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@MrsRcCar: I need some energy too! I'm stuck in bed most days til like 11
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@anonysquire: I wish I could be in bed until 11! N won't let that happen and neither will my doggie. I am up by 8 am most mornings. Good luck with your cleaning. I am going to be making blankets tonight hopefully. I love the fleece blankets they are so cuddly!!!

@MrsRcCar: well on days I work I work either 2pm-10pm or 7pm-7am. Oooh how fun! I need a craft night!!

@anonysquire: What do you do for work? I work in a medical office so my hours are 8-5 M-F. Which is great for planning things just not for having a life...

@Bao: I like those names! My SIL has a Jaxon. We call him Jax for short..

Here is our announcement pic. The lighting isn't the greatest and DH smudged my sign but other than that I think it's pretty good/unique! Had to get our alma mater in there
We haven't posted it yet, but I think I'll post it this weekend or Monday. It really is SO weird to tell people after keeping it a secret for so long! I was going to send it out today at work (we're a small, casual startup so I feel ok sending out something so personal), but I just felt so silly about it for some reason!

I feel like I'm always so far behind on this thread! I have to say that I'm loving this second tri, I l'm still tired bit not exhausted and I don't feel sick anymore, hooray! I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow! How crazy is that?! It's flying by this time. We'll start talking names once we know the sex, in a few weeks.
@MrsRcCar: I love love love Henry! I wish DH liked it!
@Bao: great classic names!
@fussygal: aww! So cute! I really need to get on my announcement pic...oh and I've slacked on bump pics too...sigh
@anonysquire: adorable announcement! Love the tongue!

@anonysquire: Cute announcement - did you post it yet?
@fussygal: Awww - I love it - I would have never even noticed the smudge if you hadn't said anything (but I understand how frustrating it is, since those take a while to make)
@Bao: @MrsRcCar: Love the names!
So, we made our announcement to HB yesterday that we're having a girl (first of this group?). We'll most likely go with Caroline, since we were stuck between Willa and Caroline last time. I'm ready to start on the nursery now, but DH is not happy with my color choices (coral and gray). Bah!

Here's our FB announcement I wrote "Joel's studying up! Big brother title ETA March 1st"
Here's an outtake in his pjs when he was much more interested in 1 fish 2 fish.

@BabyBoecksMom: I love coral! You got plenty of time to talk him into it, lol

@fussygal: so cute! DH and FIL are HUGE Ducks fans
@BabyBoecksMom: love coral! DH is kinda just going with the flow with my ideas. I "gave" him the baseball room if we have a boy even though I kinda wanted to do a zoo/animal theme.
@Mrsjets: so cute, love the use of books!

@Mrsjets: Love this!! Such a cute idea.
@BabyBoecksMom @debbiei8 Thanks!!

All these announcements are super cute!!! I had been feeling great until this am and felt like I pulled a muscle in my back. Hurt like hell to inhale. Went to church and lunch and was ok, but took a nap and woke up and pain is still there. Can't imagine what it'd be and not sure if I should be concerned or not! Boo.
GOLD / papaya / 10166 posts
@matador84: Ouch - sorry you're in pain. I have pulled a muscle on my ribs before and I know how painful that is. I think it's just easier to get hurt when you're pregnant, since hormones are loosening everything up.
I can commiserate. I woke up Wednesday with pain in my wrist. It still hasn't gone away, and has been getting worse since I have to keep picking my daughter up. I have it wrapped, but it doesn't seem to help a whole lot.

Hi there everyone! Just thought I would check in as it's been a while. All of these announcements are adorable! Thanks for sharing them.
I'm a bit over 16 weeks and beginning to feel human! I even went to yoga twice this week. Hooray! I even started researching cribs and cleaning out what will be the baby's room. Holy Moly. For a first time mom, just trying to pick a crib is so overwhelming! I think we're settling on the Europa Baby - it's a mid-range price, but we're hoping it'll last through two kids (someday!) Anyone used this before?
I also like reading about all of your possible names. I'd really like to name our kid after my late great-uncle, Victor. His hebrew name was Avigdor, so we were considering Ava (for a girl), but it's so darn popular! Any suggestions of variations??
I hope everyone starts feeling great soon!

@math.nerd: Glad you're feeling well!!
here are some names that start with "av"
Ava Avalon Avani Aveline Averil Averill Avery Aviana Avis Avita Aviva Avril

My mom keeps texting me girl name ideas. It would be cute if she hadn't told us she hates the name we picked and will choose the name for us....

@anonysquire: how frustrating! This is why I don't know if we'll tell anyone names until LO is here.
I'm 13w4d today and still struggling with nausea and exhaustion. Hopefully, some relief is right around the corner!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@math.nerd: my LO's name is Ava! I love it, but in my area it's not as popular.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@anonysquire: I would have flipped on her by now if it were me. I would have just flat out said, "the name is 'name' and it's going to stay that way, since we are the parents." You have great patience!
@Bao: @math.nerd: I know Ava is supposed to be super popular, but I only know one, and she's 8. I haven't heard of anyone else naming their kid that.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@matador84: How are you feeling? My muscles are really sensitive when I'm pregnant. I just have to sleep wrong and my shoulder is out for a day. Are you taking in enough potassium? I try to remember to keep mine up, but I still suffer.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
@futuremama: oh, no! Hope your nausea goes away soon! I've been really tired the past few weeks, too. After 7:00pm Im DONE. So far it show no sign of getting better!
apricot / 253 posts
@Mrs. Champagne: Ooohh... Avery. I like that too! Thanks. - also, I'm sure you've mentioned it elsewhere - but did you ever find out if your neighbor was pregnant too?
@Bao: I love it too! DH and I even picked it out before I was even pregnant. If it's a girl, we may go with it anyhow - we just happen to already know a lot of little Ava's near us.
coconut / 8483 posts
@math.nerd: haha no i haven't! it's sooo odd. she isn't drinking a thing, acting very suspicious. I'm wondering if at first she wasn't pregnant and now she is? Ah! No idea. I will update if/when she is though lol
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@futuremama: Ya I should never have done it!
@Dandelion: I just kind of say ya that's nice to her suggestions but move along. I guess she will be disappointed when baby comes.

I've been having weird pains today. Like right above my pubic bone, but it almost feels like I need to go to the bathroom, but I am empty. I wouldn't say it is like period cramps. I just don't know what it is or if I should be worried?
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
Ok I guess it is a uti? I really hope that is all this is! I go to my midwife tomorrow but just for vitals, weight and urine test. Off to go get cranberry juice!
